Hi, I tried creating configuration to block cdrom internal drives, I can block USB sticks but Cdrom drives can still be accessed is this normal ?

Is there a way to change the Template colors in the form. I use 5 Different Templates and I would like to change the Frame colors? Is this something that can be done. Thanks Tom
Business Rules: Criterias are not saved :(
Hello, Is there anyone having this issue? I create multiple criterias in my business rule and i save it When i go to the business rules list, my new one doesn't have the criterias or maybe one or two !! I tried t add them one by one saving in between, but there is no consistency ... Not even an error message telling me my business rules have something wrong ... Just have to pray to see it saved the next time! Thx, Franck
How To Trigger Alert Based on Results from A Oracle Query?
Hi there. Is there a feature in Application Manager that will automatically trigger an email alert based on the results of an Oracle Query? If the query returned the result "Failed", I want AppManager to automatically trigger an email alert. Can it do that?

EventLog Analyzer Stops collect events
Hello. Such problem occurs. EventLog Analyzer periodically stops collect events. About one time in two days. This always happens at night time, never in work hours. At the evening all works normal, I close web console, logout from server and at the morning I see, that there are 0 events on all servers for this day. Server starts collect events again only after I restart service. At the same time syslog works all time normal. EventLog Analyzer works like windows service. I tried set setting of service
ELA & FWA Encrypt and timestamp?
In the ELA and FWA there is an option to encrypt and timestamp the archived log files. Before I encrypt these, where would I find the information (key/password) to decrypt the archive log files or am I prompted to enter one when I select encrypt? What is the purpose of the timestamp option? Does it timestamp each log entry or the entire log archive? Thanks.
Broke after Windows Update
Hi, we have an Event Log Analyzer 7 system that I inherited only yesterday. I was able to log in yesterday to add a DC to the hosts and that seemed to work. Today I caught the Windows 2008 R2 OS up on the Microsoft Patches. After the reboot sometimes I can log in to Event log Analyzer, mostly I cannot. The screen is blank with just the hour glass. If I am able to get in I can get to some screens like settings but other ones like reporting will also just give me just the hourglass in Internet Explorer.
nfdump - Optional Record Extensions bit size
Nfdump captured file may have extension for each flow. The extension byte size are identified by the flag field but the optional extension has no such flag fields.so can't able to take byte decision .For example optional Extension 4, 5(Interface records) has 2 bit or 4 bit . Requests by technician report does not pull up all technician's data
I am new to using the Service Desk Plus software. My predecessor created a few custom reports so we could run weekly reports to show open tickets by technician. The data displayed a graph with each technician's name displayed with the current number of open tickets for that week. Recently something has changed and whenever I run this report, it will only display the data for my account. I had one of our other technicians run the report, and he now only sees the data for his account. I have not

Unable to Close existing Purchase Orders after 8.2 upgrade
After upgrading to 8.2, I am unable to close purchase orders that were created prior to upgrading. Purchase Orders created after the 8.2 upgrade can be closed as normal. Regards, Robin

