serviceDesk frozen when startup
I use the tried version of SD+ ,when i finished the installation of SD and got started the SD automatically ,i have found that the startup process stoped on the 89% . Could anyone tell me why? i 'have started the Opmanager before install the SD+.and the port SD+ used is different from the Opmanager. Below is the content of wrapper.log when I start the SD+. Cannot launch/get to attachments in replies
We implemented SP12 last night, not sure if this problem was there before or not. Here is what is happening, a technician emails the requester asking for further clarification of a problem. The requester responds to the email with an .jpg attachment of a screenshot. This response then appears in the conversations section and the text says the attachment is on the message, but there is no link or way to get to the attachment.

Using pfflowd and netflow analyser
When i use pfflowd (http://www.mindrot.org/pfflowd.html) to convert pf states to netflow flows exporting to netflow analyser the router isn't recognized. Exporting to other tools like NTOP works like a charm When i use a different netflow version like 1 then netflow analyser is complaining about packets received with the wrong version so packets are received

Devices Not Showing Up In Map
I have several business views that contain objects in OpManger. Some of the maps properly display the sub-object (routers switches), but some say '15 items' but appear to contain nothing; i.e. no router icons are present. I am running build 5604.
Network Speed
I have about 25 machines running Redhat 9 and they are all showing the network connection at 10 Mbps. I am positive they are 1Gbps or 100Mbps at the least. Is there something in the snmp.conf file I need to change to have them start showing the correct connecton speed in Opmanager?

Monitoring APC UPS and Alerting
Hello, Purchased OPMANAGER under the asumption that the software will monitor our APC UPS devices at remote sites and alert us via text message or email when a UPS loses AC power and switches over to battery power. I am able to get my UPD setup and they are being monitored, but they do not report when AC power is lost and batteries kick in.. How can I get this to work correctly. Thanks, Jhottle

Question about configuring email notification
Hi, Currently we're evaluating the free license of servicedesk plus for use in our network. So far for configuring everything has been easy to figure out but I have a question on how to setup notification to the tech when a new request is entered into the system. For the mail setup under outgoing I have our mail server information entered and then for the tech I have the correct email address entered but when I create a test request I receive no email saying that a new request has been open. Ok umm the concept of showing all the mails in SP12 under conversations is a good intention, but poorly implemented. Let me give you an example. I haven't heard back from support yet and wanted to hear what other users might know about this problem. The problems I am having now are: The Sender name (in the mail settings - Outgoing Tab) is not being sent. I have "companyxyz service desk" in that field, and a "noreply@companyxyz.com" in the reply to address to deter responses. Monitoring Secure Devices
Hi Have a number of servers that are located in a secure LAN and want to be able to monitor the avaliable services (FTP,HTTP,SMTP etc). The monitoring server is not able to ping these servers as this is blocked by the firewall. When I try to add these devices to OpManager I get "Device not Found". Is there a way around this? SSH w/SuSe Linux
I am having problems getting Applications Manager connecting to retrieve os information. When using SSH is keeps saying: Check whether the PasswordAuthentication is set as yes in /etc/ssh/sshd_config file.Kindly set it as yes and restart the SSH deamon I have changed the sshd_config to say yes, but it still doesn't connect. I downloaded the SSH Tools from sourceforge like the help file stated to try, but to no use, it still doesn't work. Anyone have any suggestions? OS: Suse Linux 9.3 SSH: openssh

Domain scan only detecting Win2000
First of all, great product. We have a problem with the domain scan. We are running ServiceDesk on a Windows 2000 Server (English) and the domain scan is only picking up the workstations with win2000 (english and dutch). The other workstation do come up, but the workstation details are blank. The comments while scanning say: "Either access denied for the user or the remote DCOM option might be disabled in the workstation." But (D)COM is on at all of the workstation. Can you please help us?

OPmanager not responding
I have recently upgraded to Opmanager 5.6 and after having a problem with the JVM enviornment variable I am now expierencing random opmanager crashes that only a reboot can fix. Seems like it is a problem opening the socket to the service. Anyone else having this problem? Doug
Business View Link name change not working.
I'm trying to create a global business view to project on the wall for our NOC. I pretty much have what I need, except that I'd like to be able to rename the links in between the shortcuts on the business view. I right-click on the link>properties> and then change the name, this is all fine and good. But out of the 7 links, whenever I change it for one ie. Limerick_Dublin change to Limerick. It only changes one of the link names, the same one each time no matter which link I try to rename. Thanks,

Hi, how much is the needed bandwith to analyse about 20 router in a remote area? If I want to connect to the remote site to analyse the router, would a modem 56k be enough? How much traffic will be used by netflow to send the data to the analysing machine? The Description of NetflowAnalyser mentioned that the database will be as 10GB big. Hi, I am trying to apply a Threshold limit to a Custom Monitos/MIB that i uploaded. The data collection from the MIB work fine But i am unable to apply a thresholdto it so i then can trigger an e-mail. It lets me go in and adjust the Threshold values and i can apply these. but when i go back into the Custom Monitor the Threshold i not enabled and is uUnTicked. When i do the same procedure on a montior of say Device Responce time then the threshold is ok Any Ideas
