Making fields mandatory
I added some field in "Requester - Additional Fields" I'd like to know how/if I can make those filed mandatory. Also how can I remove "built in" fields? Thanks,
Logs archived but cannot load
Dear Support I have enabled the log archiving in the fw analzer. But in the file archived it doed not show me " load " button to load in database instead it aonly shows me delete. secondly I have confirured the Netscreen firewall 208 to export logs to mange engine FW analyser and syslog server. On the syslog server a days file size is almost 3 GB where as in fw analyser it is just of 220 - 250 MB. I see something fishy in the log generation by the fw analyzer. Pls guide. Regards
Scrolling Ticker Tape for Alerts!!!
Hi, I think i may have posed this request before, it would invaluable to have a little java desktop scrolling ticker tape, that would display the current alarms in OPmanager. Instead of have to check mail notifications or the opman web page, this little scrolling ticker tape would run at the bottom of your screen and you could see any new alerts as they happen. Availability percentage of a monitor group in Reports doesn\
When I create a report for the availability of a monitor group for "This Month", "Last 30 Days", etc., I get a 99.9x% number, which is correct. The individual monitors listed in the group within the report all show as 100% for that period. The only way to get the availability percentage shown for the individual monitors to correctly reflect what the group availability shows is to generate a "Quarterly" report. Then the individual monitors that truly had less than 100% correctly show the actual availability.

Evenlog Analyzer - SYSLOG Server
I installed Eventlog Analyzer in order to test it before promoting it to our clients, but unfortunetly i could manage to make it work with UNIX Hosts, I configured them as specified, tested the syslogd server in debugging mode, it gets the results and forward them tu the eventlog analyzer host but there i don't see anything! Any suggestion ? (PS. i'm using thre free edition)

How secure is AppManager's database?
Hi Community I would like to know how secure AppManager database is. As I understand that I have to key in admin id/password to do WMI-based monitoring. Also aware that admin id/password are encrypted before saved in the database. The question is how strong is the encryption and what method AppManager is using to keep it safe. Removing an application monitor
I want to remove the Exchange 2003 application monitor. I cant remove it or tell OpManager where the location of my Information Stores are.
Product list isn't available when a contact is entered
When filling out a new request, if I enter a Contact, my Product List is empty (without a Contact entered, the Product list is fully populated). This problem first occured when I applied Build 5031. I upgraded today to Build 5032, but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Robert
Question re creating a solution
Hi So that we do not have our FAQ's in more than one location, I want to just link from solutions in SC+ to FAQ pages on our website. We would like the link in the SC+ solution to open the FAQ in a new page. The only way of creating a link in the body of a solution seems to be to use the link button which means we cannot open as a new page automatically. It is a pity that the solutions page is not a HTML editor rather than just text with some formatting. Is there any way I can get a link in the format:

Report not generating....Critical
Hai , We have been testing and analysing the Firewall Log Analyzer for the last one week.We have found out the following problems in this tool.. 1. I have set the file creation interval and archiving with the default values.But I have found that archiving is not happending automatically. Hi, I have just installed MeEngine Event Anaylze to collect and analyse the logs of several hosts and it's working fine. I got a problem with the generated reports. In my company it's a special situation, because there is a other Location who shares the Internet with us. But because of security problems its not allowed to install Netflow on their router! So i installed it on our and watch the outgoing http traffic. NBAR reports
Hi, not sure what happened I have lost all the NBAR stats on all interfaces on different routers. I have not changed any of the routers configs or NF 5.5 EA settings. The nbar icon still shows next to the interface and the polling is enabled. Thanks Ramzi

Opmanager CPU Utilization % always the same status
Hello, when i enable the CPU Utilization % for a server, i get always the same status. If i examine the Cpu Load on the machine i get the correct status. I use SNMP to monitor the CPU Utilization. If I use SSH i get the status -1. The server is a multi prozessor machine with 2 oder 4 Cpu's. Where is the failure ?
Problem with "Contact auto-addition configuration"
Hi, In "settings" I have a problem with "Contact auto-addition configuration". I set the check box to when a new request arrives from an unknown contact, the system do not log the request, but when a new request is being created in this conditions, the SC+ show the message "Contact Name does not exist. Custom Link Speed
I've been researching an issue for quite some time now, and hopefully someone here can help me out. I monitor firewalls on our network that have a WAN port speed set at either 10 or 100 MB, however the actual link speed is 768k. The utilization report never shows accurate %'s because 50k of 100mb is too small. Has anyone created customer monitors and/or graphs to display stuff like this correctly? I'd love to here how if so.
serious issues with reports
The reports module of SD+ is seriously letting down the product. Before I list the issues I am experiencing with this part of the product is there any intention of replacing the current reporting facility in the next release? I have some many problems (more since applying the latest patchset) that i do not want to waste my time listing them if they are likely to disappear in the next few weeks. Addition Field - Character Limit?
I have created a mulit-line additional field under assets that I had planned on storing multi-line product keys, but there seems to be a character limit as to the length of string it will accept. Is this correct? I am not able to store some of my product keys in this multi-line field because it gets cut off after X number of characters.

Hi All, It is a great product for sure however before I will buy a copy I wanted to know if someone can get me an idea when the following features will be added or familiar options. We use the netflow analyzer to decide our peerings and peering policy, therefore the following options would be really usefull. We let 4 routers report to one netflow server, we get about a million packets in netflow analyzer per day which results in about 25000 ASNs in the asn view page, kinda hard to find the big ones

I configured netflow for Cisco 7609 router but some how its not exporting flows . It has SuperviserEngine720 with sub-modules PFC3 and MSFC3 Daughter card. Could you please tell me whether this configuration will be for PFC or MSFC NDE ?Also, the command " Ip route-cache flow " is not supported on interface Gig level. Link from SD+ to OpMgr not working
Hi, We're running SD+ and OpMgr on the same machine. SD+ is installed on port80. OpMgr is on port8080. The link from OpMgr to SD+ works fine including asset reports etc, etc 'cos we are able to configure port,user,pwd for SD+ in OpMgr. Connection tests OK. But when we click on the link in SD+ to switch to OpMgr we get an error 'cos it's trying to access http:\\<machine name>:null instead of http:\\<machine name>:8080 Please can you tell me how we can configure the port that SD+ tries to connect to

snmp traps
Hi, Most of the bugs I reported ages ago did not seem to be fixed in the service pack. 1- I reported way back that Opmanager does not recognize a trap if the source IP is a vlan interface IP other than the device IP configured in Opmanager. 2- when I rediscover a device the display name is reverted back to it's DNS name. That's not a problem but can I at least trim the domain suffix and just keep the hostname. What we realy need is a service pack that fixes all bugs in version 6 and then then worry
