OpManager and Applications Manager integration
Do you plan any integration between OpManager and Applications Manager? It would be great to add more advanced apps monitoring to OpManager.

I need to know what OpManager does with the above file, as I have had some severe problems with MySQL and OpManager. When I carry out a default install of OpManager, MySQL will not startup unless either I edit the config file for OpManager to use the same information as c:\Winnt\My.ini (e.g. port, user, password) or I copy the Netflow Analyzer StartupDB .bat and modify accordingly. Why do NetflowAnalyzer and Firewall Analyzer install fine but not OpManager? I have lost two sets of data so far...

Logging into OpManager from PC via IE6
Hello, I am new to OpManager and I have the SW loaded on a Windows 2003 Server. The web client works fine on the server but I cannot connect from my PC using Internet Explorer 6. I get "page not found". I turned off IIS as a startup service since OpMgr wanted to use port 80 and it has its own Apache web engine. This scenario also holds true with ServiceDesk Plus we have loaded on the same server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will

Linux Agent in OpManager
I have a problem for using OpManager. I have installed opmanager in one linux server and want to use it to gather other linux server's CPU, Harddisk and RAM information. I tried to install net-snmp and AdventNet SNMP Agent for Linux in the linux servers. My OpManager can only recognize that the servers are Linux OS, but it cannot get any information of CPU, Harddisk and RAM. How could I use OpManager to get the CPU, Harddisk and RAM information from Linux Server? Thx!
Cannot Start OpManager
From the web browser I receive the error message "Error in downloading client files from BE". The server where opmanager is running shows the splash screen with "Configuration completed" and some dots on the bottom. This does not seem to be active. ZyWALL and opmanager
I just started to implement OpManager at my work, and i discovered a problem, we only use firewalls from Zygate, and when i add our ZyWALL, i get a firewall with 12 ports, and 9 of them are down, and one is unmanaged, and only 2 ports is online and working. There are about 7 ports in this ZyWALL, how do i correct this issue?
Netscreen 208 MIBs
Hi, We have received new mibs from Juniper to monitor the Netscreen 208 firewalls. I am having problems loading the mibs into OpManager. Friendly Name in Reports instead of Device Name
In the server availability report, I would prefer to display the name I have entered for the server instead of the name it picked up from the reverse lookup. Is this possible? This is the case in most of the reports.

Router Interface 100% Utilization
Is there any known issue that would cause my router interface (mulitlink - 4xT1 - 6Mbps) to show 100% utilization 97% of the time? The inbound/outbound traffic combined is not equal to the full circuit. Is there any way to verify what the software thinks the bandwidth of the circuit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Auto-login for Web Client
Hi, Currently, you have to login to access the Web Client. Is there an auto-login feature? I would like to use OpManager as network monitoring tool similar to HP Openview Network Node Manager and/or Intermapper, where users can just access the network maps and/or business views without logging in. opManager: Alert Notification and Escalation
I have found the following document recommending some steps towards 'Fail-safe alerting' in opManager: http://manageengine.adventnet.com/products/opmanager/fail-proof-alerting.html This document mentions alerting in different ways depending on the clock. But I am confused. From what I can tell there is no method to schedule alerts and escalation against the clock, or to a roster. There is no method to reliably escalate alerts at all in fact. Is there a method, or plugin that enables sensible alerting
stop notifying on acknowledged alarms
Under Admin>Alarm Escalation, we have a rule to notify on critical errors once an hour. However, this also notifies on alarms that have already been acknowledged. Maybe I misunderstand OpManager's concept of alarms and notification, but when I acknowledge an alarm, am I not telling the system "I know about this, please don't bug me again?"
Migrate opmanager to new server...
What's the best process for migrating to a new server? I am currently doing a DB backup on the existing server. Should I then just do a DB restore on the new target server? We would like this to be as seamless as possible and with no history loss of course. Cheers!

I have installed adventnet manage engine free version.I have also loaded the mibs for Canopy devices .The devices support snmp2c .The device requires authentication before snmp query can be done. I could not find anywhere in settings for mib browser the option to specify root password.The same is given only for snmp3 . Can u let me know how to go about this..?
CATOS CPU Usage and AIX memory
Dear Kevin, I have checked the cpu usage OID of the Cisco Catalyst 6509 CATOS7.6 is OID1: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.9 and I also added the customizing monitor via browser client. But when I test monitor for this device. The result is that the monitor is not response. The oid is: OID2: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.9.0 please tell why the OID2 automatically add a ".0". I also use MibBrowser.sh to test the OID1: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.9 and load CISCO-MIB. The testing result is OK. Please

CPU Utilization using Linux/SSH
Few issues with the CPU resource monitor using Linux/SSH CLI. a) Is there any way to check the load average of a linux system istead of just cpu utilization. b) In the following case the threshold (90%) was violated at 6:38AM and the alert was sent out but i still havent received followup notification indicating the cpu utilization is back to normal. SNMP info through a firewall
Hello: I have a boarder router on the outside of my firewall with SNMP configured on it. I can get the basic info from it but I can not get detailed traffic info. I configured the firewall to pass all the traffic, but still am not seeing all the info. For testing I opened UDP traffic and TCP traffic in both directions but no luck. Any ideas?
