Import Data as Note
Hello, we are importing requests from an Excel file. There is a field that we wish to remain hidden from requesters, but are unable to import this data as a note. Is there a method to import data as a note or possibly another field that can be hidden to the requester? Thanks, Steve
Mail fetching problem on SDP server
Hello to all, we have experienced some problems with mail fetching. Server patching with desktop central
Hello, We are trying to move our server patching from wsus to desktop central. However, we like that fact that we could start the update process directly from the servers manually. How can I get a similar behaviour with Desktop Central ? In other terms, I want to log on a server, execute something that will start the update process. Thank you for your help
View patch jobs or configurations from other technicians
We have a technician that has configured and running a patch job. Other technicians who are logged in are not able to view the patch job(s) or view the status of running patch jobs. We are looking under the 'Configurations' tab and then selecting 'Created by All'. Also on the 'Home' tab there is a 'Configuration Summary Report'. Can that also be made to reflect all Configurations instead of just the logged in technician?
login session timout?
Hi there, OpManager build: 11400 Just wondering, is there a login timeout settings I can change? I've just installed a fresh OpManager and trying to configure it. SI've been using the default admin username. Somehow it decided to be "unresponsive", clicking any of the link does nothing. And then I've reload the page and it gives me the login page again. Is this expected? Or I'm missing something here. Thanks in advance!

Is the Bookmarklet still a feature? I am trying to auto login to some websites and the URL method does not seem to be working for this site. Browsing the forums I saw some posts about the Bookmarklet but I do not have the option to install it as it is documented. There is no Bookmarklet option under the Auto Logon/web app passwords tab. Declined Patches still showing up
Since version 9 has come out, all the applications that i have set up to decline patches have started to show up as needed patches for the clients. Is there some feature or option im missing to stop these patches? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance.
Dynamic groups being used for scheduled restarts
I am trying to create dynamic groups that holds all of our user and use that group to to run scheduled restarts. When I go to add this dynamic group to scheduled restarts it does not show up. Wondering if this just is not possible or if I am going about it in the wrong way. Please advise.

Problem with fetching mail
I don't know why my post was I quess deleted. So from the beginning. I made installation of SD Plus v9.0. But I had to make reinstallation. Before I did I had working properly e-mail settings. Scanned Software Installation Counts
Referring to a previous post from long ago, http://forums.manageengine.com/topic/scanned-software-counts, I am still finding this issue in the latest version of SDP. For example, in the Scanned Software list it shows there are 42 installations of DropBox on our network. Yet when I click on the number 42 to view the installations, there are only 19. For some other software installations, it has also shown 1 installation but when I click on the number there are actually no installations at all.

Technicians Adding Tasks to Approved Tickets
Is there a way to stop a technician from adding tasks to tickets that are not assigned to them? Issue is that once a ticket is approved, tasks are being added after the approval for access that has not been approved. This has happened twice this week and business rules are not working and I do not see the option under Roles unless I take all access away to create a task.

Allow inventory agent to be configured without remote control service
I'm choosing not to use the remote control feature of the inventory agent on SDP. Right now, I must install the agent and then disable the remote control service (ManageEngine AssetExplorer RemoteControl). I would prefer if that were a configurable option when configuring the agent software before downloading and installing it. In other words, make it an option not to install the remote control service with the inventory agent.

Hello all I'd like to get a report of all monitored services that could run on a weekend when the monitoring is in a "scheduled downtime" period. Is this possible? The idea is we can check all services are running and ready for Monday morning. Thanks Andrew

Expanded Multi-Line Field
Is there a way to expand the default width and height of a multi-line field? Specifically, in Internet Explorer? I logged into Support Center Plus in several versions of IE and don't see an option. I do see an option to expand by dragging in Chrome, but even if that were available in the browser, we really would like to set a default width and height of the field since it will always need to be larger than it defaults.

Workflow - Generate alarm - Documentation
Hi, I'm trying to use Workflow to generate an alarm on a device but can't get it to trigger a notification profile. My problem is how to link the notification profile to that generated alarm by the workflow on a particular device? I've read the documentation on workflow (http://help.opmanager.com/workflow-conditions-actions) and can't figure this one out. I could use the send SMS from workflow but it can't use notification profiles and this is not practicle as we will need to modify the workflow
Asset status localization problem
Hi, We have SD+ 9.0.9029 setup on PostgreSQL - Enterprise license. We use Polish language. We have problem with asset status localization - "In Store/In Use etc.". It is displayed in English even if Polish language is chosen in user interface. I've checked the translation in ApplicationResources_pl.properties file and it is present (sdp.asset.resourcestate.XXX values) but not used by the system. Hi, The requests for being able to search / track asset history go back over 6 years (the ones I've seen while looking for an answer to the question 'Can you...'.) The answer in each case has pretty much been 'We'll be adding it to version x.x'. Being a Help Desk person and not a security \ networking person, I need detailed instructions to give to the networking folks on what I need them to do to my server to make it accessible to my techs on their mobile phones. Hello, We have had an unlimited license for netflow and opmanager too, but after I installed the free edition of netflow I guess it has not loaded the license yet and now it says 22 days remaining. Why is our license not effective?
