Hi, I have the two widgets "Volumes with least/most disk usage" and they are both empty. All my servers have the disk usage monitors on them.
Issues with V8 upgrade
Upgraded to V8 which has cool features. However still experiencing below problem everytime I rebooted the OpManager server: 1. I have to execute the startopmanagerserver.bat at command prompt in order for my OpManager to work properly, even though the ManageEngineOpManager and ManageEngineOpManager Apache services already started automatically after the reboot. 2. Because of the above problem too, I have to keep changing the PORT number using ChangeWebServerPort.bat because it keeps saying the existing
Opmanager 8 Real time graphs
I've upgraded from opmanager v7 to v8. I can't find the link for Real time graphs in the devices. Are they in the same place as the beta? I had them there.

hi, Supporter, I am using OP7205, I can not change the vendor type. I tried to change it from Unknow to Microsoft, the page will refresh once, then i got "Field values are successfully updated to the database" but that option value still is "unknow" I can change it successful before, I have enalbed SNMP service, this device can not automatic update although I try to run "Rediscover Now" Win 2003+OP 7205+SQL2000. Availability Reports
For a while now, I have not been able to get reports on Availability. I run the report and it just comes up blank. I have ran a dbrepair and the results are still the same. This used to work, but for some reason quit a while back. Any ideas?
Customized Infrastructure widget
Hi, Is there a way to edit the infrastructure snapshot. I would like to move some of the devices down to the bottom and the more important customized catergories to the top? Can it be done?
Need help on CPU Dial
Hi, I've installed your free product opmanager v.8, install it on centos5.2 and rhel 4.6. All has common problems. the CPU dial is not working, it says no data available. I've followed the link to test wether the test works, and via mib browser also works, I've also editted the opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml to no avail. What can I do to make it work? btw I'm using linux agent, all other dial is working correctly. Please help and thanks

Moving Opmanager Database From SQL2000 to a SQL 2005 server
Hi, does anyone have any documentation on this, I copied the DB to the new server setup a new admin account and gave it sysadmin role to test. I ran the DBconfiguration.bat file and changed the info in ti to point to the new server and credentials. however the apache service starts but the opmanger one fails. I look in the log file and has a sql connection error and a heap of java VM errors. As far as i can see my SQL setup is fine and user and login i created is ok. see part of the log excerpt below,
Unable to add all ports in OpManager 8
When rediscovering interfaces on 3com 5500G-EI switches, all the ports are displayed during rediscovery, but when selecting all the ports and clicking add, nothing happens. Only a portion of the ports are being displayed under the interfaces tab. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(e.g: availability report based on business view not working now) Upon AdventNet's advice we are considering moving to enterprise edition. this is relatively a new product and we would like to know user experience with it. Is there any customers in this forum using the enterprise edition already? and what are your impressions on this

Creating customised reports
Hi From the Reports tab, I can create the standard reports (Volumes with least free space, servers disk usage report etc), but what I'd like to be able to do is define my own reports. For example rather than producing a report showing volumes with the least free space (which currently gives it in MB), I'd like to create a report showing volumes with the least percentage free space, as this is of far more value to me than in MB. Is there a way to do this, either within OpManager, or by creating xml
SSH and HTTPS for tools
I have just upgraded to opmanager 8 and have a question. I there any way to change the tools icon for telnet on the snapshot page to use SSH when using telnet and the browse icon for HTTP to use HTTPS? As always thanks for any and all help.

Unable to add Backround Image to Business View

OpManager 8 startup issues due to McAfee Virus scan
Hi All, If you are have OpManager 8 with McAfee running on the same server, then you will face some issues with starting OpManager, because McAfee doesn't allow MySQL to start. A simple way to fix would be to disable McAfee during startup and once OpManager starts, you can enable McAfee and exclude the OpManager folder from scanning. Can an Alarm Message be Customized
I'd like to customize the Alarm messages to include additional information for the technicians. I see variables such as $MONITOR and $UNITS but I can't find a listing of these variables in the documentation. Can any text be entered into the Alarm Message text box? Loading new MIBS
Hi All, We have a IBM3310 Tape Library which we would like to monitor through OpManager. I opened up a support call with IBM for the MIBS and they could only provide the MIBS in a documented pdf. Eventlog Status Clear Notification
Hello, in the eventlog rules there is a rule that called "Created printer". I use this rule to get the information that a printer was installed on this device. I get an alarm that the severity of this device is "Attention" and also i get a email notification. Now I must clear the alarm that the status of this device will go back to normal, but we don't want do that, because the installation of a printer are no error. So I changed the severity from Attention to Clear. After this change I get no email

SNMP Custom Monitors : available functions
I'm using OpManagerEE, latest service pack and am trying to create a custom monitor for Cisco's WLC devices, specifically the number of rogue access points. I found the necessary mib (AIRESPACE-WIRELESS-MIB) and its dependencies but the closest information I get is a SNMP table that contains information for each of these APs. Deleting a device that not exist

ERROR CODE: 485 Invalid License File
I had installed OpManager 8 on Red Hat Linux using the Professional Trial. My 30 days have passed but I now have purchased a license to use. I have the License.xml file but I do not know where to put it. The first time I attempted to restart the server after the trial expired it asked about the location of the license file which I did not have yet. Now when I attempt to start the server I get this error. ERROR CODE : 485 Invalid License File Any suggestions?
High Page faults from java.exe
Receiving high page faults on my Op-Manager Build 7205 server from java.exe. Java wasn't installed before the install of Op-Manager so i guess Op-Manager uses it. If the server is not shutdown every few days the server will crash due to low resources. After server comes on line with in 1-2 hours there are about 1,500,000k Page Faults and if left will reach 90,000,000K within 2 days. Has any one had this problem before?
How to compare devices
hello, I've many ups in use. OPManager correctly read out many values from the ups, like Load, output voltage, serial of device and management card and so on. But how can I compare all ups? I will get a matrix of all ups in OPManager with all values OPManager could read out. So I can see which ups needs a firmware upgrade, witch ups has which IP and so on in one matrx. Not by clicking from ups to ups ... The report function is realy ... unusable. I coultn't see any sence in this function ... because
Problems changing IP
Hello, when I change the IP of any device, everytime OPManager forgot the new IP after service restart and lists the device with old IP. Is this a bug or how to change IP? Thanks wafan
OPmanager not showing incomming traffic
I am trying to monitor cisco switches with opmanager. But it is not showing incomming traffic in my cisco switch port (interfaces). It is showing outgoing traffic with no problem. But incomming always shows zero values. What could be the problems.
