I Have PIX Cisco 501 and OpManager can't read Rx or Tx traffic from interfaces. I can rediscover interfaces and read CPU, Memory utilization ... SNMP credentials is OK ...

Daily: Unable to fetch Managed Object details for object
Hi, When I turn on our screens of Opmanager in the morning, a lot of pages of Internet Explorer show only this message: "unable to fetch Managed Object details for object: [Objectname]" This happens almost daily. When I manually refresh the page (F5) the correct information about the managed obect is displayed again. Do you have any idea what causes this? What can I do to prevent this from happening?
VoIP Monitoring Question
Hi, Setting up a VoIP monitor between two Cisco Routers on our WAN. Routers are Csico 7301 12.4 IOS. After setting up a Monitor ( SNMP Write Enabled on Main Router and IP SLA Monitor responder set on Destiniation) The Log file shows this message : Unable to configure Voip threshold traps,so OpManager won't generate any alerts for this monitor. Reason:MIB in the source device may be of older version. Can you advise what this refers to. Cheers.

Disk Utilization
I have searched the forums and knowledge base to resolve my issue but have not found any solutions. I am trying to implement Disk Utilization on my servers but it's not pulling the data. I have tried both the WMI and SNMP monitors but neither are working. I have check the credentials and verified I can talk via SNMP and WMI to the servers. I have spent the past week trying to get this, any help would be appreciated.
OpManager not discovering some Cisco devices properly
I'm having issues with Opmanager listed below: a) Discovers some Cisco devices as Desktops (eg. 3750 Switch, 2800 Router, 7200 Router, 6509 Switch). b) Does not graph switch/router CPU, backplane and memory usage properly for devices including ones identified as routers/switches. c) There is a mix of IOS's, ranging from IOS 12.2 to IOS 12.4. I have tested SNMP credentials to the devices and they work. I have added additional MIBs and performed a manual rediscovery of devices and they are still listed

High memory usage with OpManager and java.exe
I'm using OpManager v.7204 and java.exe is consistently using a very large of memory. What will happen, is after restarting OpManager, the memory usage on java.exe will start out low, as you would expect, then after approximately one week, it'll slowly increase, easily reaching 1.5GB of memory, and this on a server having 2GB total memory. We do have the monitoring intervals sat rather low, but we hate to increase this as OpManager's monitoring our production environment, which we need to respond
Object missing from Business View
Hi, I have a business view that contains my network devices. I have one device that does not appear on the view but I can mouse over the location where the device should be located and I see the popup and can click on it and jump to the device. Problem is I can't see the device at all in edit mode to remove it and modify the links to other devices. What is the fix for this? Thanks, Dan
The notification of Opmanager wrong!
I was try Opmanager V6. and 7. The alarm of Opmanager alway notification for any device whith message: "Device not responding: Probably down or busy " and then "Device Active and Responding " whith frequency equivalent of time. (image attach) while the device and network active nomarly. I don't know why! please help. Thanks

hi i keep getting my domain account locked out due to some setting on opmanager server i have checked all areas in the admin section and cannot see where i have set authentication using my domain username and password Any ideas anyone? thanks
OpManager does not pick up SMS Modem after server reboot
Hi Every time our OpManager server is rebooted, it does not automatically pick up the SMS modem (mobile phone). The resolution is simple - I go into Admin > SMS Server Settings and just click OK again (with COM port 1 selected). However, this is extremely frustrating and I'd like to be able to force OpManager to "re-scan" the device automatically before it tells me the device is down. Is this possible? Regards, Craig.

Installed OpManager 8 yesterday. Product looks nice so far. However, have found a few bugs: 1. In Internet Explorer 7, when deleting a large # of performance monitors, it will cause IE to open a blank page. Refreshing will usually fix this. This behavior does not occur in Firefox 3.x 2. Interface monitors seem to be intermittently having problems. Specifically, on various FastE and GigE interfaces on a Cisco 3550-48 switch it will "drop out". See attached screen shots. 3. Reporting on monitoring parameters for servers in OpManager

