I get weird alarms: Device Active and Responding and status is Trouble. How is Active and Responding a trouble. I have notice this ward behavior only with printers.
Windows SNMP install script
I have 400 windows 2000/2003 servers that I inherited from the previous Server team. None of them have SNMP installed and I need to get it done ASAP to take full advantage of OP MGR. Does anyone know of a script I can run to install it in an automated fashion on all servers?
Opmanager 5.6 /monitor exchange 2000 N/A status
Hy, i installed the new version of opmanager on a test server. version 5.6 of opmanager. the problem is, that monitoring exchange 2000 does not work. the server i would like to monitor has follow settings: windows 2000 server with exchange 2000, wmi is on the system activated. i have add the exchange 2000 monitor (wmi-based), the domain-admin pasphrase is in operation exchange server health is ok, but all other services had an N/A status,(screenshot2) i has test the monitor for some services , example:
New mapping device "Wireless"
I have added all of my devices for monitoring & the mapping sections are intuitive except my wireless devices. They don't fall into any existing categories. My request is could it be possible to have a Wireless device mapping? I know you can create business views but this gets a little complected for helpdesk staff for monitoring purposes. Cary

Hi! We monitor about 40 firewalls with SNMP, and i need to be able to check that they all have the correct firmware installed. I've tried to add a custom monitor that reads the system description via SNMP (it returns "Clavister Firewall 8.50.02-PRE006V"), but I'm unable to set any kind of threshold on this value, since it not an integer. OpManager on ISP environment
Hi, I try to use OpManager on ISP environment. We've a lot of router and each router have more ip/interface. We've CISCO 7xxx, CISCO 72xx, CISCO 65xx, CISCO 3600 around 25 nodes up. Now, I try to add each node into OpManager. But it detects my CISCO router into Desktop. How can I corrent this ? Please advise me, how to optimize OpManager on large network environment. OpManager Hangs on Startup
We had some issues with the server hosting OpManager and now when the system starts up, OpManager tries to load and just hangs. I've attached a picture of where it is hung up. How do we fix this?

First, I noticed our FreeBSD Servers are being detected as 'Linux' servers. Then I tried to manually change the device type to FreeBSD, but there isn't one. There isn't even a *BSD or just plain old 'BSD'. I chose UNIX, since it's the next closest description of the device, and the web image of the server is just a plain desktop. I looked in the C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\OpManager\webclient\devices\images directory, and found a unix.jpeg image that, while it's a desktop, would suit the purposes.
Formulas in graphs
I am trying to get a formula to work in a graph. Here is my graphinfo.xml file. It is not working even after re-adding it to the monitor. However, the headings did change (from oC to oF as I had it to begin with) so I know it is seeing the change ok, it just wont do the formula. Received TRAPs are shown in ALARM list not TRAP?
Hi, I hope you can give me an advice or solution for my problem. I am receiving traps from one node but in OpManager I can't get them as TRAP I just received them as ALARM. It is a bit confusing to me. I made a trace and I was able to see that TRAP messages are sent to port 162. If you need more details I can provide them to you. Thank you in advance! Best Regards, Ivo

TimeSchedule for Monitoring / Alerts
I'm testing your Application for changing from my Whatsup Gold / ServersAlive. There comes up a question about a feature. I would like to monitor an URL/Server. Normal URL Monitoring would be 1 Min and alerting after the second down to a specific (Pager)EMail Address. But between 22:00 and 5:00 The alerting should go off only after 5 down and even then sending an email to another E-Mailaddress (nopager). Negative values on a graph?
Hi, I'm using a custom monitor to graph a value that can drop below zero. The value returned is in tenths-of-units, so I put "/10" on the end of OID I'm querying. Whilst this value is positive, I get the desired result of OIDValue/10. When the value goes negative, I get (32768 + (OIDValue/10)) instead. For example, if the polled value is -50, I get 32763 shown in the table and the graph. I don't know how these values are stored within OpManager, but it looks like it might be some kind of signed/unsigned

nohup command doesnt work for me
The nohup command doesn't seem to work for me. When I use that I can not access through the web, even though by looking at the processes everything seems to be running. Currently I just logged into the GUI and left terminal console open. Any ideas on what can be done? Anyone else experienced this? Mind you I am not the most knowledgable of linux users.
OpManager Web Client
I have installed OpManager on a server on our network and set up apache to do rewrite rules to the server so I can access the site remotely which works great. The problem am having is with the security of the OpManager Apache, the Apache document root is the home directory of OpManager(C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\OpManager) This is pretty bad as I can then do http://localhost/conf and then see the config of the machine and also likes of http://localhost/apache. I have tried to change the httpd.conf

The applications manager always says that the service is not running. The apache is working fine. Also I can access http://apachehost:80/ through my browser fine. web security in suse linux environment
i've developed a system where only registered user can access it. I use session to control the user login process and also for system security which means any unregistered user can't log on the system and the system should cannot bypass the next url without login first. I have XXX.XXX.XXX.0 (255.255.255.192) Should be .0-.63, right? Also have XXX.XXX.XXX.64 (255.255.255.192) Should be .64-127, right? When I add XXX.XXX.XXX.108, it's adding itself to the first network instead of the second. WTF?!

Feature request!
Hi, I have another feature request :) Currently you can set threshold alerts for various monitors, where the threshold is an absolute value. However, not all graphs go down - some only go up (buffer hits for a router, for example). In these instances, an absolute threshold value isn't much use; what would be nice is a "rate of change" threshold. By looking at the graph, you can see what a "normal" rate of change might be. On one of my routers, the "Medium Buffer Hits" counter goes up by about 15,000
