VoIP Monitoring Question
Hi, Setting up a VoIP monitor between two Cisco Routers on our WAN. Routers are Csico 7301 12.4 IOS. After setting up a Monitor ( SNMP Write Enabled on Main Router and IP SLA Monitor responder set on Destiniation) The Log file shows this message : Unable to configure Voip threshold traps,so OpManager won't generate any alerts for this monitor. Reason:MIB in the source device may be of older version. Can you advise what this refers to. Cheers.
Configure Alerts Problem
When using the configure alerts screen, we cannot associate an attribute/alert with a monitor. Using the 'Associate', we choose the monitor(s) from the provided list to associate, click SAVE and get a message saying 'Successfully Configured Alerts'. However, nothing changes. Is this a defect?
High cost for change management!!!
Hi We have been using servicedesk for a few years now and wish to use the change management module to save on the amount of paperwork we do for change control and approval. I recently requested a price to upgrade to enterprise as the change management is only available in this version and was shocked with the cost. We have a 20 technician and extra 500 device license but to upgrade to the enterprise version it will cost us an additional �7000+. Can the servicedesk team or customer services manager
Un-Enrolled Users Report export error
when selecting to export PDF, CSV, XLS etc in un-enrolled users report. I get an error; "ie. cannot download report.do from localhost. ie. was not able to open this internet site. the request is either unavailable or cannot be found." Export to html is the only one that works. Other reports work. although I have not tried them all... I am accessing the admin config from the server and have hidden the logon as admin screen for all users. I am also using SSL.

When I pull routers in this..I get all the interfaces(even the null and signalling channels of bri)....... I want to deselect the interface that is not of use to me......
Change Password not working with SSO
I implemented ADSelfService last week with SSL and SSO. When internal/vpn users that get SSO try to change their password in the manage your account page, they receive an error "The specific error is Username/Password is wrong - Error Code : 8007052e". As far as I can tell; users coming in from outside, hitting the authentication screen are not affected. If I log out and sign back in manually It will work correctly.
Can't Add OU in "Locked Out Users" in Scheduler
Can't Add OU in "Locked Out Users" in Scheduler. logged on as admin, in the admin section under scheduler. I select the "Locked Out Users" in the drop-down. click on "add OU's and pick specific OU's in the picker and click ok. The OU's are not listed in the "Selected OU's". It still says "All OU".

Disk Utilization
I have searched the forums and knowledge base to resolve my issue but have not found any solutions. I am trying to implement Disk Utilization on my servers but it's not pulling the data. I have tried both the WMI and SNMP monitors but neither are working. I have check the credentials and verified I can talk via SNMP and WMI to the servers. I have spent the past week trying to get this, any help would be appreciated.

Roles regression under 7.5
Previously you could click the Edit button next to any built-in role and see the permissions it would give, however this is no longer possible. While I recall several of them from 7022, I don't know what rights are granted to SDCo-ordinator and therefore cannot allocate the role. Can anyone confirm what access this individual gains?
Surveys Sent
I can't seam to find a way to view how many surveys have been sent out, only Surveys completed. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. Also when I view Survey results under Admin, the rating is different to Satisfaction level. Not sure exacly what the rating measures
cannot login
after successful migration to sdp 7.5, none of our technicians can login. The third login text box which allows us to select local login or domain login is missing. As this default to none, this may be causing the login to fail. any suggestions?

Not able to do import from active directory
you select the domain, fill in all fields and click on import and nothing happens. The screen doesn't change, you get no error, nothing happens at all no matter how long you let it sit there.

