What to do to monitor a Customer Network
We have installed OpManager on our server (SBS 2003 Premium, 192.168.0.50), enabled snmp on our devices and it's working fine. We use a cisco 826 router (192.168.0.6) and our external address is 203.23.216.65. Next step we would like to take is to monitor a customer. This customer has an ADSL connection using a Cisco 837 Router with a static IP Address is of 203.23.221.59. Mysql continuing issues
When I tried to start OpManager on the existing MySql 4.0.18-nt instance on port 3306 the error I get when I click on the Alarms tab is: Exception occured while forming SQL to get Total Count; nested exception is: java.sql.SQLException: Syntax error or access violation, message from server: "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE Alert.ID >0' at line 1" Also if I try to add a router or such nothing
Web Mib Browser broke since 5_6 upgrade...

Hello, That's the first time i try OPmanager. my OS is linux debian. I have on the starting of OPmanager, this error : Connection Failed to web server. gracefully down OPManager. On the help guide, it say that i need to install a lib (libdb..) and so do i. But nothing goes better. Do i forgot something?
If Badwidth information not displayed for Vanguard Routers
We have VANGUARD 340 and VANGUARD 6455 SNMP enabled routers. All the interfaces are shown with status information(up/down), if name, link speed, but not the TX and RX traffic. I created a Custom Monitor using a OID that gets some traffic information when using MIB Browser, but when associated with the router device, no data is collected. I also tried to load specific MIB for Vanguard Routers, but OpManager shows an error message during MIB load: "Error parsing MIB:traffic_monitor_opt.mib" Does anyone
Custom Monitors (MIB Browser / OID)
Okay I'm trying to monitor a SNMPv1 temperature monitoring device but I'm not having much luck. I can get the correct variable from snmpwalk, but Opmanager refuses to poll it. This is the OID I'm trying to monitor: iso.3.6.1.4.1.16174.1.1.1.3.1.2.0 snmpwalk shows it as: iso.3.6.1.4.1.16174.1.1.1.3.1.2.0 = STRING: "78.5" the MIB Browser will list the entire devices status only when I enter and hit get or get next on OID: .3.6.1.4.1 Shouldn't this be as easy as specifying IP, snmp community, and OID
Adding Linksys WAP54G to OpManager
Hi, I'm trying to add Linksys WAP54g to OpManager. It got picked up as a server, so I tried to add a new device type for it. The system description OID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2.10, but when I try to add it it says that there's already a device type present for this OID. However, I can't find it in the list. The closest ones are .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2.3 for Solaris and .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2 for Linux. alec

BRIDGE-MIB Problems with Switch Port Mapper
Hi I have loaded the BRIDGE-MIB and when I do "get" from the MIB Browser I get a connection to the switch (Cisco Catalyst 4006-SW). However when I try and use the Switch Port Matter I get the following error message: "Data not available. BRIDGE-MIB might not be implemented in this device." Printer monitoring
Is it possible to have an email sent when a printer reports it is low on toner or the fuser oil needs to be replaced etc? but only to send this email if its been in this status for say 2 or 3 polls?
Configuring multiple monitors
I have been configuring OpManager to monitor multiple servers, and am curious if I can add multiple monitors to the same device simultaneously; instead of adding resource and traffic monitors one by one. The wizard seems to add multiple devices with one monitor, so would have to repeat the process multiple times. Wondering if there is a easier way to do this. I am mainly using the web client to configure the devices.

Port number -- failed established connection with web server
Hello I have a GREAT problem!!!!! I installed OPmanager without problem but when i want to execute : ./StartOpManagerServer.sh ...............! nothing sh StartOpManagerServer.sh..............! nothing I changed Port with: ./ChangeWebServerPort.sh ................ 81,1000,9090,10000 and lots of others. Linux "System Load" Resource Monitor missing in 56
The new Resource Monitor avaible in OpManager 5.6 is missing from the opmanager_graphInfo.xml file. It exists only in the HostResource.xml file. The Monitor was added in the opmanager_graphInfo.xml file, but theres more new Monitors that I don't want to add manually. Where can I find the opmanager_graphInfo.xml file version for the OpManager 5.6 Tks!

Active Connection Count in 5.6

Memory usage
Hi there We are currently using Opmanager 5.5 How ever we are monitoring a Dl360 with the resource and vender specific monitors The operating system it is using is SLES9 The server has 2 gig of ram and 4 gig swap space How ever the Memory utilization resource monitoring is averaging at 56% and the vender free physical memory under vender specific monitors claims we have 20 meg free (which is correct) can someone please tell me on how to fix this problem please
OpManager Request Form
I am the OpManager admin of my wan. I would like to be able to send out a detailed request form to the others in my nation wide organization that specifies what devices they would like monitored and what they want them monitored for. Then when I recieve the form back, all I have to do is punch in the info and their device is set up for monitoring. I have not found where this exists and would like that ability. Something that includes every feature in OpManager so the user knows what OpManager is

Can not login to Web: How do i reset the admin password?

Opmanager fails to start
After installing a patch from microsoft to get our comapny web to work, Opmanager fails to start. on inital start up of teh server, opmanager hangs on configuration complete. If I stop then start the service "ManageEngine opmanager", the opmanager screen freezes on "configuring Authentication". Does anyone know what might be the problem?

OPManager is not polling
Dear friend I have cobnfigured OPManager and left it run for one month without ayttending It was observerd that the last poll done was on Jul 07 and the polling has stopped after that for 15 days. On restarting it has started polling again. Pl help atsivakumar
Fix for mysql errors in Suse 9.x
Found this in a Suse forum and it fixed the "Unable to connect to mysql daemon" error. It is now working. The problem was that JDBC was having problems with the ipv6 in SuSE 9.2. Commenting out the line: #::1 localhost ipv6-localhost ipv6-loopback in the /etc/hosts file solved the problem. This plus the libdb fix for the web server previously mentioned gets OpManager up and running successfully on Suse 9.x
Startup problems
Hi, I have installed Op Manager on a server that also i am also running Servicedesk and another product that uses mysql & tomcat all on one box and i am having trouble starting the opmanager service in the windows event log it says the following "the ManageEngine OpManager service terminated unexpectedly." i have already changed the port 8009 on the other tomcat application so as at least i can sort of start Op Manager. I think it could be some thing to do with the fact i now have three mysql servers
Appears that I need to load a mib upon startup
In the MIB Browser, I can get the desired information IF I manually load the MIB. I have set up a couple of test graphs using items from the loaded MIB, but they always show no data available after running for a while (at least 2 collection periods). Did find mibstoload.conf or something like that and added the desired MIB file to it, but still nothing after stopping and restarting the server. I Can't Figure It Out
I am trying the demo version of OpManager, and I need an answer to this question. On my Desktops list, my own computer shows up with the blue star (SNMP enabled), and all my monitors work well. However, none of the other Desktops on the network show the blue star, even those with SNMP enabled, and I can't get any of the monitors to work for other Desktops. What do I need to do?
