Sharepoint URL monitoring
Hi, I am trying to monitor a sharepoint URL which require NT authentication. i tried giving the username and password in the authentication area but it still doesnt work. I URL always says un available. Any ideas how to set up a sharepoint portal URL on Opmanager? /Praveen

We aren't able to view the following data past the 7 Day marker; Response time, Packet Loss, CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, and Disk Utilization The only one I can see is Today's Availability. We need to be able to see past records of those statistics to measure for problems. Any suggestions?
How to know when?
I want to know when does our OpManager was patched in 7204. I need the date and time. Can this one be possible to see?
Missing Devices
I have a fresh install of the 7204 build with a MSSQL backend. When I add a device, it is added successfully, but then after I change the category to lets say firewall classification, I can't see it listed under that category, or anywhere else. Unless I go into reports and do an all devices report.
Fix Firewall's interface always missing
We are experiencing this interface always missing in 1 our Fix. The said interface is the most important interface for us to monitor since this is our main VLAN. Before, rediscovering the interfaces worked but now its not working anymore which is not also good since rediscovering from time to time results to lost data for the device. What do you think is causing this? Hope to hear from you soon.
PIX 515E interface always missing
Guys, What do you think must be done or checked? I have a FIX 515E and has 10 interface but the most important interface for me to monitor is always missing. Before rediscovering the interface and the device itself works to view it again but now, it can not be added anymore. My Opmanager is now running at 7204 Build Number. Thanks and regards,

We are using OpManager 7. We want to integrate the dashboards into a web portal. Does OpManager have any web services, API or mechanism to provide integration with portals ? Thanks in advance. Regards.

hello, i need migrate opmanager installation from win2k3 server to Linux Server. I'm try to backup DB and restore it on Linux server, but no luck. do you have some manual about this procedure? Or just can't migrate server method like this?

OpManager monitoring Exchange.
Hello, We are having some problems, when we try to add an exchange server to OpManager. After adding the server, and it report ok for a while, no errors on snmp or wmi, we go to add server monitor and after adding the exchange monitors, when we add the storage groups, we cannot proceed, as the following screen keeps coming back empty. If we add only one storage group then it continues, but the statistics are not correct. This exchange server has 4 private SG and 1 public SG Thanks in advance DM

Hi I have several routers, setup and monitered fine. I need to monitor the load on select interfaces. How can I set up an email alert which will notify me when a threshold on a select interface is above a certain level? Thanks Dave
PIX not displaying interface stats
Hi-- I added a PIX 520 to opmgr without issue ( blue star next to device and device info came up fine ). But i still have no interface stats. I've removed the interfaces, added them back, removed the PIX and added it back. OpMgr classified the PIX as a desktop and i don't see any information about the interfaces when i click on them. should i? thx
Bug in Availability Report
Hi, I found a bug in Availability reports. When I click on the availability pie chart of a switch element (see image device_snapshot.jpg for a real example) to observe the detailed report, it shows me a report with a state diagram containing blue unmonitored bars, and without the name of the element in question (see availability_report.jpg). However, if I click on the icon in the upper right corner of the availability box for last seven days (7>), it gives me the correct information (see availability_report_2.jpg).
starting explorer using the notification profile

"Switch Port Mapper" for SAN Switches
Hi, I added my Brocade SAN switch to OpManager and I would like to associate ports to servers. The "Switch Port Mapper" fonction seems to only recognize network mac-addresses. Is it possible to associate the fiber channel switch port manually ? If not, is this function planned ? Best Regards

Hi, I have following situation a router and behind this router some desktops and servers. Whenever this router goes down, I get an alert about this router. I also get lots of alerts from all devices OPManager can not poll any more, because the router is down. As far as I can remember, in an older version of OPManager I could configure device dependencies. But I can't find them in my release 7201. How can I prevent lots of alaerts just because a router is down for some minutes (it is just a dsl-router
Opmanager does not collect data
Hi all, There are some problems that i'm facing with OPmanager although i dont know if the problem is Opman itself. Whenever i install opm it doesnt see all of the servers. The weird thing is that when i uninstall it and reinstall it it sees the ones that it didnt and cannot see the ones that once did see. It seems OPManager storing interface statistics in two table IF* (IFRAW) and IFHC* (IFHCRAW). For some devices its storing in IF* and for others in IFHC*. If i want to read data how to identify the table to be read. Thanks, Ravi

Moving to different server

SMS alerter : Nokia 6230i in USB : failed
Hello, I have a problem with the sms alerter I have plugged a nokia 6230i in usb with the cable CA-53 I have installed the Nokia PC Suite for the 6230i drivers When i will configure the sms alerter I enter the port number but it failed even if i changed the port number Does it requiered a special Baud Rate ? Backup failure.
I have a script that backs up the OpManager database every night. It was working until now, only thing that has changed was upgraded from 7xxx to 7200. pix interfaces not reporting stats
hi-- i added our pix firewalls ( snmp looks good, blue star on icon ) and it detects the 2 interfaces installed, but no stats. I've tried removing the interfaces and rediscovering them, removing the device, re-adding the device, but nothing. Am i also supposed to see the interface IP address under the device details? and it still discovers as desktop ( tho it fills in the correct pix model and IOS ). thx

How add a new performance monitor with out orverwriting?
How do I add a new performance monitor to my 200+ servers with out overriding all the custom values. I built a new monitor to add "disk service time" to monitoring. I added it to my Linux template. But when I try to apply it, all my thresholds on the selected systems are over written. I do not want to apply the whole template, just the one new performance monitor to my 200+ servers. Under "Apply Device Template" If I use "Apply" or "Apply & Overwrite," both over write the thresholds of other monitors

Alarm Handling
Hi, We are running opmanager as well as SDP. I would like to integrate these applications so I can have opmanager log a ticket in SDP. This is not the issue. My problem is that we have been trying to "trim" down the amount of alarms that opmanager generates. Some time back we made the integration, but we had to brake it, as opmanager generated some 8000 alarms during one hour. displaying data on a bank of monitors
We have a bank of 4 monitors hook up to our opmanager machine and we would like to display four different web browser windows with each showing different data. is there an easy way to set this up? also if we click onto the dashboard tab when the auto refresh kicks in it takes us back to the overviw screen. Is theri a way to stop this from happening?

Failed to establish a connection with web server on SUSE
Hello Guys. i'm receiving the following error when o start the OpManager server. Failed to establish a connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down the server I've alreaduy checked some posts, but i see that my groups or folder permissions are not the reason. But one thing i noticed, is that the StartWebServer.sh script is not present under /opt/Adventnet/ME/OpManager/apache folder. The ShutDownWebSrv.sh is present, but not the start script. Any help would be apreciated. OS: Lunix SUSE 10.3
Description Issues with Exchange Monitors
Just thought I would send in some screenshots of some bugs I found with the Exchange Monitors. There were three that I found: 1. On the MSExchange Monitors Tab after you have added the monitors it shows one called Outbound SNMP connections under the SMTP Monitors section which I'm sure should be SMTP (SNMP Desc Error.jpg) 2.
