New Windows Service Monitor
Hello, I am having problems adding any Windows Service Monitors to one of my servers. It's a Windows 2003 server. I know I am using the right username (domain\username) and password because if I add the user to the administrators group on this server, it works fine. However if I remove the user from the administrators group, it ceases to work. It gives me the following error: Error # Access denied I know the user needs the following rights, which I have given him: 1) Allow log on locally 2) Log on
Mapped IP Port still not showing
I have mapped several IP ports which are now showing up in the Protocol graphs as I had mapped them, but the Filemaker port I mapped '5003' still shows up as part of unidentified TCP_APPS Can you think of any reason why this would be so?
Possible bug in subject line parsing for ticket #'s?
Due to a transition issue hitting us when moving to an old ticketing system to SD+, we're having to open tickets in the old system, but include information for reference in SD+. This ends up creating subject lines that look like this: ##1234## - 45678 Issue with software FOO This is forwarded or replied to from within SD+, and our incoming mailbox is included in the list of addresses to receive this. It ends up coming into the incoming mailbox and creates a NEW ticket (not 1234). This leads me to
CC'ed parties not seen in SD+ until conversations appear
We've noticed that if our service desk software receives an email-based ticket, which was cc'ed to other parties, we are unable to see these other parties until a subsequent conversation is recorded, and then they're seen. Is there a way to include a reference to those who are cc'ed?
Can SKU or Catalog # be included in purchase order info?
For items that are regularly purchased (consumables, systems built a certain way, etc), we'd like to be able to have a SKU# or catalog # be included for purchasing selection. Can we have this included? Thanks, Justin

MSSQL Data Space Statistics
When we look at the graphs for the application monitor MSSQL Data Space of DB, the titles are all ".x KBytes". We believe this needs to be the name of the database. How can we fix this?
Assigning a graph profile
I'm trying to setup graphs for a server that does not have snmp enabled. In the manual (page 174), it states to 'Refer to assigning a graph profile to a Non-SNMP device for details' I can't find this section. I have WMI resource monitors setup and they are getting responses. Anyone know how to modify the graph profiles? Thanks Chuck

Create business views on Linux installed in console mode
Hello. I am just now testing the OpManager product installed on Debian in console mode. Is there some way to run the admin tool remotely since I do not have a GUI environment on my server? It would be nice if that functionality was available in the web client interface.
multi-line box size customization
Hi, I added some multi-line field under "Request Additional Field". THe box was too small for viewing or editing. Can we increase the box size larger for ease of reading and editing. Thanks Vic Koh

Image in text body
In "Solutions" I can't seem to be able to insert an image in the text body of a solution. I tried the standard syntax (example: <IMG src="http://mg-temp:8080/images/_capturi/Microcat02.jpg">) but it just displays the text. Attachements doesn't do what I want, I need the image to be in with the text.
Crystal Reports Help
I'm trying to setup a report in Crystal (version 11) to show all closed calls for the last week. The report needs to display who the call was assigned to, the requestor, the notes and the resolution. Do any of you Crystal guru's have something similar you wouldn't mind sharing with me? I'm struggling with this and it's been several years since I've used Crystal so the knowledge is coming back slowly and I learn much better by seeing examples. I'd really appreciate any help any of you can provide.

Hi, We have the following problem. When we want to scan an sub-domain that is attached to our main domain Service Desk is not able to ping the computers that are configured in that sub domain. Windows 2000 Servers Not Monitored Correctly
Support, I have been using OpManager for a while now, and i am very impressed with how well it monitors windows 2003. However its ability to monitor windows 2000 seems to be somewhat hampered. I am unable to correctly monitor any Windows 2000 servers. I continually get authentication errors even when i know 110% that the usernames and passwords are correct and so are the SNMP community strings. Here is an example of an alarm i receive on one such box: "AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2
SQL Server reports
I love the reports generated from the SQL monitoring but as always want more. For each of the graphs it appears as though it will only generate a report for the first statistic. As an example the SQL Statistics report only generates for Batch Requests/min. Is there a way for me to get it to report off of SQL Recompilations/min?

URGENT non-admin support engineers cannot reply to contacts
Hi Engineers get an error and lose their reply if they try to reply to a contact for a request. The only workaround I have is to give them sdadmin permissions in the software. Plenty of errors logged (sent to support already). Basically "cannot contact smtp authenticator" even though all other notifications work. But, has anyone else had this problem? I assume it must be some sort of config issue, as it is such an obvious problem? I have tried restarting and rebooting. Thanks Alistair
Business Views do not appear under second user account?
OpManager 6.0 (Build 002) Hi, could you help me please? I created a new business view. When I set up a new user account R/O and restrict it only for this new business view and than log on under this account, I can not see anything on the Dashboard. Just blank page with a search field. Switch Link Speed In OpManager
HI, we are using Nortel Switches.Baystack 450 Switches. after adding the switch with IP address it shows Link Speed 2,000 Mbps on Fiber Port. It shows ethernet port speed 200Mbps instead 100Mbps. But if I telnet the switch & check this , it shows Speed of Fiber port 1000 Mbps & ethernet port speed 100 Mbps. So what do i need to do to rectify this problem. Utilization Miscalculation (Opmanager vs. Netflow Analyzer)
Netflow Analyzer doesn't seem to calculate an interfaces utilization correctly possibly because of the Ingress nature of the Netflow capture? Please see the attached image. From what I've read Netflow Analyzer is supposed to determine interface speed from SNMP, which it is doing...but if it's only registering ingress traffic, then it should probably divide the bandwith it gets from SNMP by 2. Am I correct, or is Netflow Analyzer misconfigured?

Hi there, I recently upgraded our ServiceDesk Plus to service pack 3. While I am generally happy with the product there are a few little things I would like to fix up. When a customer sends an email to the helpdesk with an attachment (usually a .BMP graphic) it doesn't show up in the call, and instead I have to right click it, save it to desktop and open it there.
