Regular DataBase Corruption
Hi all - We are all too regularly getting the following error when we logon to OpManager: SQLException while preparing the statement with id : 18 Cause : No operations allowed after connection closed. Connection was closed due to the following exception: ** BEGIN NESTED EXCEPTION ** java.sql.SQLException MESSAGE: Communication link failure: java.net.SocketException, underlying: A stop/restart of OpManager resolves the problem only to the point that logon then notifies us "Ops, a few tables got corrupted..."
Not able to see CPU & Memory utilization in Opmanger
Loaded the necessary MIBS ,even though i am not able to see memory utilization,CPU utilization of Juniper J4350 Router in Opmanager. Do the needful to proceed further Regards, karthick Saravanan
How do I get the total availability for current month?
This is probably very simple, but I cannot figure it out. I need to know what our total availability is of our network devices for the current month. I don't care about per device, just the average. If from the main page, I click on the top Network tab, it's all blue which means not monitored. I have a lot of switches being monitored, so how do I have these included in the Network tab? Is there a Networks meta-group? Thanks, -nik.
Corrupt User Interface
I have a user whose profile appears to be corrupt. When he logs in some of the icons are x'ed out and the fonts and links are appearing incorrectly. This occurs on other machines with the same credentials. When I log into a different account on the same machine the interface displays correctly. I have checked DB consistency and restarted all services. I've deleted cached from user's machine info and still am having same issues. Any ideaa?

We are having 6509E switch and installed flexiwan card (WS-X6582-2PA) in that switch. the opmanager doesnot detecting the Flexiwan interface.
Can you create a custom catagory?
I find that the default categories are too restrictive, can you add a custom category? We have some items to monitor that do not fit into the existing categories, ie desktop, server, URL etc, can we add a custom category say PLC or SCADA etc to better classify our network.
Customize Snapshot view
Hi, How do I customize the snapshot view? I created a new categroy for metered PDU's and now I would like to have the matching graphs next to in in the snapshot view. But it comes up with the same Gauges then a UPS - and they do not exist on the PDU's. Cheers Andre
can only log on to opmanager fron the server
I have opmanager running on a 2003 server and i can use the web interface to access opmanager fine. but when i try to log on using my xp desktop it just says page cannot be displayed. this worked before. I'm not sure if there is a serice that needs to be running or what is going on. any help would be appreciated.
moving OpManager front end to a new server
Hi, We're in the process of decommissioning a server that OpManager's front end is currently running on. The MSSQL database that it connects to will stay on the same separate server as it is presently. I've installed OpManager with the same version/build on our new server but when I try to enter the host name and login details of the existing MSSQL DB it says it already exists; so presumably the wizard is trying to create a new database from scratch. router missing in report
Hello, i have created a business map with 31 routers inside. When i run a schedule report on this map i get only 24 routers. When i run a report like Top 100 Routers by Rx Utilization i get on 27 routers. Could you please help me having all routers display on the report as i need to provide KPI to my CIO. Thx a lot.

sysuptime events creating false criticals
Hi, Support seem to be stumped on this one so i'm hoping someone out there has managed to fix this problem. We have about 100 Cisco switches each only monitoring 1 or 2 Gigabit trunk ports and the switch itself. Server listings - 2 problems
We have two problems in OpManager. 1. Two Windows 2003 servers, similar hardware. SNMP is enabled and running on both servers. Credentials are all set up and the same on both servers and in OpManager. Monitors are default using SNMP for CPU, Memory, Disk. On one server SNMP passes the test and the monitors are showing data. Can't browse a manufacturer provided MIB in the MIB browser
I have saved an MIB provided by FortiNet, for one of their FortiGate units, to the MIB directory. It is recognized in the MIB list in the MIB Browser (aka it's a file in the mib directory), but when I select it, it will not load the list. I have taken a look at the MIB file itself, and it appears to be in proper syntax. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have a solution? I would like to monitor the free space on the D and E drives on one of my servers and have a nice pie graph to show the usage when I view the server. Adjusting Active Directory Template
Hi I am trying to adjust the thresholds on several of the Active Directory monitors. I now I can do it individually, but was wondering if there was a way to modify the actual template as I have over 30 Domain Controllers, and would like to keep them consistent. Loose data from backup and restore OPmanagerDB
I had some problem restoring OPmanager DB. So I download the trial, install it(version 7200). Add one switch and only one server. I make a backup; installing on another machine (same SO Windows 2003 SE) the trial. After I make a restore OPmanagerDB (start>manageEngine>DB manager>Data maintenance>>restore data) on the new machine. I open in the restored machine OPmanager, but I don't find Treshold Alert and Rearm Value from a Monitor Name: Disk Utilization

Hello, I have a problem in my Opmanager 7200 build. I have 50 devices in my Opmanager but i made a SNMP trap if an interface is going down. OpManager general health stats
I would like to see OpManager stats. Things like, polling queue, 100% of polls executed within the defined monitoring interval. Nagios has this and it is extemely useful in growth planning for the monitoring server itself. I have over 200 locations and multiple large sites, there is nothing (besides TOP cause I'm on Linux) that tells me how OpManager is doing. Maintanence Windows
We have maintenance windows setup for various task that we run because during these periods we do not want to receive alerts on specific machines. What we have noticed though is that once the window elapses, alerts are not generated if the issue stills exists. Is this a common functionality or something that can be fixed?
Migration
We recently purchased a license for OpManager and now need to move it from our Dev environment into our Production environment. This includes putting the app/web server onto a nice new VM and moving the DB to the SQL Cluster. We have already migrated the DB from MySQL to MSSQL.
