Unresolved OIDs
Hi! When I receive an alarm from my ESX Server the OIDs are not resolved. I always get a message like this: "Trap received from <device> with SNMP Varbinds .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.50.101: <vmwVmID>, .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.50.102: <vmwVmConfigFilePath>" When I go to the MIB Browser and look for the MIB "VMWARE-VMINFO-MIB.mib" I get the two nodes with those OIDs -> the ids exist and are included. Why OpManager doesn't resolve them in the alarm message? Kind regards, Mok

db backup issues
I've been trying to backup OpManager 8 so it could be set up on a new server, but when attempting to run the db backup script, I get a series of warnings and java errors. URGENT : After 8007 upgrade issue with licences
Hi After upgrade to 8007 which is latest hotfix patches, My Opmanager 8 is showing Your current license doesn't support to view SLA widgets IT was working fine before. I'm running OPManager version 8 Premium Edition Please advise as sson as possible as Management is using these dashbords to look the availability for our systems. Does anyone know how I can monitor % Disk Time on a HP Server running MS Windows 2003? I can not find this counter anywhere, is there some add-in that I need to run to add this counter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Matt
ARCserve SNMP Trap
Hi, we use CA ARCserve Backup and OpManager 8. We send SNMP Traps through the ARCserve Alarm Module, but the Traps doesnt´t appear in OpManager. Does anybody know where to get the CA ARCserve MIB or to monitor the traps otherwise? Thanks!

Integrating opmanager & servicedesk cyrllic problem
Hi, Ok i have latest OpManager & ServiceDesk No problem with integration of this two products, but ... When adding Log a Ticket Profile, if fields Category, Priority, Technician contains a russian (cyrillic) characters from Service Desk it displays it as "?????? ??????" and a like. So i think it`s a encoding problem in OpManager because in SD it`s all fine and smooth. Can you suggest anything? Thx

Hello, I am monitoring a few devices running Gentoo Linux. OpManager is running on Centos5.3. OpManager is sending snmp queries to some of my devices every other second constantly. It looks like it is from the hostresouces mib hrSWRunTable. Any ideas on why this is constantly running in a loop? I am not monitoring any processes on my servers. Exchange 2007
I've added a couple servers that run Exchange 2007, but OpManager doesn't apply any Exchange monitoring templates for that server (Like AD or SQL). Am I missing a step? Thanks Shaun
Ongoing "Interface with this IP already exists" issue
Running opmanager build 8007 on RHEL 5x As a database developer, I cant imagine any other reason for these repeated database corruption issues when deleting/adding devices, other than an improperly designed database. Anyway, cant add a new device which was supposed to have been removed previously. Have also run the RemoveDB script and restarted and rebooted. No effect. Noticed someone has now posted the manual prcoess by deleting in the db which I prefer anyway, but I guess since the post and the

SNMP Version for BulkData custom monitors
Hi, I have an Enterprise MIB that I need to setup for custom polling of CPU utlisation snapshots (5sec and 30sec) The trouble seems to be that when entering in the OID (which is a V2c MIB) OpManager only polls with version1 Is there way to dictate which version is used (via a config file maybe) ?? Top Ten Report Question
8007 on Windows 2003 server - In my dashboard I have a top 10 CPU utilization widget and a top 10 memory usage widget. For some reason in looking at that dashboard today I noticed that the top 10 data is no longer displayed. However, as long as the specified period for the widget is anything but today, 24 hour, or 12 hour it will display graphical data. My questions is why is data suddenly not available for those periods? I assume this data is developed through the reporting tool as it exhibits

Hi, I'm curious if there is a way to add your own background to a business view. How to create an own Report for Disk Size
Hi Folks, I am using the OpManager and now I want to try to find out how much Disk Space on the Servers is used. There is already an prepared Monitor for that but this one did not show the correct size (because 4,95 GB are 4.0 GB for the OpManager) and I need that for billing purposes and 1 GB make a difference ! Map display not listing servers / Missing devices
I have just done a complete fresh install of OpManager 8 with a new SQL2005 database both running on Server 2003. After adding a new device (either by auto discovery or manually adding) it does not display on the Map tab, but does on the list view. When clicking on said device from the list view I then get the error: Unable to find the object: <server.domain>

WMI Poblems
Good Day I`m getting problems with some of the wmi monitors with opmanager 8 I have added a device, we using SNMP. But we need to monitor the Processor Queue Length, the pages per second and disk queue length. I have added those monitors but if I do a test it fails with no respond. Attention alert will not clear
I just upgraded to OpManager8 from OpManager6 and everything seems to be good except an attention alert on two of the servers. It said that it missed one poll but it they are configured to trigger a critical alert after one missed poll. It has been 24 hrs and the two servers have till not cleared the Attention alert. I have looked but I can't find a way to clear these alerts. Don't know if I can't find it in this new version of if there is an issue with these two hosts. They where fine after the

Time Stamps of Alarms
From a device snapshot page, the Show Alarms action gives a list of the devices alarms sorted by date. However the date / time for many alarms is not correct. What is shown is when the alarm was CLEARED, not when it actually occurred. Many alarms such as 'interface down' are cleared manually after reviewing, and the database should retain the original fault time. Why does it record the time it was cleared? Norbert
Problem Adding 64Bit Linux
Problem Adding 64bit Linux - RHEL4.7. I've done it in auto discovery and manually add it via the Add Device but all are successful with no error however the new addedd devices cannot be seen on the server list nor desktop list. Please help. were currently evaluating OPManager. I have a App Manager and had no problem with this 64 bit server. I can see thier CPU, Memory, Disk, etc... but not in OPManager.
