OpManager process shuts down automatically
Hi All, I have a question about our opmanager. The process is started automatically in our company, but in every three days it will stop automatically aswell. Followed by event id 7036 The ManageEngine OpManager service entered the stopped state. We have to manually start the service again, and then it's working again for three days. How can i prevent this to happen, and let the opmanager service stay online? Thanks in advance. Eddy
Sorting of labels at charts
Is it possible to affect the sorting of the bars and / or the labels at the chart view (at reports). I like to show first the IR bar. Also I like to show the colors of the priority this way: Very urgent, Urgent, Normal, Not Assigned. Thanks for help, Alex

Automate Login
Hi I would like to automate the login process for our support reps in some way. I was looking at the source code for the main login page and notice that you have a function called 'CheckIfExternalLogin' which appears to support what I want to do. Can you confirm that if I pass the userNameToken and passwordToken on the url (via a post) then that user will be logged in? Also, to do that, I think I will need the proper page name for the login page as right now I just put the server:port into the browser

Dear All, Our customer is interested in Anomaly Profile feature of APM product. APM offers Baseline Value and Custom Expression. In Baseline Value, APM offers Weekly. But they wish to manage with day of the week and Monthly. For example, Monday: Threshold value of CPU Utilization is 40% Tuesday: Threshold value of CPU Utilization is 60% .... Assign a license from a pool directly to an asset
I would like to propose an enhancement that would enable you to assign a particular license to an asset. Currently you can only assign one from the pool of licenses to an asset. Asset Scan IP conflict
We have a number of users who connect through a VPN, which dynamically assigns an IP. The issue is that the scan reads the IP address and over writes any assets that might have the same IP. Is there a setting I am missing, or a possible fix for this issue?

QuickTime
The one product that I am surprised is not supported yet for automatic patching is Apple QuickTime (and perhaps iTunes). I am currently deploying it fine with Software Deployment, but it would be nice if it were available for automatic patching. Is there a licensing problem with Apple? Thanks!
Use Domain Name w/o Port?
Currently, I'm using Desktop Central using localhost:8020, but I'd really like to assign a local hostname (say http://desktopcentral) and an internet domain name (say http://desktopcentral.mydomain.com). Usually, I could do this through IIS7 by editing the bindings, but Desktop Central doesn't have a site/application listed in IIS7, so I can't do this. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works. Anyone able to give me a hand? I'm using Windows Server 2008 with IIS7. Thanks, Sean

Identical escalation ten minutes later...
We have four SLAs, each mapped with a priority, each set to send an e-mail to user X if the SLA is breached. User X is getting the breach e-mail, but ten minutes later (plus or minus two seconds) they receive ANOTHER e-mail identical to the first. I double-checked the SLAs and this individual is only named once. Why are they receiving two e-mails at such predictable spacing? None of our SLAs have escalation levels that close together.
lost email messages
Hi, it seems that ServiceDeskPlus lose some email messages when receiving tickets via email. We are currently using POPS from Gmail. We found no criteria that causes ServiceDeskPlus to lose messages. Most messages arrive correctly and are transformed to RIDs, but from time to time a message is simply ignored. And no, the messages are not in SPAM folder on the email server. Do you have any solution ? This causes much confusion and serious problems with customers. Looking forward for your answer. Thanks
General performance 7601 appears slow
Has anyone else noticed that after upgrading from 751x to 7601, the general performance of SCP has gone down. Use to be with 751x, when you hit the save / send button, the save was usually completed within a second or so. Now we are looking at stretches of 5 to 7 seconds, during which time there is no screen activity to indicate the save / send has been pressed. Monitoring the memory usage of a JRUN instance
Hi, I have successfully set up a JMX [MX4J / JDK1.5] monitor to monitor a JRUN instance. The primary reason for doing this was to alert us when the Heap grew past a certain size. Unfortunately I have been unable to get out the information I wanted using Applications Manager. I have set up a custom attribute using JRUN's java.lang.Memory MBean and chosen the HeapMemoryUsage attribute. All I get from this is the value "javax.management.openmbean.CompositeDataSupport". Hi, our company is evaluating your product to replace our existing tools and at this point we are very impressed. I have a question about the unmanage option. We have a couple of URL Sequence scripts running and we are needing to, for the time being, stop polling. We currently have it unmanaged, but in the monitor information, while the Next Poll information seems to have correctly paused the polling, the Last Poll still shows 5 minutes ago and we have had it unmanaged for a while now.. Is there a report I can run that will tell us which Categories / Sub Categories / Items have never been used? SNMP v3 Stops Working When Device's IP Changes
The network that we have OpManager installed is fairly dynamic and the IP addresses of some of the devices change on a regular basis. A recurring problem that we are having is that when the IP address of a device changes and we update it in OpManager (and its associated entry in the local /etc/hosts file), we are no longer able to query SNMP v3 statistics from the device. We can still poll it using snmpgets from the linux command line and browse it using your built in mib browser, but it will not
License Expried, New License Obtained but I can't install the new license

Report Filter Value List Only Shows 86 Users

How to link to an asset from ouside of SDP...
I would like to create a link from within a document directly to an asset or a work order in SDP. Hi - is there a way to modify the reports in ADAudit? I like the user logon activity report but it shows too much information as our users login to multiple remote desktop sessions. All I want to know is the time they login to the network for the first time each day. Is this possible?
Mail feching problems in pop up
Hi, In SCP we have the option "Send e-mail when an Application Error Occurs (For eg., Mail fetching problems)". But when SCP stops fetching mails for some reason it will also stop sending mails, there for we will never get this notification. It would be a better idea to to display the notification on screen (in a popup for example), this way we will be able to see that there is a problem and solve it alot faster. Best regards, Allistair
Custom Active Directory Tabs
We have a few custom tabs in our AD environment. I want to set one attribute in these tabs to a specific value. My problem is that these custom tabs do not show up in AD Manager so I can't set the value there. I have a VBS script I can run to set the attribute value. Would I run a custom script and if so, where would I physically place the scripts? Or do I place the actual vbs script contents in the custom script box in the Modify Template section of AD Manager? RSS / XML Feeds to External Apps?
Does SD have any RSS/XML interfaces so that I can pull, say, a users outstanding ticket count or annoucements etc. and publish it on our intranet or other website? It would be nice to extract/pull data from SD like tickets, annoucements, New/popular KB additions etc. directly from webpage/webservice rather than hacking up the application or writing out own db queries... I am currently trialing the firewall analyzer and am wondering if there is a way to group the website details report by second level domains. ie. all of youtube.com traffic counted as one rarther than each individual 3rd and sometimes 4th level domain?
Monitoring Domian Controllers
With earlyer versions of OpManager it was possible, to monitor Windows domain controllers WITHOUT the active directory add on to OpManger. Of course, one couldn't monitor active directory counters, but one could monitor ressources such as memory or disc comsumption as well as hardware failures (as long one was installing the correct MIBs).
