An update to Version 7.0 ( Build Version 7008 )

Hi All,

Build Version 7008 has been released.

Users using build version 7000 - 7007 can download the Service Pack to migrate to Version 7008. The Service Pack is available @ http://archives.adventnet.com/service-desk/sdp_7008/AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-0_8_0.ppm

Features included in this Service Pack :

- In Request Resolution image can be included.
- Overdue status is displayed in request list view
- Subcategory and Item is available in list view column chooser
- Showing overdue requests count by graph along with Inbound,Completed requests in GlobalView

Issues fixed

1. Due date was not getting set properly when request status changed from onhold to open is fixed
2. Technician with out credentials was able to edit the requester information in request details page is fixed.
3. Stop timer option not displayed in Request Action menu when status is open is fixed
4. Unable to add UDF fields for Problem and Change using non English characters is fixed
5. Replying to a Request conversation the immediate parent subject is not getting set in the Notify window is fixed
6. In Request, if an Attachment file name had space then the space was getting replaced to '+' sign is fixed.
7. Requester search does not search for login name is fixed.
8. Editing the backup schedule task the date value is set as null is fixed
9. $TicketOwner option was missing in the SLA is fixed
10. In Change, Calendar values are displayed as junk for non English characters is fixed.
11. Attachment comments in Change-> Planning becomes Junk for non English characters is fixed
12. Approval comments in Change becomes Junk for non English characters is fixed
13. In Asset, after creating a new group the details page displayed blank blocks is fixed.
14. Requester Search window does not get closed after selecting a requester is fixed
15. Single Sign-on account locks-out issue has been resolved.


Instructions to apply this Service Pack :

1. Shut down ServiceDesk Plus Server.
2. Run the script UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
3. Click "Browse" to select the Service Pack file (AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_<Version No>_0_0_SP-x_0.ppm file that you had downloaded) and then click "Install...".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service Pack / Hotfix.
5. Once the upgrade is complete, start ServiceDesk Plus Server.
