opmanager - no webserver connection shutting down
Hi. I see this has been discussed a number of times here, however nothing seems to actually fix the issue in my case. I am attempting to run opmanager-msp under Debian linux. After installation, running ./StartOpManagerServer.sh "Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager." occurrs. As per the troubleshooting, I have ensured that the correct libraries are installed, and running ./StartWebSvr.sh gives me: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

I would really like the option to add a URL monitor to a Business View. For my purpose, it would give me a top level view of the availability of an application. I already have the servers, mainframe, switches, routers, etc. that are in use in making the application available. The infrastructure-based URL monitors would complete the business view. Thank you

Monitoring variable out of range
I have a problem that if any of my vars are not defined on a managed device, OpManager begins to poll other vars much slower (it almost stops). How can I fix such situation and send a notification?
Data size
File C:\AdventNet\ME\EventLog\mysql\data\ibdata1 is almost 18GB. Folder C:\AdventNet\ME\EventLog\mysql\data\eventlog is almost 12GB The archive folder C:\AdventNet\ME\EventLog\archive is 250MB. I've configured the system to store only 30 days of data so I can do monthly reports. Is there anyway to shrink the database size and eventlog log directory size? Thanks.
Hardware specifications
Hi Guys, I am wondering if there is a way in Opmanager to get a Hardware/Software specification report for specific devices? This report would give me in detail, the # hard drives, RAM and processors in a specific device. I would like to do an inventory of the servers and hopefully this feature is available in Opmanager. cisco pix firewall and ssh cipher
Hi I just downloaded device expert today. I'm trying to connect to a pix firewall but not having much luck. The problem is that I can't specify which cipher to use. On linux I can enter ssh -c des [fw ip]. Buton the wizrd it doesn't allow me to enter in a cipher. My question is how can I do this? If it isn't supported do you when it will be? Thanks Dan
Can't Add item to Business View
for some reason I can't add a device to a business in Java. I enter properties. select and move the device over to the right pane but when I press ok it does not show up in the view. There are 15 devices in the view but I only see four in the propities right pane.

Request for New feature for SDP
Hi: I'd really like if you could make differente types of clients. Let me explain myself: If I am the supervisor of a department, i.e. accounting, I'd like to log on to SDP and see all the requests done in my apartment for users under my charge, as my secretaries, junior accountants, etc, so I can see if any user is asking for a lot of support, or maybe it could happen I am not using support at all!!! Ideally, I could even see a list with all the assets that are at the department I'm in charge of.

How can i stop alarms for "Administratively down"
Hi, I am using free version of Opmanager from last 02 months (for testing this software). I just want to know that if I make any interface of switch �Administratively down� for specific period of time then how I can stop alarms for that interface for that specific period. Request Inbound table on main global page
Just wondering how the dates are worked out on the "Requests inbound graph I would have thought that they would have been from monday to friday but when I choose the link for instance and have a look at request for this month I have week 3 as having 2 requests and last week as having 38 If I click on this week it shows 32 requests I would have thought that the week and month would be calculated on what settings you put in operational hours and go from the 1st to the 31 for the month stats I use this
Keyword search for solution not working properly
I was informed by our technicians that we have a soloution of a problem that does not show when searching for this solution using keyword search and the title heading is showing the keyword being searched and the keywords themselves are also entered in as the keyword being used to search for. However there is another keyword that is showing the solution but not the keyword the techs would normally use.

Hello, Here's a scenario. I have 2 email addresses. support@respece.com and help@respece.com. The Support address is a mailbox, and the Help address is a simple forward to Support. Within SD, I have the option to assign requests to a specific technician or group based on what appears in the TO field. So far, everything is perfect. The issue I'm having is when the system or technician replies to the original requestor, I am only able to have 1 Reply-To address in the Outgoing Mail Server Settings.

Application manager no executing scripts?
I have uploaded a perl script that i have made and application manager does not even seem to be trying to execute the script when the error condition is met. i know the script works as i have it running on OpManager and it works perfectly. Any Ideas? Also, this script sends TRAPS from OpManager to our trapserver .

reports - additional fields
Can we filter/display request reports with the fields Group and the request description? We assign tickets to groups. I want to build a report so that our tech manager can print out all the tickets (with locations and request description) then give each tech a pile of paper tickets which he can take out in the field. In a lot of cases, the tech doesn't have easy access to the SD server to check in with the web interface.

Yes yes I know, beta, but has anyone tried it? I can't get the engine to stay started. The only error I have seen was something about the setting in the services logon that allows the service to interact with the desktop. The first error I saw says that was not allowed but I can't find the group policy that allows it. So I tried turning it off and the engine still quits.
Global View for Technicians with Admin Roles
I currently have a Technician with Admin role setup on our system that cannot view all of the technicians on his team which are located within different groups on SD+ but do not have the "Admin" role. Is there a way for him to view them because currently he can only view other Technicians with Admin roles as well?

How to show monitors that aren\'t assigned to groups
Is there a way to show monitors that we've created that haven't yet been assigned to any group? We've added so many monitors, we think we've forgotten to assign a few to the appropriate groups that we created. rgranard
Live Report not quite right
We love the software, it works great. However, we are getting mixed results with the Live Report. It shows current traffic just fine, but historical is not so good. The week and monthly data stops recording all of a sudden. The data is coming in, It is reported in all other reports and screens. Just the historical data disappears. Some times it will start up again, and then stop reporting. Any ideas?
All Server Disk Usage Report
The All Servers Disk Usage Report also shows results for desktops, not just servers. I think it is reporting any device that has Free Disk Space and Used Disk Space resource monitors enabled. It would be good if there were separate reports for desktops and servers.
Opening a ServiceDesk Ticke with OpManager Premium 6.0-6003
When I try to create a Log a Ticket Notification Profile, the Exchange and SQL Application Monitor selections are not present. How can I open a ServiceDesk plus helpdesk ticket with OpManager 6.0 Premium build 6003 when one of the Exchange features is in a failure state? Thank you. -Eric.

Memory usage increasing too much
Hi. A technician in our company is experiencing a strange fact: with servicedesk 5.5 Bulit 5501, he leaves open the "pending requests" page all day with a refresh of 1 minute. The process "iexplore" grows of 3/4 megs every refresh and, due to that, after many refreshes, it causes a request of windows to increase the paging size. I made some trials myself, and, refreshing several times that page, it causes a grown of my iexplore.exe process size - too much for my knowledge... Someone who could provide
