Cannot unzip on Linux
Hi, my Database-Backup is greater than 4 GByte, so i cannot uncompress the image on a linux-Server (unzip / bzip/ pkzip stopps with an error message) Can you help me? hai i am using manageengine servicedesk plus when i try to import users from active directory its importing without any problems but with some users when they try to logon using domain username and pasword the errror message they are getting is invalid username and password but with some users i am able to login kindly help me

Technical Support - Application Manager
When I am Executing Programs from the Action(s) menu from Application Manager the program gives me this message. The Program exited with code 1. The action Tomcat (Start) has been successfully executed. But nothing happens when I run the program. This is a batch file that I would like to use to start tomcat. The batch file works fine with I just click on it to execute it. Also I am having problems running other batch files from Application Manager. I am able to execute other files so I know the process
4400 Stack
Testing out the demo and it appears that my 4400 (3com) switches that are stacked can not be backed up.I had success with other 4400's same version only difference was the stack. Doing a cred test my switch was waiting for a unit to be identified before a "sys back" command. Any way I can alter this in a config file somewhere to correct this for these units ? For instance, the software allows you to set the operational hours for the company providing the support, but how can I set operational hours for my customers? An example is a bank, which would only have certain opening hours, and the times applied to the SLAs should only be calculated while the bank is open and allows access to the technicians. Hi, i'm searching for a complete ticket and contract software management. I need a ticket request/management and also a contract management that help me keep tracks all my customer requests of assistance and also to manage the contract that i have with them (contract by hours of work, or contract by number of incidents, costs, ...). I love SupportCenter (it is perfect for me to manage the incidents and ticketing) but it doesn't manage the contract feature... do you plan to implement in the near future

I know several have requested additional information about the release date of the update. As a customer who has purchased the product, I do not think it is unreasonable to get a new delivery date. Display Maps on Plasma Screen
I would like to display the maps created using Business Views on a Plasma display. However, I would like to be able to do this without displaying all of the menus etc. at the same time. All I want to be able to see is the map with no other information around it. Is this possible? Regards, David
OpManager 6, scheduled reports feature
I love the new scheduled reports feature, and all the cosmetic changes and bug fixes. However, what I really would like now is the ability to run the custom reports for each of my devices on a schedule. I'd like to dump reports for a large number of my servers that consist of CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, Disk Utilization, Network traffic/utilization. You cannot do this with the current scheduled reports option. Also, is it possible to get an eval for both MSExchange and MSSQL monitoring?

We've noticed that we can't always merge requests. We're always able to merge new requests to any other requests, but we're usually not able to merge long-term requests to other requests. I'm not sure if the feature is disabled after the new request has been active for a certain period of time, or if it has to do with the length of the conversation queue on the new request, but the reason doesn't really matter... it seems like we should be able to merge the requests either way. Hi! Since two days i monitor a HPUX server and now i have ascertained that the user sessions witch application monitor will ask some values are still open. Now we have 286 open sessions! I am having problems with the Alert Profile Management. It does not seem to generate any alarms or send email when the traffic utilization exceeds the threshold. for example I have an alert profile that should generate an alarm if the link is 45% utilized 5 times in 5 minutes. "Save and Close" button missing - Techs can't clos
Hello, We just did the hotfix to version 5501 on Service Desk Plus and now technicians are no longer able to close tickets. Only techs with admin rights can. Is there a way to fix this or remove this hotfix. I do not want to give the techs admin rights and they need to be able to close tickets. The problem happens when a tech goes to "actions" "Enter Resolution", on the resolution page the "Save and Close" button is missing. thank you,

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to tell to one host to ignore some traps that we don't care? Is it possible to do via the configuration files? I know that we can disable some traps but they will be stored in Unsolicited traps. In fact, I would like to ignore them in such a way that they are not recorded in the database... Get OPManger to discover Fortigate 300A
Our OPManger has discovered our Fortigate 300A firewall, but it believes it is a router. I can change this so it shows up as a firewall and I can change the device type to Fortigate 300 (since 300a isn't in the list). 1) Is there a way to get OPManger to correctly recognize it as a Firewall if I were to delete the device? 2) Is there a way to get the Fortigate 300a in the device type list? 3) And I see that it pulled in the interfaces on this device, but for one of the devices it shows it as IF-xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Aquiring Workstation inventory issue
Hi, I�m trying the SD pro 5.5 and i�ve noticed an issue when aquiring the desktop inventory. Well its like this I�m in a domain introduce the credentials to query the machines in the domain and its working fine, were i�m seeing the status of how many machines have been aquired, but after a while the popup where i�m receiving the status of this operation says. "page not found error 404...." if there were some sort of a timeout. I would like to know how can i fix this? Then i�ve checeked the machines

Scan Error
Hi there ! Please help me with this... The network scan does not show all the machines in the network of 1500 machine only two of them are shown i can manually add device by giving there ip address but rescanning the network also dont work ! The ip addresses are : 10.1.40.* 10.1.11.* and so on... I tried to add all of them but still why is the network scan not happening ! From my experience on other sites i have seen that after giving the network address, immediately the network icon of the machine

hi, We have currently setting up netflow to monitor our frame-relay network traffic utilization between our main office and remote offices, (Cisco 3600) primary router is configured with MLFR, also these router is primary gateway for VOiP, we are monitoring our routers and switches through cisco works, we are not able to get exact utilization report for frame-relay, Please advise us for setup to effectively test netflow before making purchasing decision. thanks
Preventing Purchase Orders from entering inventory
Hello! I am trying to configure Servicedesk to handle tracking my IT Departments purchase orders, but I've run into a small snag. Most of what we order is expendeble materials (i.e. toner cartridges) that I'd prefer not become part of the inventory, as it will rapidly get cluttered. Is there a way to designate a product type or category that should not be entered into the inventory when the SO is received?

I couldn't find anyplace else to post this, so here it goes. Can the search function please be improved so we can select which discussion group to search within? Unfortunatly, if I have an inventory problem, and search for the word inventory, I get back responses that apply to 3 or 4 different products. Is there any other way to trick the search engine into just showing us the results for SD+ ??

Live Report not quite right
We love the software, it works great. However, we are getting mixed results with the Live Report. It shows current traffic just fine, but historical is not so good. The week and monthly data stops recording all of a sudden. The data is coming in, It is reported in all other reports and screens. Just the historical data disappears. Some times it will start up again, and then stop reporting. Any ideas?