While monitoring servers, each servers might have different monitoring requirements. Vendor/Type: Sharp MX Copiers... Got MIBs? OIDs?
I see that Sharp is not listed as a vendor, and Sharp products are not presented as types. I have some Sharp MX series Copiers I'd like to be able to monitor. I've tried picking Lexmark Printers, and HP Printers but neither works correctly. Is there a workaround?
Free disk space only showing 7 days back
Any steps to diag this problem. Windows 2003 device. CPU showing back months. Other free disk monitors working for other other windows 2000 devices. Monitor should be showing back weeks if not months past that. Tried 30 days,90 days, custom range and custom date.
CPU Utilization Gauge Not Displayed for Cisco 4006 w/SupIII
Hello, I have added a Packetshaper 1550. For the CPU Utilization under Resource Monitors, I am using (SNMP OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2334.2.1.5.28) which answers correctly. But i can't figure out how to display this value on the CPU Utilization gauge on the snapshot screen. Is there a way to direct what monitor this gauge pulls it's info from?
Big PROBLEMS Mail Server Setting
Hi: I'm trying to set up Mail Server Setting in my OpManager, I wrote the IP address, FQDN, server name everything but always the program show me the same error (invalid server address, something like that). I have W2003 sp2 and MDaemon Mail Server, in my CMD I wrote telnet [IP address] 25 and 110 and both responding very well. Anybody knows what is the problem Regards
MS SQL & Quick Configuration Wizard
Hi, I'm testing OPmanager for monitoring some Windows server. Currently I need to add around 10 MS SQL server. I use the QCW to add the standard monitor without problem, but is there a way to do the same with the MS SQL Monitor? How to Export Opsmanager 6.0 Database to 7.0
I have 1 x server running Opsmanager 6 and 1 x server running Opsmanager 7. I want to move all monitored devices from Opsmanager 6 to Opsmanager 7. As I need to move 100 devices, anyone knows whether there is a more efficient way of directing exporting the database from version 6 Opsmanager into version 7 instead of manual key in again?
memoy utilization and disk cache
I am using the monitor "memory utilization" for a server Redhat Enterprise 4.0. The threshold of 70% continuously is exceeded even if the processes occupy only a minimal part of the memory because of the disk cache. Is it possible to use the monitor of the memory without to hold account of the disk cache? My Opmanager version: 7.2 build 7205
Current HTTP Connections
I am tryin to set up to display the current connections for the sites in IIS. I uploaded some .MIB files and am now monitoring currentConnections but its not monitoring individual sites. Maybe I need to refrain from using SNMP for this and go with WMI? My other monitors are all using SNMP. I've searched the discussion board and only found users to setup VBS to do this. I'm so lost... Opmanager - SQL Server cache hit ratio
Is it normal for a database(SQL SERVER 2005) has 100% cache hit ratio? The Opmanager shows an alert that the threshold is violated when the value 100%.. Any solution for reducing the cache hit ratio
NLB Cluster IP
I am using OpManager 7200 and trying to configure it monitor my 2 web servers. The web servers are load balanced. When I discover the servers, OpManager is using the load balanced IP for the interface. When I discover it on server 1, it adds it to server 1, when I discover it on server 2, the interface disappears from server 1 and moves to server 2, and vice-versa. I read in a post from 2005 that this issue was going to be fixed in a future version with the ability to manually add/override each interface.
Some "magic" with OpManager 7502
We are trying OpManager 7502 w/MySQL db so we found some magic devices in our network: 1) Strange server - it has no Network interfaces after Discovery. After pressing Rediscover on Interfaces tab it SHOW TWO ACTIVE NICs, after pressing Add OpManager says "added successfuly" but after that there is still no Interfaces on this server. If we DELETE this whole server from OpManager we cannot add it back again not via IP address, not via it's name. OpManager says "added successfully" but no server appears

Login Issues
I recently updated to the newest service pack of OpManager now my remote clients can not log in. It re-populates the user name and password and will not allow them to log in. If I go to the server that OpManager is installed on it will allow me to log on right away. Anyone seen this? What is the cause and the solution to fix this?
Logging out without stopping the server?
The server runs on a Linux system. It starts up on reboot, but sometimes we have to login and shut the server down and restart it. I've tried using the init.d/opmanager script that you guys gave me, and also /OpManager/bin/StartOpManagerServer.sh & . Either way, when I log out, I get Internal Server Error, which means httpd is still running, but something else is dead. Shouldn't it daemonize?

7205 Upgrade Concerns/questions
Support I am currently on Build 7102. 1) Can I just apply the 7205 Hot Fix or do I have to apply the other builds/hot fixes first? 2) I noticed a few other have had a problem with upgrading this new Hot Fix and I am concerned and am wondering if these issues of the Blank Screen "ERROR" message has been addressed. 3) If I have problems with this can I restore back to 7102? Please let me know as soon as you can. I plan on doing this upgrade in 1 week. Thanks for your time and assistance in this matter.
