Execute mbean operation
Is is possible to execute a mbean operation at preset intervals. For example every 5 minutes. The reason for asking is that the mbean that I monitor only details the maximum time. So if the maximum time occurred 2 days ago then this value will not change until there is either a new larger maximum time or the reset mbean operation is executed. By executing the reset mbean operation at regular intervals allows me to monitor the maximum time at near real time.
OpManager integration with OpUtils
We use both products and OpMan is good at alerting when a switch interface has a problem and OpUtils is good at knowing what IP/DNS is currently plugged into that interface. Can you link the two products so that the OpMan email alerts can also provide the current DNS name on the interface from the OpUtils database? -Thanks
New Purchase
In requests there are options to create a New Problem and a New Change. How about also having an option to create a new Purchase Order? Requests quite regularly result in the purchasing of new equipment and linking to the PO to track progress would be great.
Out Of Office Email
Whenever someone has an Out Of Office auto reply to something, like to a new Solution notification email, Service Desk Plus logs a new job. How do I stop Out Of Office emails being logged as new jobs? It's ok when they are added to existing jobs as that is useful information. I just don't wan tthem logged as new jobs.

AppManager 9 in Linux
I installed AppManager trial edition in Ubuntu 64, but it's not starting well, I'm getting "Error in initializing relational classes in Topology Module. Unable to remove old fibre switch port monitor from database ?
we are using IBM BladeCenter with Brocade Fibre switches with Virtual connection capability. I set up SNMP monitor for swFCPortOpStatus ( .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.4.* ) in Opmanager to monitor active ports incase of failure. Later I found that I can have a better monitor by using another OID. so I remove the old ones and put in the new OID (swFSPortPhyState, .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.3.*). AppManager on RedHat stops sending notifications
Hi, I have the AppManager runining on a RedHat box, but after a couple of days I stop receiving notifications. I just restart the service and it starts working again. Have any body had this problem before? TIA

how to get disk utilization chart on linux servers?
I can't seem to get the pie chart to work with the linux servers. I have been testing the monitor and it fails but if I do an snmpwalk manually for that oid it works just fine. Any idea why its failing?

Hi there, We are about to go into production with SCP. If anyone has any experiences they would like to share it would be helpful im sure (positive and negative). Monitor seems alive but it's not collecting data on APM
Hi, We're testing APM on a linux server, sometimes a host is active (green) on the map, but without data because there was an error when connecting to the real host. Question: How can I know if a host has lost connection or is not collecting data from the business view? Maybe it should show gray instead green color. Thanks

MySql Server is down
Hi, The monitor for the Applications Manager MySQL database server (created automatically when Applications Manager was installed) shows the following error: MySql Server is down. Error Message: Unable to connect to any hosts due to exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect The execution of MySQLDebug.bat displays the same findings. APC PDU Outlet Status
the following entry in the POWERNET MIB: .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12.3.5.1.1.4 shows the status of all 24 outlets on the PDU i can use the instance (e.g .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12.3.5.1.1.4.1) to get the status for outlet one which is either OutletStatusOn(1) or OutletStatusOff(2) my question is this: i want to monitor all 24 outlets on this PDU for a change. failure to search for users in AD

Backup and Restore "7.5 to 7.6"
Hi Folks, is it possible to restore a 7.5 backup on 7.6 SDP ? I tried it, but it didnt import anything, I did it the right way, backup 7.5 server take the backup file to the 7.6 server, run restoreData.bat on 7.6 server, after shutting down the server, and does it backup requests and assets and configurations ?? or what exactly ? thanks

Don't flag laptops that fail scans every day! They're just out!
I get a worryingly high number of failed scans showing up every day on the Assets view because the machine is a laptop and is currently out of the office. Is it possible to set workstations so it will only flag them (and add them to the "Workstations Failed During Scan" total) if there has never been a successful scan (as the settings/credentials may be wrong) or if it fails a predefined number of scans after a successful scan? Is there also any way to have a "last successful scan date/time" field
Permissions for one group to assign another group tickets
Is there a way to adjust persmissions where members of a group can only assign tickets to another group and not to individuals. We have members of our Help Desk that assign tickets to individuals of a tier 2 group instead of the group itself. The problem is that the person they assign it to may be on vacation and the ticket won't get looked at until they return. I would like to prevent that from happening.

I notice that OpManager has Bandwidth Billing functions, are these the same as what's in the Netflow Analyzer product or more enhanced or less? we are looking for a single solution to manage IPAM, Network and Bandwidth Billing for our clients ideally a single solution would be good but i couldnt see any IPAM function in OpManager so im assuming we need to use OpUtils and Netflow Analyzer themselves, which we have already been informed cant tie into each other?
Remove overdue flags from customer portal
Good morning today, I have a questions about the red overdue flags that are shown in the request overview screen. We really want to remove the flags from our customer portal if that is possible. We find it very useful for our own overviews, but don't want to emphasize the over due's to our customers. In an older post I read how to change the flag icon, so I'm guessing I can remove the flag from the customer portal and our overview all together, but that's not the goal here. If anybody has an idea

Hi, i have following problem/question: We have contracts with different response-times and different resolve-times. Times during the day are shorter then times in the night and on weekend. The times during the day are not the same then the operational hours, ... For example: Operational hours: Mo - Fr 8.00 am to 5.00 pm SLA of one Customer: 7.00 am to 5.00 pm (day) -> response-time: 2 hours / resolve-time: 4 hours 5.00 pm to 7.00 am (night) -> response-time: 4 hours / resolve-time: 6 hours weekend
request notification
When someone send a request to us we dont want the system to send out notification if the email doesn't exist in the system, is that possible do that? And when i have approved the email can i then send out the notification with a button?
Execute bachtes in off-time for a monitor
Hi All, I am new to this forum and Applications Manager. I've started using Applications Manager last week and I found many fantastic features in it. They definitely suites our current needs. However, I am looking for a facility that when I define a monitor, I would be able to do something, (i.e. running or resuming a batch) in off-time or when a server is in clear state (for eg. Report for open requests older than 3 months
Hi all, I am trying to develop a report that will show any open requests older than 3 months old since created. I want it to be automated so will need to use a getdate function of some sort. I wrote a query in SQL that works well converting the createddate value to yyyy-mm-dd but doesn't work in ServiceDesk. How to set a snmp monitor to get a value calculated from two oids?
for exmaple: 1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.1 means total number of the value. 1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.2 is the current value. I wannor create a monitor to get the value like this: (1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.2 * 100 / 1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.1) Or I can create two monitors to get values of those two oids separately. and then, how to set the config file to show the value (1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.2 * 100 / 1.3.6.1.4.1.123456.1) in the snapshot dial.

I am testing ADManager Plus on a test server using the free version. I am getting the message Could not create more than 100 users. License Level Exceeded. I thought the only limitation to the free version was you could only manage one domain?? :?:

Out of Disk Space
We have around 4000 computers that are managed. Hardware requirements are listed as 20GB for this number of managed computers. We are over 150GB of used storage and are out of space on our Desktop Central Server. How can we reduce space? All non-essential system files have been removed and 'old files' have been compressed using cleanmgr.exe.
