two questions
Hi, I have demo copy of your product, and I have two questions. The first one is regarding reporting. The next question is regarding connecting from the event server to client server for monitoring. Question 1 - When I try and pull reports for the previous days, I receive the report for that day. for some reason I can not pull reports for the days prior. Question 2 - I have noticed that I can connect to some servers on the same subnet or remote subnet, but not all. I have verified that the firewall

after upgrade opmanager 6011 to 7 using migration pack, and running webclient,and login admin/admin there is a mistake on page /jsp/Login.do Error ! ------------ What to do ? user name and password not wrong

Dial-in change for users
Testing the AD-Manager-Plus (4.1.1) , I tried to change the Dial-in option. It can be viewed by: AD-reports=>User reports=>Dial-in Allow Access or AD-reports=>User reports=>Dial-in Allow Deny But I cannot find a way to change it... Can this be done within AD-Manager-plus?

OpManaget v7 dashboard
Is there a way to make the dashboard to behave like the v6? If not, is there a way for the infrastructure views and business views to auto adjust whenever a category/view is added. This way, we need to monitor only the home(dashboard) itself and see problems easier. Thanks

not updating
I have been using ad manager plus for a bit now. From one of the lists, I have disabled some users that were no longer with my organization, however they still show up as enabled in ad manager. I waited for over a week to see if it would auto update/refresh and it never did. I tried to force a refresh/update, but the data is still not updating. Am I missing something?
Active Device (server) reported as Unavailable in home page?
I have serveral servers that are working fine and fully available but in the reporting they show as down. I can find no explanation for this. On the device snapshot everything appears ok apart from the availability graph. I have tried rediscovery but with no effect? Please help. Regards Mark

Hi all, I installed OpManage to test it and I checked that is a Windows server has the system drive remapped, OpManage cannot monitor its disk quota. All others parameters work correctly. Do someone experience this problem too? Thanks in advance.

"Functions" in monitored values
Hi, I'm using OpManager 7 and I need to make a "function" monitor with multiple OID, however in the Web Interface I can only select an OID i have in the loaded MIBs. The monitor I need is a % of used memory in an Adtran Switch, I have only 2 mib to find this, wich are Free Heap Memory, and Heap Memory Size. So I need to do something like (HMS-FHM)/HMS * 100. I have all the OID needed to do this but I don't know where I must put the info. I searched where were the OIDs for the custom monitors I created,

I can see the missed poll alarms but I want to send an automatic email to the support desk, do I have to create a new notification or can I configure it directly? Regards Mark
OPM7 Monitoring is Sporadic
Hi, Am using OpManager 7 with the latest 7010 version with a MS SQL backend database, and I am unable to maintain continual monitoring of the systems. It is sporadic, but on average every 24 hours 1-2 hours will report as being unmonitored. The OPM7 is running from a virtual server, but there is no capacity issues with the VM side of things, so I am unsure what the problem could be. Any assistance in the matter would be appreciated. F5 BigIP LTM anyone ever succeed using SNMP?
Hi, Spent all day (Saturday!) trying to monitor a LTM. I have OIDs from my other graphing tool that works. E.g. Current connections to a virtual server. I can not browse or add as a custom monitor. System name is readable. So its not something silly! I have read its the F5 implementation of SNMP. But I know of plenty of free tools that can walk the mib and read the OIDs. I can monitor every other device I have. Bigip is the missing link and I buy OPmanager/SQL reports next week. Scraping current
Problems with manually adding Workstations
I get this error message while trying to add new workstations: FAILURE :Application exception while adding workstation. : The workstation is already discovered. Please report the problem to the system administrator, with the Error Code - 1 188 289 060 502. But when i search for the name of the workstation i can't find it.

Getting NetFlow Analyer to pass data through a firewall.

Garbled Config Files Corrupting Server Installation
:x I tried changing the port number on which the service listens on and now the program server will not start again. This is getting really old. If I edit or make any changes to the config files with ANY editor (even if just saving the file in notepad) the program breaks. The most of the config files are so garbled I think that when one of the editors saved the file (making the file legible), the program can no longer read it. See attachment... If I open this file in WORDpad the formatting is ok.
asset history change request details ?
Just playing with the version 7 demo site. I created a change request with a task to apply a change to a router, a device that was listed in the asset database. closed the task, then the change. I then went to the history tab of the router under assets and there is no mention of the change request or the task number associated to that change request ? I would have thought this would be expected as part of the ITIL offering ? Thanks Michael.
HotFix 6012 - AD not importing Names correctly
We have recently upgraded to service pack 6012 and now the AD import is not working correctly. When the import is run, the user names are showing in the Names field and they are bot the same now. I attempted to uninstall the service pack and received a Uninstall is not supported error. Any Ideas?

Active Directory Pass Through Authentication
Can someone please clarify something for me? When "Enable Active Directory Authentication" and "Enable Pass-through Authentication" options are set.... are users still supposed to get prompted for a username and password or is SD supposed to use the credentials they logged on with? My users are being prompted for their AD credentials when they try to access the SD site. Thanks!

I'm using service desk plus version: 6.0.0 Build Number : 6012 and i need SLA reports.After I try to use reports you describe and every returns error messages. I have windows 2003 R2 SP2 and microsoft SQL Server 2000. I saw in your query lines that if it'd been use for lixux system and I tried to change that used format to mssql, and it doesn't work anyways. Could someone help me with this? Thanks,

Messages sent from MSOutlook received by SD with correct body except attachments incapsulated in winmail.dat Workaround is to use external TNEF decoder. Where is the problem - in SD or mail server ? Outlook opens same messages normally....
Multiple requests
Multiple requests are getting generated when Requester clicks Add Request. It takes a very long time and at the end it generates 3 or more requests. Also when a technician makes some updates it takes a very long time (but it doesen't create new requests. I made an auodate from 6011 to 6012 and have still the same problem. Any clue? Mike
Report Business View Filter not working
We have set up some business views and when we try a view the all device availability for that business view in reports it reports back all the managed devices that are currently monitored. Is this a bug? We also tried to set teh business view in custom reports but can only get devices. Regards Mark
netflow server data drive full
I am monitoring 100 interfaces and my netflow server out of space, The server details are; Intel Xeon CPU 3.20GHz, 3.50 GB Ram, Microsoft Windows Server 2003. the total space in C: drive is 273 GB sis, filled with 251 GB of ibdata1 file. my question is how can I unload these data's to make room. Cant delete custom report
I created a custom report, but I'd like to delete it.