Specific Update Path to go from 7017 to 7504?
After a really bad experience going from 7016 to 7017 (and a two day outtage), i will not take anymore chances with this software being upgraded directly to production. we are currently running version 7017 and would like to move to 7504. I was told, and would like confirmation in writing - that i need to do the following: take 7017 to 7022 take 7022 to 7500 finally take 7500 to 7504 can an advent net tech please confirm the best practices to make this happen? i will install it all on a test box

Exchange 2007
We recently updated to Exchange 2007 and now SD+ is not fetching mail...support told me that they are having issues with SD+ and Exchange 07...anyone else have this issue and figure out a work around? Using IMAP and it is enable on the Exchange server...receiving "Authentication failed given username and password." Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi, since upgrading to 7504 I'm unable to add or remove anything on the main screen in terms of adding / removing columns. Each column is also headed [Rendering Exception] - this is only so on the 'Asset - Additional Fields' the 'Workstation - Additional Fields' appear to be fine. Please could you help? Regards Neil

file attachments dont work
I am having this problem on SDP Version : 7.5.0 Build 7503 on linux. my file attachments don't show up in contracts or solutions observations. If i use a 9mb file it takes longer to attach so it is doing some type of uploading. When i look in: /root/AdventNet/ME/ServiceDesk/fileAttachments/Solutions/Jan2009/ there are folders created (i guess for each time files have attempted to be created) I have lost all file attachments which were attached after upgrade from 7.0 to 7.5 (all previous attachments
OpManager not discovering some Cisco devices properly
I'm having issues with Opmanager listed below: a) Discovers some Cisco devices as Desktops (eg. 3750 Switch, 2800 Router, 7200 Router, 6509 Switch). b) Does not graph switch/router CPU, backplane and memory usage properly for devices including ones identified as routers/switches. c) There is a mix of IOS's, ranging from IOS 12.2 to IOS 12.4. I have tested SNMP credentials to the devices and they work. I have added additional MIBs and performed a manual rediscovery of devices and they are still listed

High memory usage with OpManager and java.exe
I'm using OpManager v.7204 and java.exe is consistently using a very large of memory. What will happen, is after restarting OpManager, the memory usage on java.exe will start out low, as you would expect, then after approximately one week, it'll slowly increase, easily reaching 1.5GB of memory, and this on a server having 2GB total memory. We do have the monitoring intervals sat rather low, but we hate to increase this as OpManager's monitoring our production environment, which we need to respond
Object missing from Business View
Hi, I have a business view that contains my network devices. I have one device that does not appear on the view but I can mouse over the location where the device should be located and I see the popup and can click on it and jump to the device. Problem is I can't see the device at all in edit mode to remove it and modify the links to other devices. What is the fix for this? Thanks, Dan
The notification of Opmanager wrong!
I was try Opmanager V6. and 7. The alarm of Opmanager alway notification for any device whith message: "Device not responding: Probably down or busy " and then "Device Active and Responding " whith frequency equivalent of time. (image attach) while the device and network active nomarly. I don't know why! please help. Thanks
account lockout
hi i keep getting my domain account locked out due to some setting on opmanager server i have checked all areas in the admin section and cannot see where i have set authentication using my domain username and password Any ideas anyone? thanks
OpManager does not pick up SMS Modem after server reboot
Hi Every time our OpManager server is rebooted, it does not automatically pick up the SMS modem (mobile phone). The resolution is simple - I go into Admin > SMS Server Settings and just click OK again (with COM port 1 selected). However, this is extremely frustrating and I'd like to be able to force OpManager to "re-scan" the device automatically before it tells me the device is down. Is this possible? Regards, Craig.
Asset Scanning.
This is more of an open discussion as to how this feature works. If someone other than tech support has the answer by all means jump in. Here's the scenario Our live SD+ server is using Ver 7.0.15 - I scan an asset it and it works fine. everything populates. In our case we are only keeping track of Laptops and as it's the case once someone leaves that laptop gets redployed to a new user. Here's the weird thing. If i change the name of the asset in SD+ and try to scan again it fails saying it cannot

OpManager 8 Bug Reports
Installed OpManager 8 yesterday. Product looks nice so far. However, have found a few bugs: 1. In Internet Explorer 7, when deleting a large # of performance monitors, it will cause IE to open a blank page. Refreshing will usually fix this. This behavior does not occur in Firefox 3.x 2. Interface monitors seem to be intermittently having problems. Specifically, on various FastE and GigE interfaces on a Cisco 3550-48 switch it will "drop out". See attached screen shots. 3.