Hi, We purchased new kyocera printers type TASKalfa 3050 ci, TASKalfa 3500 i, FS-C2526 MFP, FS-3540 MFP, FS-4200DN and FS-2100DN. When scanning in SD+ we get a little bit of information, but not all info in captured but are available in the printer: CI name (hostname) Product (unknown printer) -> most important ! Serial number Mac address Is it possible to capture the location and other custom fields ?
Email Command (email fetching) creates Request for any email even without the special cahracter
Hi, I have setup incomming mail server using POP and enabled email commands. I noticed that ServiceDesk plus creates a new Request of all emails even if it does not contain the 'E-mail Subject contains' field value. What I understand is that the subject line should contain the specified characters before it parses the email, otherwise, it will be ignored and nothing is done. Did I miss any other setting or this is a normal behavior? JC
All SNMP monitors stopped responding
Hi, I've just noticed that all my servers stopped showing SNMP values. I've already checked: the credentials are correct SNMP is running restart of SNMP service on device doesn't help restart of opManager server doesn't help reading an SNMP value from opManager mibbrowser times out This has happened twice in as many days but the first time we were still able to read an SNMP value from the MIB Browser and then it randomly started working again. No one was in the system when the SNMP monitoring stopped.
mail reply to notification sent from problem mgmt module creates a new ticket
Hello We are sending notifications to requesters from within the problem management module to inform them on the progress of a problem When requesters reply to this mail, it will create a new request in the request mgmt module. How can we a) prevent this b) attach the reply mail to the problem in order to have a history of the conversation in the same way you have in request module Thanks for any comment. Best regards, Marc
failed windows backups
Our windows backups on server 08 are all failing around the same time we installed the manage engine asset explorer on them. We've since uninstalled the agents, but our backups are still failing. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi there, We made a custom report and choose All Assets in the Module section. However, on the next step, [Service Tag] is not available on the available columns to display. However, it appears when I select All Computers (Workstations and Servers) as the module. Why is that?
Save Report As function after editing a currently existing Report
I find it odd that after running a report, you can "Save As" the report to essentially create a new one; however why is it that you cannot use the "Save As" function if you edit the existing report and run it. After editing a currently existing report, you are only able to override "Save" the report. You cannot save it as a new report.

RPC / WMI firewall ports
I am trying to collect Event Viewer logs from servers residing in a different network segment from the OpManager Server. These network segments are separated by Firewalls. I know we need ports 135 (RPC) and 445 (WMI) to be open to accomplish this (which they are and I verified with telnet), however I still get RPC not available. I verified the RPC and WMI services are running on the local boxes as well. Are there any other port considerations (say when using RPC) for the firewalls that could be blocking
Move EVA pgsql DB to alternate location?
Has anyone successfully relocated the pgsql DB to an alternate drive\path on their server? I'm attempting to do so on a new server / install of EVA 8. I followed the procedures as outlined in: http://www.manageengine.com/products/eventlog/help/additional-utilities/move-database-different-directory.html#MovingPostgreSQLDatabase After following the proceedure above, the EVA service fails to start. Modifying Requester Incident Template
Hi I'm new to SDP MSP and am hitting a problem modifying the Requester view in the default request template. I can modify the Technicain template using drag and drop, but when I move to the Requester tab the available fields on the left hand side of the screen are all greyed-out and I am unable to drag/drop them. custom monitor snmp
Hello, I'm setting up a custom monitor based on an snmp table. The table is composed by 6 fields, the first coloumn is the name of the raw (that identifies a mirth channel), and the other fields are the values that I want to monitor. Everything works fine, I set up 5 different monitor, each one is related to a value. The issue is that I want the alarm to contain also the value in the first coloumn of the raw that generated the alarm, how can I use the snmp oid (that identifies the coloumn) as a variable

Dear ME team, I have one certificate from GoDaddy with is used for multiple hostnames. I need to install this pre-existing certificate from Godaddy which is being used for our other servers like MS Exchange and etc for ServiceDesk+ MSP too. So i send a request to Godaddy to add our srvMSP.mydomain.com host name to the list of trusted host names and now I have got three certificates with .crt extension for tomcat with the names 1)gd_bundle.crt 2)gd_intermediate.crt and the third one 3) mydomain.crt.
Viewing CCTV or dashboard outside of Opmanager
Is there a way to view a either a Dashboard or a CCTV window outside of opmanager? We are looking at a way to display our current network status - to staff so they are aware if their might be a problem. We have a web based portal for sharing information and would like to add the network status as a frame or something similar. Is this possible or has anybody tried it?
Maanage alerts when a WAN Link is down
Hi We use OPManager 10 and we have several remote network sites. When a WAN Link si down, we get alarms related to the remote router and alarms related to any device behind the router that all that stuff are down. is it possible to configure OPManager 10 that when a WAN Link is down so stop alerting about devices that are behind the remote router ? Mark a requester as a service account
I posted this in the wishlist thread for 2013, but I wanted to break it out from there. We have email addresses for services/applications to report errors. Create a flag on the requester record that marks a requester as an automated service and do not send it emails, exempt it from surveys, etc. I want it to be able to file requests, but not for SDP to try to contact it back.
