Switch Port Mapper - If scan failed then always failed
Hi, I test Oputils 5.6 Build 5603 with 10 Cisco-Switche. In the Switch Port Mapper Tool sometimes break the scan on some switches with failed. All the same how often scan is repeated status remains failed. If I removes the "failed" Switches and adds it again - it functions again excellently. I use the newest Version of OpUtils. Can I name a device with a UTF8 name, such as Chinese, Japanese names ?
I am using OpManager 7(7105). Currently i try to name a device a Chinese name but i got some shit.
The device addition fails.
Our company,We are using Opmanager8.2 now. The watch device is registered with six servers already. Though we add two servers newly,we received messages which number of devices exceeds permissible limit of 10 devices. Why does such a message appear? How can I add the two servers? Linux Installation via commandline
Folks, Could someone point me to the installation doc for Linux without GUI? I don't have X installed on the server, just command line. I've tried to run ./ManageEngine_OpManager.bin -console, but that did not work... I have sun-java6-jdk installed, and I see Sun Java JVM starting, but then it drops back to the command prompt, with no error message whatsoever. I am running Ubuntu 8.04 server. Thanks you. Paul
Service Desk / Netflow Integration
We currently have OpManager, NetFlow and ServiceDesk running in our network. Opmanager has indicated it's able to integrate with the other two programs, however, each program is resident on a separate server. Is there a way to integrate them in this scenario?
Router Response Time N/A
Hi, We have a router that's currently displaying Response Time: N/A, as well as packet loss: N/A. This router is pingable, we can tracert,connect, do everything via Opmanager, (Availability, Memory and CPU usage are displaying correctly) and the credentials are correct. adding router in opmanager
When I go to routers page in OpManager and want to add router for monitoring, I can add router by name or IP address. Than I can choose netmask for IP address. But I can not choose netmask 255.255.255.255. Last netmask in the list is 255.255.255.252. Because of that I cannot choose loopback address as router IP(my loopback have netmask 255.255.255.255). I want to know what is the reason for that situation, will choosing netmask 255.255.255.255 be posibility in some future OpManager versions? Thanks

Hi, I am having difficulty in getting this to work. On the limited documentation that is available form you, and how Op Manager implements this. According to your Doc it states that 12.3 or later will be fine. Yet i am running version Cisco IOS Software, 7301 Software (C7301-BOOT-M), Version 12.4(13c), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2). MS Exchange 2007 Cluster monitoring fails
Dear support, We are running MS Exchange 2007 SCC on Windows 2008 Failover cluster. Individual nodes are working fine with OpManager but resource monitor can't get the information from Exchange Cluster. Any suggestions?
Error after installing manage engine
I just installed Manage Engine OpManager to test it out and during the installation I was prompted that port 80 was already in use and was asked to specify an alternate port. Port 8060 was recommended. I accepted the recommended alternate port and rebooted but now when I try to access the web portal (http://localhost:8060/LoginPage.do) I get an "500 Internal Server Error" and a message to check the server logs. Hi there, I have added a whole subnet of servers/network devices to my opmanager install and it has dumped most if not all of them into the 'Desktops' Catagorey I have had a hunt around but cannot find a way to mass move them into the servers catagorey other than manually opening each device and changing it from Desktop to Server Is there an easier way to do this?
Creating a 2nd operational Server Infrastructure View.
Hello, Opmanager Build number 7100 (Windows) We are monitoring so many Windows Servers that I would like to start creating additional Infrastructure Views to separate them, instead of all of them being in the Server View. Whenever I try to make a new Infrastructure View (for example "Servers 2) the functionality of any device i place in the new View is very limited. You cannot configure it like you could if it were in the built in Server Infrastructure View. Is what I'm trying to do not possible?

How do I get OPMan from triggering an alert each time a port on a switch goes down? I need to see when the entire swicth goes down but not evey interface or PC reboot. I get way to many alerts on switch ports. I am sure it is something easy but I just can't find it. Thank you

Hi... Just test and play with Opmanager v8. But i have a small problem. When im using Opmanager V7, Can view my Disk Utilization on Netasq firewall. But when using V8, I cant view it. Other monitoring running perfectly. Then i try using my 2nd firewall (Snapgear Sg580), Opmanager V7/8 cant view my Memory Utilization and Disk Utilization. Other monitoring running perfectly. Traffic is not monitored
Hi! I have a problem with one of our Linux servers. No traffic is monitored there. The credentials work correct (SNMP and CLI). The port is shown as "available" but no other data will be collected. Performing a GET command on a folder in MibBrowser
Hi, I'm developing an SNMP Agent and I'm having some trouble when I perform a GET command over a folder. When I do that, OpManager seems to make about 2k requests to my SNMP agent always asking for the folder's OID instead of it's leaves' OIDs. Encrypted CLI authentication passwords
Hi! If I want to use CLI I always have to change the ssh configuration at my Linux systems. The PasswordAuthentication setting has to be set to yes (accepting clear passwords). Performance monitors do not work all of a sudden
Hi all, we are using Opmanager for our customers, all of a sudden the performance monitors for a few customers - not all- stopped working. Cant load MIB from QNAP TS-509
Trying to upload a mib file I got from the manufacturer QNAP fot model TS-509. However, it cant be uploaded in the MIB Browser. It just says "Cant upload MIB". If i drop the mib file to the Opmanager server in folder Opmanager\mibs I can see it in the browser but I cant select it. discovery problems
I am testing opmanager, but discovery of my network is being more than cumbersome. using the Range method results in the system freezing unless i use a single range, i.e., 123.123.1.0 to 123.123.1.254. I use the correct netmask, thanks for asking. If i use an extended range, 123.123.1.1 to 123.123.10.254, the system hangs after a percentage if discovery.
