Opmanager AD integration not working properly
Hi, We're using v9400 and we're testing the AD single sign-on integration. We believe we found a minor bug in it. It looks like it can't handle nested groups. When we add an AD group that does not contain user accounts, but one or more global group(s) instead, it looks like the application is not capable enumerating the nested user accounts within. Can someone confirm this? Other than that it's great to have this feature!
Slow Web Access from Remote PC to OpManager
We are having an issue with the web interface for OpManager being very slow when the computer you are using is not on the same network as the OpManager server. It takes the login page a long time to appear and access within the program itself is pretty slow. Everything works, it is just slow. Dashboards that are embedded in other pages take a while to load as well when remote to the office, but load almost instantly at an office computer. Hi all Im using Opmanager 9 build number 9010 , What i`m trying to do is to trace the printers that i`m monitoring using the opmanager i.e to to know which switch that particular shared printer is connected as i have monitoring all the switches by the opmanager. Can i create a Map view containing of shared printer -----> and the switch that connected to it . OR the switch ------> and all the shared printers connected to it ?????? Appreciate your support ..
Netflow Install.. gone wrong somewhere... ...
I tried installing NetFlow on my server tonight, and it didn't work as I would have expected it to. When I input the Netflow server info in the plug-ins section, it test's OK and comes back to say it connected successfully. So I go to click the NetFlow button to connect to it, and it comes up with: HTTP Status 500 - type Exception report message description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request. exception java.lang.NullPointerException com.adventnet.npm.NFAAuthFilter.doFilter(NFAAuthFilter.java:241)
Problem to see chart for interfaces
Hello, I'm running OpManager build 9400 in a Windows 2008 R2 machine and I have problem to see chart for interfaces. I'm sure that I saw chart working well for some machines but for some reasons charts stopping to work.But if I click on "Real Time" chart I see the it's work but no way to have data for chart and I still have "No Data Available". OPM monitor Steelhead
Hi Support, My client has about 20 Riverbed Steelheads(Wan Optimization) and OPM DE, they want to use the OPM to monitor the Steelhead status, such as optimization connections, hard disk status and so on. The OPM can provide some monitors about CPU、Memory、Connections, however i still can't find something about the hard disk, because the Steelhead hard disk has been destroyed recently by the aging. Hi there. I'm using the latest version of OpManager to monitor around 400 systems. I understand that OpManager doesnt store syslog messages. I'ld like to know if I can install another Syslog utility on the same server and make OpManager forward syslog events to that utility. If yes, how should I configure it? Thanks. Jayesh

Hello everybody ! I'm testing the new OpManager with MSSQLEXPRESS bundled. I Installed it without any issue. BUT, when I tried to restore my datas from OpManager v9410 (MySQL Bundled) to the new OpManager server (v9450 MSSQLEXPRESS bundled), there is a error concerning the datas version. Obviously, the version number are different (v9410 against v9450, see screenshots...) how can I restore my datas????
OpManager Error 1067
Hi, I'm installed a new probe server of Opmanager on a Win 2008 R2 x64 and connected this server to old OpManager DB. Before it similar server was worked with this DB. Server crashed and we replace it to a new machine with the same IP, DNS name and other configurations. But after that while I'm trying to start OpManager service system shows me the 1067 error. DownTime Report - Built In
It looks like this report hasn't gotten any love for a while. As far as I can tell, this is the only report that is going to show me how MANY times a device goes down and individual durations of those instances. It gives a start of outage and end of outage time, great, and then it gives the total duration of that individual outage, great. However, there are several issues with this report: The Total Downtime calculation for a device which seems like it should just add up the column total

Hi, Earlier my email id was configured in the "TO Email ID" field in mail server settings. I was getting email alerts for all the devices. Now I removed it and configured another ID but still I am getting alerts for all devices. pls let me know how to stop this. Sam Pragash.
SMS messages looping
Hi, SMS test actions works fine, however, the sms goes in a loop and keeps on sending the same sms test message over and over. It stops when the Nokia phone is disconnected. I use Opmanager 9 SP1 on XP working in a VMWare virtual environment. Thanks for any response Marc

