Custom Service Catalogue reports
None of the pre-built reports covers Service Category & Service. We are in the middle of rolling out a new piece of software and we have a service defined for it under the service category software. It is unbelievable that I can't quickly knock together a customer report listing service requests, grouped by service category and service.

Due date problem: Merge requests
Hi, When we merge a request that both have a due date with for example: 11-12-09 8:00 and 11-12-09 10:30 the due date changes to 53-12-09 So the year is a bit much as you can see, we have this with every ticket we merge. Please incorporate a captcha mechanism to the login page. Otherwise, OpManager is vulnerable to dictionary attack. Being able to check in on the current condition of the production environment using OpManager from anywhere and any device is a very good thing. This is particular true for large organization and with employees traveling frequently. Notice, using ssh or vpn to create a private connection is still not good enough. email notification profile test fail
Hi, I was able to setup mail server settings to use smtp.gmail.com. I then tried to setup the email notification profile. However, "Test Actions" fail while executing send email action. Please see the attached screen capture. The left side of the screen capture show that I was able to successfully test mail server settings (I verified receiving the test email). The right side of screen capture showed the email notification profile test failed.
How to bulk delete the Technicians?
We have accidentally import 300 users from AD as support reps. We need to delete all of them. I cannot see any option to bulk delete these users. Do I have to delete one by one?
Replication to DC DS
It seams that replication between the main DC server and one of the DS is not working. The DS is connected to the central location through a VPN. The folder C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_DistributionServer\replication\store is empty! How can I discover if there is a communication problem? Notes In the notes piece, it would be nice to have URL's automatically detected and proper HTML tags implemented to create the link. This goes for Emails also. I like to be able to check on the status of the production environment from anywhere and using any internet device. The one issue I worry about is a hacker using a dictionary attack to get the admin password. Does OpManager has any defense against that? Or is there a configuration in tomcat that can defend against that?

Could there be some way to combine software that is picked up as separate components into bundles? Mac software is particularly guilty of treating parts of a bundle as separate components in scans - Office gets split into Word, Excel, PPT, etc (Office sometimes renames them separately as Word/Microsoft Word just to be awkward) and Adobe bundles split out into Photoshop, Illustrator et al. Problems with attachments
Since I updated our SDP-MSP to 7606, everytime we try to download an attachment to an email, we get the option to save a file "FileDownload.jsp". This file is actually the attachment, it's just renamed for some reason. Has this been reported? I'm running Firefox8.0 on Ubuntu 11.10 (so I assume this bug can put under the heading "Browser compatibility"? ;) )

We check the active and inactive sessions per Citrix Terminal Server with a total of 60 servers it would be nice to have a widget that displays the last value. This is possible per device but I am looking for a way to list al the servers with the last polled vallue sorted by nr of users. Is this possible ? Thanks in advance Ruud
Deleting custom fields
I have a template where I have used "Add new field" and dragged it into the template to create the custom field. I no longer require them now but when drgaging them back to the left of the screen where the list of fields are, there is no way to delete them.

Monitoring OpManager Itself

under linux the ShutDownOpManager.sh require X11
This is an issue on Linux. Both the installation script and startup script works fine without X11. However, the shutdown script require X11. There is no reason for this requirement and most production Linux boxes don't for X. I had to manually kill the server. Remote MySQL user password reseting
Password Manager Pro looks to have some great remote password resets (via agentless method) but I'm having an issue with password verification and reset on MySQL Server user accounts. Normally our MySQL Servers are only bound to localhost and do not except remote connections. Does PMP support SSH Tunnels for the agentless method? If not, could it support SSH Tunnels? Additionally, I can foresee this causing issues as you'd have a Linux resource for the local SSH account and then a MySQL Server resource.
Network Configuration Management plugin for OpManager 9 pulls hosts, but not credentials or asset details from opmanagerdb
Good day folk, It appears redundant, that one would install the Network Configuration Management plugin for OpManager 9, and have to retype credentials/asset details all over again for a separate MySQL DB instance for each and every network device. Is there anyway we can get a sync right off the bat, something like: IF installing for OpManager, THEN: IF SNMPcredentials table exists in opmanagerdb, THEN: INSERT SNMPcredentials-stuff INTO `deviceexpert`.`somecredentialtable`
apply template doesn't work under the following use case
1. discover a new device 2. suppose for whatever reason, OpManager manager is unable to categorize the device 3. manually categorize device (let's say Windows 2008) 4. modify device template for Windows 2008 5. apply Windows 2008 to new device. At this point, the apply operation doesn't work. The new device does not get any of the monitors from the device template. There is no error reported either.

Sites reappear after deleting...
Hi I'm very new to ServiceDesk so this is probably be a something very easy to sort.. Under Sites in the Admin page i have 85 different sites listed which have our department names listed, we only have 1 site. When I delete the sites they reappear the following day. I'm guessing this is related to the Active Directory import but I can't see a setting to ignore Sites. Any pointer would be great fully received...
notifications not sending alerts
I'm running the latest opmanager. I have verified that the mail server works. I created an email profile and told it to use every condition for alerts. I attached it to the server being monitored. When the service goes down I do not get an alert.
Problem to delete subnet "100.0.0.0/8"
Hi, In the Discovered Subnets, I got a subnet "100.0.0.0/8". I approved this subnet, but now, I want to delete it. Unlike othet subnets, I cannot delete this one. Is that because it is such a big subnet? Is there a way to get this "100.0.0.0/8" subnet deleted? Many thanks, Raphael

i installed desktop central agent to a newly installed win7 pcwhen i try to apply the disable disk configuration to this pc the local hard disk drives also disappear
