How to monitor a Cisco ASA with 4 interfaces
My set up is as follows, Cisco ASA with 4 interfaces and Firewall Analizer V5 Interface details. Internal: 192.168.1.0 /16 DMZ 172.16.1.0/16 External: Public IP and a National ethernet link to our colo 192.168.2.0/16 I cant seem to get Firewall Analizer to report on the different traffic ie from my internal lan to my DMZ or colo Im sure I have probably set it up wrong, any advise would be gratefully recieved. I'm sure this has been raised before but the priorities are listed alphabetically and not logically. So, Priorities High, Medium & Low are listed as [ High, Low, Medmium]. This isn't logical.

Hey everyone. Unless someone else has discovered a way to do this: For our support team, we've managed a way to do invoicing report through SCP, where we can enter in the shipping amount and what the total cost should be, and then generate a report that gets emailed to the invoice department on a nightly basis. Currently, we are storing the dollar amounts in the normal string fields for the Request view. We did try making them numeric fields, but found out that SCP doesn't support decimal values
PMP causing high CPU utilization?

Firewall problems using Servicedesk for another pprt than 80
Hi! When i use another port than 80 for servicedesk through a firewa i have problems inside servicedesk. I tried 8080 and opened the firewall for 8080 and mapped NAT 8080 to servicedesk. It works fine to log on to Servicedesk but i am not able to perform specific issus, e g to assign a case to a technician or other stuff inside a case. Strange. It works fine if i use port 80. I need a custom script to extract all email history between technicians and users. I can extract emails sent from a technican to users, but not the other way around.
Compression rates question
Hi all, We've thinking of buying Event Log Analyser for a security conscious customer of ours. Does anyone know the following: 1) How good is the compression rate? We will be generating close to 150GB per week of Security Logs alone. 2) Is the data stored in a standard SQL or MySQL DB? We will need to backup data for historical purposes, however, this may well be over a slowish link (2MB), so compression of data at the source is again a factor. Thanks for any help, M.
there is no attachment in outgoing mail from SDP server after 7509 update
I have my custom report that by shedule task send to my e-mail every day. Since Iinstall 7509 update I get mail but without attachment (report in xls format). Request mail I get normal (in my request no attachment at all). I install ms office outlook on SDP server and configure SMTP on it. Save local my xls report. Create mail and attache xls. Send it. I get mail with attachment. This say that my mailserver (Exchange 2007) work fine.
Column Width - Solutions Page/Listing
The Solutions Document Listing (SolutionsHome.Do) only displays approximately the first 20 characters of the SUBJECT value. Even after I remove all other columns this column does not expand. Router down but no alarme triggered ?
Dear all, we use OpManager for 5 years, last week, I've totally re-install my server with release 8022, an discovery again all devices from a clean database, so most of parameters are default. Last night, we had a breakdown on a wan router, I can see in the response time of this router that it did not reply to ping request for the time it was down, but no alarm had been created !!!Do you know this kind of issue ? thank you, Christophe Christophe
Disallowing, or notifying end users of Remote Control
hello! We are very excited to see the remote capability built into 7.500! Thank you. However, as it stands now it is a security risk to allow all technicians to be able to remotely control all computers. In order to mitigate the risk of unauthorized desktop access via the Remote Control feature of release 7506, we would like to see a option that will require the the end user to consent and allow to desktop sharing. OR, we would like the option to not use the Remote Control feature. Thank you very

