Unable to add snmp strings
Got an unusual problem, Trying to add community strings to a Cisco 6506 IOS based switch in Opmanger, and keep getting an error saying that the snmp strings failed (these are common to a whole bunch of switches), no errors for failed snmp on the actual switch logs. So on another server I installed the "free" version of Opmanager and using cut and paste added the community strings no trouble at all !!. So what is wrong with our fully registered version then ? bug fixes versus news features in Opmanager
Hi Opmanager team, I'd like to complement you on the value and features you've got in your product. Unfortunately, I seem to spend a lot of time babysitting it due to buggy behaviors. For example, right now I've got 2 cases open due to problems that I think were created due to weak or missing field validation. And there are many other issues I've just worked around on my own. (running 8007 on RedHat) I would recommend your developers slow down on the new features and spend more time on bug fixes.
Problem of generating scheduled report

How about some "real" user forums
So exactly how much of a "users forum" are actually about users when topics and postings are all filtered by the company? One of the primary benefits of open and collaborative environments is access to near real-time support and community driven collaboration. This benefit is simply lost when a user can post an urgent issue on a forum, and 3 days later it still doesn't appear on the forums. Very disappointing.
AIX SNMP Monitoring
I try to monitor an AIX 5 with SNMP, I have uploaded the mib for AIX, and I can test it with the MIB browser. URGENT : Distribution avalaibility issues
Hello, I migrated to OPManager 8 latest build 8006 After few days, distrubution avalability stopped to work, I can display last 24 hours, today and yesterday but others are not working e.g. last 7 days shows some data but not the 2 last days. Ongoing problems with entries NOT removed from DB
`Running OM 8007 on CentOS 5x and still have problems after trying to remove a device, and then not being able to re-add it since the software "believes" the interface already exists. These ongoing database corruption issues by many users clearly indicates an improperly designed DB. I have tried the script, RemoveDB this DOES not work. Tried to remove manually with the mysql approach listed elsewhere in these forums (mysql -u root -P 13306 OpManagerDB), but none of the suggstions work since the db
IP SLA monitors using Trial?
I am trying to setup some IP SLA monitors on a trial version and everytime I add one it does not show up under the device. When I go to all monitors it shows there are none configured but if I add another one it shows their status on the history page. Also since the monitor is not showing on the device how do I delete the ones I have created?

I'm fairly new to OpManager. Is there a way to set notifications by an alarm's severity? This would be expecially useful for SNMP trap alerts where some things are fairly important and others are more informational. Thanks! -dlm

Blank Page after installation OpM. Probe
Hi, I have a problem after OPM.7 Enterprise Probe installation. Once installed the Probe, I start the server (server manage engine) and then start the web client to perform the scan of the machines, the problem that when opening the web client the first time, the screen goes all white and does not generate some error. Already added the address of the web client address in trusted sites and Intranet trusted sites and already checked if the java plug-in is active, yet the screen remains blank.
Error! adding notification profile to devices.
I am working on migrating from version 7 running Linux to the version 8 Windows product of OpManager. So far the only problem I have is when I try to add any notification profile to any device. When I try the screen just says Error! I thought maybe the database was corrupt so I shut down OpManager and ran the RepairDB.bat and it showed everything was fine. Any ideas?

I am trying to set up SNMP trap monitoring for my APC UPS, but when I try to import the MIB I get the following error: Could not parse the file C:/ADVENT~1/OPMANA~1/./mibs/powernet395.mib. Cannot add a device properly
Okay, bit of a weird issue here. On Opmanager V8 build 8007 I am trying to add a Cisco 6506 IOS based switch. I supply the snmp credentials (which are common to a whole bunch of switches) and the host name , it comes back with some information that the device is "unknown" so I save it and try to add the snmp strings manually, it tells me that the device does not respond to snmp !!!. DATABASE ERROR very urgent
Hello, i m having very important problem with opmanager Version 7505 i have licenced it 1000 device. today i have had difficulty of adding a device , it was showing it is added and when i have tried to search it ..it says i have to add it again, so i have search the forum and find that it might be partialy added so i have used the script RemoveDBEntries.bat after that i have restared the opmanager but it wasnt. and it gave me error, when i try to login . and told me to run RepairDB.bat.

Process Monitors seem dependent upon PID
Hello, Windows and UNIX process monitors used to work where you could add them and when they went down and came back up, OpManager would record that they went down and came back up. Now, when a server is restarted (for example), the process monitors still show them as down when the processes are actually up. I am assuming this is because the process IDs changed. How to view associated Custom Monitors configured for a device via cli.
Hi, I had a custom monitor associated for 13 of my switches, i deleted the monitor through the UI but i am still getting alerts from the devices regarding this monitor. As i do not exactly recall the Monitor name, can i search the mysql database to see what monitors are attached to each device, allowing me then to delete them via the cli.Cheers.

hi, I was wondering not sure if this is a repost, will their be an expandition on the business view editor. It is become more of a pain to make BVs since some of my device name is to long to read. It use to be easier to do it Opmanager 6 when you used map maker to search by ip and add the device and able to rename a business view. When you have a typo and have added quite a bit to the map. Its just time consuming to redo it.

Availability Report - v8007 Still Has Problems with Time Windows
We can only create availability reports using a 24hr time window with periods specified as "This week", Last week", "This month", "Last month", "Last 7", "Last 30". If we specify any other time window we get the error "Data not available for the selected period.Please select a different period" Wasn't this supposed to be corrected in 8007?
