Way to stop monitoring a process on a schedule?
Hello, We have a process that stops every night for our backup job and everyone is getting a notice when it's down. Is there a way to stop monitoring a process by schedule? Thanks, Matt

Server listings - 2 problems
We have two problems in OpManager. 1. Two Windows 2003 servers, similar hardware. SNMP is enabled and running on both servers. Credentials are all set up and the same on both servers and in OpManager. Monitors are default using SNMP for CPU, Memory, Disk. On one server SNMP passes the test and the monitors are showing data. On the second server SNMP fails the test and no data is appearing. 2. Tried putting a Windows Server 2003 server into the server list. OpManager says it already exists, yet it
Can't browse a manufacturer provided MIB in the MIB browser
I have saved an MIB provided by FortiNet, for one of their FortiGate units, to the MIB directory. It is recognized in the MIB list in the MIB Browser (aka it's a file in the mib directory), but when I select it, it will not load the list. I have taken a look at the MIB file itself, and it appears to be in proper syntax. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have a solution? As an alternate, I'd like to be able to enter the traps OIDs. Is this possible? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Matt I can
Monitoring drive space on D, E, etc
I would like to monitor the free space on the D and E drives on one of my servers and have a nice pie graph to show the usage when I view the server. I searched the forums for a solution to this problem and found a post from 2004 where a link the userguide was given, but the link isn't valid anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
MSSQL Monitoring - DB Mirroring

Adjusting Active Directory Template
Hi I am trying to adjust the thresholds on several of the Active Directory monitors. I now I can do it individually, but was wondering if there was a way to modify the actual template as I have over 30 Domain Controllers, and would like to keep them consistent. Loose data from backup and restore OPmanagerDB
I had some problem restoring OPmanager DB. So I download the trial, install it(version 7200). Add one switch and only one server. I make a backup; installing on another machine (same SO Windows 2003 SE) the trial. After I make a restore OPmanagerDB (start>manageEngine>DB manager>Data maintenance>>restore data) on the new machine. I open in the restored machine OPmanager, but I don't find Treshold Alert and Rearm Value from a Monitor Name: Disk Utilization
false interface down alarms
Hello, I have a problem in my Opmanager 7200 build. I have 50 devices in my Opmanager but i made a SNMP trap if an interface is going down. But never maid a option to get almost every second a message with the following error (see attachment). This is driving me mad because i get every day around the 4000 errors. Hi, It would be nice to be able to set more specific right to user accout. For exemple the right to manage/unmanage a device for user that need to do maintenance tasks on servers or applications. Another question : is "Active Directory" authentification planned ? Regards

OpManager general health stats
I would like to see OpManager stats. Things like, polling queue, 100% of polls executed within the defined monitoring interval. Nagios has this and it is extemely useful in growth planning for the monitoring server itself. I have over 200 locations and multiple large sites, there is nothing (besides TOP cause I'm on Linux) that tells me how OpManager is doing. Maintanence Windows
We have maintenance windows setup for various task that we run because during these periods we do not want to receive alerts on specific machines. What we have noticed though is that once the window elapses, alerts are not generated if the issue stills exists. Is this a common functionality or something that can be fixed?
Migration
We recently purchased a license for OpManager and now need to move it from our Dev environment into our Production environment. This includes putting the app/web server onto a nice new VM and moving the DB to the SQL Cluster. We have already migrated the DB from MySQL to MSSQL. OpManager Command Line Support
Is there any command line support for things like reports, device adds or deletes, or performance metrics from devices? The reporting is email only. There is no ability to save the report in a network location. Device adds or deletes through command-line would be nice to be able to script. Also, command line support for analyzing performance metrics numbers outside of using graphs would be great.

is there a way to setup an alert so that we know when snmp is broken on a box? we periodically find a system that isn't reporting snmp data properly and have to uninstall/reinstall snmp to fix it.
SQL2005 WMI monitors stopped working
Hi. We've been using build 7202 for OpManager for several weeks now, and on the whole I'm quite pleased. However, the WMI-based monitors for SQL Server seem to have inexplicably stopped working. Using the "test" option I consistently get "The Monitor did not respond to the test request", and no data has been gathered for the last week. The monitors used to work fine. SQL server system info: SQL Server 2005 SP2 running on Windows 2003 Enterprise R2. OpManager is running on an HP DL320G5 server, 3.2GHz
Active directory monitoring in build 6
My company using build 6015. we our been trying to get active directory monitor to work. It keeps failing with the correct credentials. It does the same thing in the demo build of 7. I believe in it should work in 6 before we even tackle build 7.2. My company is really want to make it work in 6 before we look into going to another build. I have try the solution that was offer on the knowledge base and it did not work. Does anyone know of another solution? Thanks for your help in advance.

OpManager Connection Problem
Hi, Currently I've got OpManager set to poll multiple computers for information. 2 servers on Windows 2003, 2 PCs on XP 64 bit, 5 PCs running Windows XP 32 bit, and one Laptop running Windows XP 32 bit. Of those the only one which seems to consistantly poll for data is the one it's loaded on. Of the others I can connect to one other PC (windows xp 32 bit), and the laptop but they're sporatic at the best of times. The others I can't seem to get any information from. Scheduled Report - Custom Time Period

Process Monitoring Problem
Hi, after upgrade to version 7200 one specific server alarmed all the process that was monitoring. So, I verified if the WMI configuration was correct and enable in the server. No problem found on that. Tried to Add a new process monitor and received an error message "Error # User credentials cannot be used for local connections. Refer Troubleshooting Tips". Then I have deleted the server and after a while added again and the process monitor problem remains. The WMI credentials are OK and normal.

Hi, I will have more than 200 locations (1 subnet per location) to configure in Opmanager Each location will have its own server, two or more printers and more than 10 desktops. I need to monitor each location but because they will be install at the same time, I need to prepare and configure my network monitoring tools before the deployment. Cisco Port Security
I have configure port-security on my Cisco switches. If someone plugs a switch or wireless AP into one of the ports the port will go into a ERR_DISABLE state. I have been trying to configure OpManager to send an alert when the port goes into this state so a tech and be dispatched. Has anyone one done this? Any help would be appreciated.

Question about port Flaps
Is there a way to monitor a Cisco Switch port for port flaps ( UP Downs ) without being nagged about every port that is down. I want to monitor a port for UP Downs but dont want an alert every time someone turns their computer off.