Force reboot after patch deploy
I am having an issue with getting the desktops to reboot after a patch configuration deployment. I set the configuration to run off-hours when the users are not logged in to their desktops. The patches install fine and the computers all start to shutdown. However, the shutdown hangs until somone breaks out of the screensaver (.i.e. moves the mouse or presses a key). Then, the computer continues to shutdown and reboot. This happens on all of my Windows XP desktops and Windows 2003 servers. I
Group E-mail ID Problem
I wanted to set the Group E-mail ID for one of my groups, but it refuses to save with a particular e-mail address. Here are fake/equivilant details to help explain... The e-mail address that I want to put in there is itsupp@lists.place.com When I try this one, I get the error message, " Group updation failed". When I try it with any other e-mail address in that field, it works just fine and gets saved. For example, I can use these and it works just fine... itsupp@place.com AnyOther@lists.place.com
Update Workstation name if it changes, remove old assets when they dont connect after x ammount of days
How does It keep track of machines when it scans the network. can it ask to update the workstation if the name changes, also update the users if they change. Machines get re purposed all the time and this should be part of the import script to update credentials just like it updates software. Also can it have a way to remove assets that no longer connect to the server in an x amount of says. optional to do it.
Impossible to add devices in 8021
I have made a fresh installation of opmanager and it seems quite impossible to add nodes. I keep getting the following error: Entries for the device are either partially added or removed.Click [here...] to remove and readd the device I have a ms sql database and have tried to follow the tips in http://support.opmanager.com/AddSolution.sd?solID=1808 but that doesn´t seem to work for me. Since moving to version 7.5 (~4-6 months ago) the active directory synchronization process has not been working...pass-thru authentication appears to be fine, but neither new users nor changes to existing users are showing up. Path and limit of generated daily log files in OpUtils
Hi, We are using OpUtils (version 5.6 (build 5617)) and few days ago we had generated daily log file of 1.5 GB in size. Daily log files are generated on path AdventNet\ME\OpUtils\logs\localhost_log.YYYY-MM-DD.txt by default. Is there a way to change this path? Is there a way to limit size of log file? Thanks, Darko
Slow Switch Port Mapper Scan
Hallo We've installed the OpUtils Tool in our factory. So far it's working great an we get all informations which we looking for. At the moment, we've got 112 Cisco devices an around 3300 switchports to scan. The hole system runs on a virtual VMWare ESX server, with Windows Server 2003, 3 GHz processor and 512 MB memory. When i click scan all devices is takes around two hours to scan them. Isn't this a little bit to long? Greetings from Switzerland Patrick

how to change date format
Hi @ll, how can we change the default date format "MMM d, yyyy hh:mm aaa" to a shorter one like "yyyy.MM.dd-HH:mm"? I have already tried to change the date_format in all *.xml in the conf/PassTrix folder and restarted PMP with no success. Best Regards Oliver
Reporting on "tickets handled in past x days"
I'm looking for a way to report on how many requests were handled by the department (perhaps by technician) in the past x days. Typically it will be within the past 7 days. I also want to be able to separately two numbers: Number of requests on which the technician did something (asked for more info, researched, did testing, etc.), but the ticket is still open. Number of requests on which the technician resolved or closed the request. I don't fully understand how and when RespondedTime and CompletedTime

Hi. SDP will not let me create a second group. When I click the 'Save' button, it keeps telling me "Group name already exists". 1. Hi, I'm testing Netflow Analyzer (NA) and have a problem only with one device. I've got Cisco Catalyst 6500 with Supervisor Engine 720 10GE. That Supervisor supports IP flows in Layer 2, but NA didn't receive any L2 flows. Bulk resolving of calls
We're running SD+ 7.5 here. If we have an incident which generates many calls, I'm looking for an option to send the same resolution to all tickets for this particular issue. Can this be done? Merging all the call doesn't help because the resolution will then only be sent to the main ticket under which all the others were merged. I hope I'm clear. Thanks, Will
AppManager will run for a week then all monitoring stops
I downloaded and installed the new appmanger using the trial version (MYsql) monitoring a few windows servers and a single SQL server. Then in a few days well before the trails ends all resources stop getting monitored and some resources when I click them just goes to a blank page? I see them all listed and they are all in green status but when I click to see more details they all say “No Data is available” I have now does this for the third time???? Any ideas or suggestion you might have why this
