Non-IT Assets VS IT Assets on SDP
Hi, I am currently tagging some monitors at our company and I will be manually adding them onto SDP. I am unsure whether to tag them under IT Asset or Non-IT Asset. I know they are IT assets but if I use this section of SDP, it will take up a node which costs money. We only have 500 nodes so I need to be careful. If I use Monitors under the non-it asset section, then it doesn’t take up a node. I can’t scan monitors, so surely the non-it asset section will be ok? Is there a difference in IT assets

Speeding up software population in the Self Service Portal
I've published a few applications that are available from the Desktop Central notification area Self-Service portal. Is there a way to speed up the population of the software titles. On a freshly installed DC agent, the software list populates immediately. On a PC with an existing agent, it seems to be about 24 hours before the software populates in the list. Is there a way to speed up this so that users are able access the software immediately or within an hour of publishing the title? Thanks

Text/String Character Limit?
Good morning, we are trying to retrieve Notes from ServiceDesk's database and are finding that the text/multi-line text columns are getting cut off after 500 characters. Is there a limit to the amount of characters in a text field in Analytics? If so, is there a way to bypass this restriction? We are on Analytics Plus Build 4300. Thank you!

I'm trying to delete a key in the Registry that prevents Microsoft Teams from popping up when the user logs in. How do you use the Business Hours feature in any meaningful manner
I find where you can set the business hours, but cannot figure out how to apply them in any manner, such as using them as criteria in an alert. I cannot find anywhere that the business hours are actually used. We would like to be able to set up an alert for any file accesses in a particular network share outside of business hours. Hello, we just moved to the cloud version of SDP and I can't seem to sort requests in the same way I used to. I used to be able to sort by technician then date within the my open/unassigned view, now I can only sort by one or the other. I tried a custom view, but that doesn't have any options for sorting. Password Change Failed
Hi, the password reset process failed for one of my resources , and the reason for it in audit tab is "timeout trying using agent" . for your information this resource has cpu utilization over 90% and ssh is so slow. Alert if a ticket has not been edited in a set amount of time.
I was hoping there was a way or ServiceDesk Plus to either send an email or alert the Technician in some way if a ticket has not been updated after a certain amount of time? We have some tickets that sit in the system for a while as we are awaiting framework updates which can take weeks to come through, I want ServiceDesk to alert the Technician to update the ticket every 72 hours to that things don't get missed.

We use the microsoft recommended, and supported configuration of using ms-DS-ConsistencyGUID for Sourceanchor and immutableID's in AADsync. We use this configuration because we had multiple forests that were migrated out of, so their objectGUID (what ADManager keys off of by default) is no longer relevant to their ms-DS-consistency guid. This attribute makes it extremely easy to migrate to other forests or domains without having issues with immutableID's. Currently it is impossible to manage these

Bulk user creation criteria
I have created a template to create student accounts based on a CSV file, but sometimes users that already have an account in AD show up in the file. We put their student number in the EmployeeID field in AD, which is a unique number to each student. is there somewhere in the template or the automation that I can specify to check the EmployeeID field and not create the user if it already exists? How to bulk change a user's logon domain (UPN)?
We have a non-routable domain as our AD and to tie into Office 365 we need to add the UPN suffix for our publicly owned domain. I can do this manually in AD, user properties, account tab, and then changing the drop down to the other domain. I tried this in AD Manager plus and cannot get the change to take. I exported a list of AD users to CSV, edited the list to have sAMAccountName and userPrincipalName columns for the users I need to edit. The userPrincipalName column has the new/proper UPN set.