HI I Would like to know how OpManager measure availability with ping. What is the frequency of the pings, it size and other details oF the ping that measure the availability. What happened if the network is slow but available and the ping is missed? OpManager will measure that time as NONAVAILABLE?. What is the OpManager's Default time to to discard a ping. Unable to create a folder monitor in OpManager "folder not found"
I am unable to create a folder monitor in the latest version of OpManager 9101. When creating any monitor and clicking on "test" I get the error "folder not found" See the screenshot of the simple example below which is checking for the c:\windows folder. new DATABASE format
Dear Zoho, OpManager user/customer for a long time, I noticed that you changed the type of embedded database within opmanager. For a long time (since v6700 I think) we are using OpManager with MySQL DB embedded. DO WE HAVE to change/upgrade our installation to the other DB embedded version ? Limit to business views for AD accounts?
Hello, I recently updated my OpManager install to 9410 and have been testing out some of the features. AD authentication is working well, however I noticed that when an AD user gets added, we don't have any options to limit them to specific business views as we do with local accounts. The only options I get per user are to change contact information. I understand the need for this ability is probably pretty low, but I thought it would be a nice feature. My business has considered using OpManager

SNMP not working for SUN Solaris
Hi, I have added the server, configured the CLI access credential. I can ping the server from OpManager. But I tried SNMP credential and it is not working. Can i get some advise on how to troubleshoot this? I am using "public" community name. How do i crosscheck whether the SNMP is running in the server, or the community name is enable? Or is there any other config i miss out in OpManager? Running SUN Solaris (HP Server). Thanks.
Problem to signal alarm for syslog messages
Hello, I tried to give me alarms when receiving syslog messages but without success. If I go under "Alarms" -> "Syslog Alarms" I still have nothing! Under "Syslog Rules" I have only one rule and is configured in order to accept all messages. The rule is set as: Facility Name: Any Severity: all checkbox checked Match Text: Alert Severity: Attention Alarm Message: $Message Number of Occurrences: 1 Time Inerval: 60 So, with this configuration I was sure to accept all syslog messages but nothing. F5 MIB's are not loading on OPManage build 9101. Attached is the error message and the MIB in question (provided directly by the F5 gear in question). New device(s) added to the Port [xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx]
Hi, All the switches we monitor with OpManager all show the same alarm which was generated around the same time: Attention 2012-12-12 11:11:18 New device(s) added to the Port {00:1B:78:57:0E:28] There are multiple alarms on each switch showing different MAC addresses for each instance of the alarm. I can't see why these alarms have been generated or how to suppress them. There's nothing on the switch logs to suggest anything happened, and there are no snmp or syslog rules configured within OpManager
Backup doesnt seem to be working since 9400
Hello Before I upgraded to version 9400 I used to be able to backup OpManager in about an hour. Now I cant seem to get OpManager backed up in a reasonable time in the Data Maintenance. Today I have let the backup go for 7 hours and it still says "backup in progress" I havent been able to let it go longer because we cant go after hours without OpManager monitoring our data center. I upgraded to 9410 to see if it fixes the issue. But it still just says "backup in progress"

Good day We are use licenced OpManager 9.2. In e-mail notification message hyperlinks for fields "Message" and "Device Name" look like "http://localhost.localdomain:80/fault/AlarmActions.do?methodCall=alarmProperties&entity=...etc" and "http://localhost.localdomain:80/devices/objectdetails.do?requestid=SNAPSHOT&name=...etc" Can we change these hyperlinks to "http://192.168.1.***:80/fault/AlarmActions.do?methodCall=alarmProperties&entity=...etc" and "http://192.168.1.***:80/devices/objectdetails.do?requestid=SNAPSHOT&name=...etc"?
