Removing the port number from the remote URL
Hey everyone. I am migrating ServiceDesk from a Virtual Machine server to a dedicated server. Everything is going great, except for now in order to access the program from the web browser, I have to place our proxy port number in it i.e. "http://helpdesk:8080/". Previously we were able to access it just by "http://helpdesk/". What's the process to change this back? Servicedesk version 7 build 7001.

Monitoring distributed networks
My company services a number of servers for various customers, and would like to do the monitoring from our own server. Since this will require a setup of routers and firewalls, I am aware that it's not easy, but I have been spending the better part of a week trying to get it to work, and still to no avail. I can not URL-Monitor add. At press Ok or CheckNow nothing happens and Internet Explorer displays a message (see attachment). Restrict view on requests
Hi, I like to know if it is possible to have technicians in an group. and that they can only see the request of their own group. end nothing else. We have a group of users who wants to make use of SD functionality. But we, ICT, don't want to see their request. and they don't need to see our requests. Does anybody know an answer? regards, Jeroen
login reporting/alerting not working correcly for aix
I have recently installed this app in its trial mode However the top users report does not appear to work shows one row 'arded' only (a non existant user) with a number against it (probably the total) but cannot drill into the actual data - comes up empty - is there a way to fix this. Also the perdefined alert for failed logins doesnt work for aix unless you change the severity from notice to information. It would be better if the occurences criteria for alerts were per userid too Regards Rebekah
Reducing the tomcat response time
We are monitoring tomcat and often we get very high response times. It is checking it on the localhost (127.0.0.1) which seems like it should never return very high response times. Any thoughts on what can be done to reduce the response time of tomcat.
Do not quite understand it problem
Hi All We are trying to demo FW Analyzer to a client with a Juniper SSG-140 , now we have multiple clients on the program with junipers and sonicwalls but with this one juniper this is what happens: FW analyzer is showing the firewall on the home page on fw analyzer , on packet count it shows 13234 recieved there is no unparsed records , i found on a prevoius place on the forum how to do the packetcapture and the server is recieving packets from the firewall. Custom Report - Response Times
Hi All, Basically we need to be able to get a custom report on all our devices in the Infrastructure View "Wireless", there are a number of devices in there and all have response times being logged. Extreme networks alpine switch, not getting outbound trafic
Hello I�m running demo version Netflow analyzer 6.1 collecting sflow data from Extreme networks Alpine switches. Analyzer only shows me the inbound not the outbound traffic of any interface. Tried to put in 1, 2� 10 and all interfaces... But it was all the same. Configured ports and sflow several times but without results.. I'we seen lot's of posts with same problems not geting output on ports. Each and every time youve suggested to have flow export on all ports. Since i'we enabled sflow on all ports on switch and geting same result, question is what to do.. I tryed on several diferent switches with same results.. If you could good enough to specify exact sflow configuration on extreme xos or extremeware switches...
Assign "Problems" to groups
Our 1st line group handle all "requests". 2nd or 3rd line groups deal with "problems" and "changes". The s/w does not allow a tech to assign problems to a 2nd/3rd line group but forces them to choose a single technician. For a medium-large organisation using this s/w, this seems like a glaring omission. How is each tech expected to know which tech to assign a problem to? Consequently, one cannot filter problems by group, so the ability to effectively monitor each groups workload is greatly reduced.
Windows Script Host Error
I have install the latest version of ELA on a server running Windows Server 2000. Memory installed is 768MB with 80GB HDD. This setup is for evaluation of 5 hosts to see the stability and ease of administration. OK now the issue i have is that the amount of physical memory is never enough. Its being consume mostly be java.exe, sysevtcol.exe and mysqld-nt.exe. Now my evaluation server is so slow i cannot even login. I also been getting a Windows Script Host error provided here. IP group traffic double counting
Hi, I am trying NFA version 6. I have a site and a central location. Both routers, at the site and the centre are reporting to the NFA. When I look at the IP group for the site, I can see double of traffic. The graphs of the routers' interfaces are showing normal status. For example, I have 1 MB link between the centre and the site. It is fully utilized by sending data from centre to the site. Outgoing interface on centre shows 1MB speed; inbound interface on the site shows 1 MB speed. The IP group
Macro Solutions
In a previous system we were able to enter a solution by entering a solution keyword. For example, we'd tyoe "Printer" and the solution would automatically be copied into the resolution. I think this would be a great idea for Support Centre.
DNS / NSLookup Server tables
Can you please add/include a tool which will allow the users to add to the DNS lookup tables to include local servers as well as external sources such a RIPE, ARIN, etc. We have a spread of incoming traffic over MPLS and what to add the local country DNS and also global DNS resolution so we can get the complete picture in one go. Hi all, I have a setup running with OpManager 7010 and some devices. Now a question rises up: Scenario given: Internet cloud - Router - Server behind Router The Server is configured to send an alarm, if poll is missed 3 times. Also the dependency lies on the Router. Edit Technician Task Error
Hi We have a technician account set up with an assigned role which has permissions set for full control over requests assingened to all in group or him and full control over reports. The technicians in this group can create tasks for themselves but cannot edit the tasks. When they try to an error occurs, which is attached. Locked out of Servicedesk
I seem to have locked myself out of service desk completely. I was importing requesters from Active directory and unchecked both tickboxes while doing it. I logged out of the system and now I cannot get back in again. I don't get the log on to domain option. ANybody got any ideas?

Fontsize adjustable with local browser settings.
Font size should be adjustable with the local browser settings. Now it is hard coded into the application. When a customer sends an email with very small font size it gets even smaller in SC+. Some control over this phenomenon would be appreciated.

mail fetching and attachments
Hello, When a user sends an email through the helpdesk using Outlook 2000 the attachement doesn't get fetched by ServiceDesk. When sending using Outlook express the attachment gets picked up fine. Any ideas? We are using ServiceDesk Plus 6014 The helpdesk account is setup as POP3 on Exchange Thanks
Phone number in automatic notifications
All, Here is a challenge. We would like to include a phone number in the contact information we provide at the bottom of the request creation/closure notifications. Version 5007: Additional Licenses, Support
I'm still waiting to hear back from support regarding our failed upgrade to version 6 and have considered the possibility that we may have to stay on version 5007 for as long as we use the product. If we do stay on 5007, can we still get support for it? Would we still be able to purchase licenses for it? Will there be additions made to the product at that version?
