Merge request bug fix
Love the feature Merge request, but the main request should not be able to close until all the merged conversations are closed. When creating the primary request perhaps this feature can be specified with a logical toggle check mark, indicating all conversations will have to be completed before it can be closed? Thank you. Is there a query or other rerport function I can creat that will allow a view of each user as the main index and below show what workstation(s) and asset(s) have been assigned per user?
Linux CPU Monitor Doesn't Work
I'm running net-snmp on my linux server and all the stats are comming in great, however CPU monitoring refuse to work. It returns 0% even though top shows 20% for cpu usage.

New Feature Request
It would be very helpful if there was a way to view who is logged onto opmanager at a gven time. Just so if there is matinace require on the OPmanger database, we could see the users, either username or ip address and notify them only.
Adding Devices to a Group
Hi , I am having an issue that when i create a group in DE i do not see any of my devices listed under step 2 Associate devices either option does not produce a list. Any ideas? Regards

can someone plesae tell me why since upgrading we have now lost the abiltiy to click on items in the report, this was really useful to us, and now no longer have it, also when running a custom report on assets i only seem to be able to run the report in some sort of graph why am i not able to run the report and and view it with colums,

technicians as requesters? also no AD authentication for tec
I have 2 questions, we've just bought servicedesk after trialling it, and we have a few problems 1. why can't technicians still be listed as requesters? Technicians may also have times when they need to raise a job as themselves 2. I've enabled AD authentication and can login as a requester fine, but technicians can't login using AD unless I set them a local username and password.
Customizing the request form
i'd like to remove a field from the request form and add a few, is this possible? i'd like to remove the LEVEL field and ADD LOCATION and DEPARTMENT fields, i've specified these in the wizard so I ought to be able to just add them, shouldn't I?

IP Groups and device stats do not add up (5.5EA)
Hi, I am currently running version 5.5 EA and have the following problem. I have setup a number of IP Groups mostly containing single IP address which are then being used in the scheduled reports so we can do billing. I have been comparing the figures with our current billing system and all seems fine, but then I noticed that if I enter the interface which all this traffic is for and goto the destinations tab for the same time period as the IP group they show different figures. How can I run a report to list the users who have a particular unmanaged item of software on their computers? More generally where can I find an ERD of the database so that I can develop my own queries? Thanks John

Backplane utilization not showing up
I've got a few Catalyst 65xx and 55xx series switches in my environment and I'd like to get the backplane utilization out of it. I've setup OpManager 5.5 on a box and sucessfully added the device but the % backplane and CPU utilization don't show up, but the memory utilization does. Any ideas on how I can get it running? HP Deskjet 612 printer installed, doesn't print
I installed my printer HP 612C w/newest upgrade but won't print. Printer was hooked up to another PC and worked perfect for 2 years. What is my problem???
event history size
Hi, The event history is limited to 1000 rows. My router only sends snmp traps about the connections. It would be cool if I could somehow do the following: 1) increase the # of rows to 5000 2) have an sql statement to pull out the data so a log processor can scan for idr I think the file is DBObjects.conf in the conf directory. I increased everything from 1000 to 5000. But this didn't work. I must be missing another config file. Any ideas of which one it could be?
Wake On Lan not working
Anyone else having this issue? When I originally installed and tested the product, the wake on lan function worked wonderfully. We were able to select multiple systems and wake them without a hitch. However, now that we've purchased the product, I am unable to even get the page to generate the list properly so that I can select multiple systems to wake. Any fixes for this? We are running Windows Server 2003 (Standard) and have already applied SP2 to OpUtils 3.2. We are also using McAfee Enterprise
Problem with Device
Hello ! We are currently testing a free version of OpManager (Build number 6003) in your School to supervise our network. Test is done with a Windows 2003 Server, a management station with XP Pro, a 3Com SuperStack3 4226T Switch and a Cisco Catalyst 2950 Switch. But I have a problem when I add a device in the Admin page. I can add the device but I don't see the device when I click on his snapshot in the Home page. Runnung and startup config differes.
Hi. I've installed and have begun configuration process of DE. Everything is fine. However there is one problem. I have cisco router 2821. It has a certificate configured on it with following commands: crypto ca certificate chain <NAME> certificate ca ... After those statements goes a log hexadecimal sequence presenting the certificate itself. The problem is that cisco present this sequence only in running config and in startup config it shows only a pointer to some place in nvram, where it is located.
Dashboard View does not update
I am testing AD Manager at the moment. I deleted several computer account in my domain. But when I go to the Dashboard View of AD Manager, it still shows the same number of computers before the deletion. How can I refresh the Dashboard view? Thanks.
upgraded to Version : 5.5.0 now helpdesk crashes
Hi since we have upgraded to the latest version Version : 5.5.0 Build Number : 5501 we seem to have some issues when the helpdesk software auto refreshes. The only way to get back to the helpdesk is to crash out and log in again. I have atached the screen dump of the error can you help

Is there any way to customize the login screen. I would like to adjust it so that my users have no choice but to login to the domain that i specify. I would also like to have it not show the the administrator, guest username and password(default settings)

Show 25 per page
Is there any way after changing the SHOW 25 PER PAGE to keep that setting after updating an inventory item, after each update it will revert back to the first 25 inventoried items.

Is ther any way to set the 25 per page default to something other than 25. When changing an asset, it will always revert back to the first page. Bill
DCOM, options?
I have about 35%-40% of my workstations (2k and XP) that will not scan because of the dreaded DCOM issue. I have run through I think every option available (DCOM on all machines is set to Enable Dist., etc). Strange thing is that there seems to be no pattern why this has a problem. While one machine (mine for isntance) has unchanged settings and can be scanned (XP-SP2), others cannot. It seems that there is something missing here. But what is it. What else can be causing this error? I really want
URL Monitoring
Hi! I've noticed that OpManager sends Email Warnings for URL Monitoring with a different sender address. (noreply@adventnet.com) All my normal warnings have the sender address I have defined in the Email Profile. Installation problems with web server
During the installation (win XPP) a message appears "problems with the web server configuration". I click OK, and the installation proceeds. Later, cannot start web client, as support server is not running. What should we do?

Probe down not showing in the customer dashboard (MSP)
I wonder if it is a feature, or just a bug I had problem with communication with one probe. The alarm was detected and generated with category "probe". The problem is that this alarm was among other alarms. Since thre was no other alarm for that specfic probe, the first look at the dashboard (on the home page) was showing no error and it apperead as if everything was OK Suggestion 1 : add a column or some error indication in the dashboard to show probe status. Maybe mark the whole line as greyed

Hello, I've 2 NS25 firewall. Both firewalls are configured to point to 2 separate Syslog servers, a 3Cdaemon and ManageEngine FW Analyzer. However, the FW Analyzer is not able to display loggings from the NS25. Pls refer to attach screen capture. Unsupported logging format it seems. However, the 3Cdaemon is able to capture. The FW Analyzer is able to capture & display from my Sonicwall device. The syslog config on the NS25 seems pretty straight-forward. Pls advice. Thanks.
