I've noticed Opmanager recognizes my port descritions when I first add a switch. I've yet to figure out how get Opmanager to recognize that I've changed a port description. I've tried performing a rediscovery on the Interfaces tab, but this procedure indicates that no changes have been made. Thanks,

Dear all, I use OpManger without the VmWare & MSSQL options, I have downloaded the last version because I would like to test these options. Vmware : When I try to add Virtual host, I have this error message : An error occurred during the discovery of ESX. Contact support@opmanager.com MSSQL : when I add a new server with MSSQL 2005, OpManager doesn't detect MS SQL. In the forum I saw that SQLserverAgent must be started but I haven't this service in Windows services. I have created snmp & WMI credentials
Upgrade to 8720 Broke GUI
Recently upgraded to OM 8720. The upgrade seemed to work fine but now there are no links across the top to the other sections of OM? Its juts blank, no "Intro", "Dashboard", "Maps", "Alarms", "Admin", or "Reports? Server is Centos 5.5x

OP Manager Disk Utilization Worng Information
Hi , I have OPM , with build number 8050 . I noticed that the in snapshot dial , the Disk Utilization information is wrong in both the graph and even in the monitor itself . I tried to make a new custom SNMP monitor to Monitor Disk Utilization and I used the same OID of the original one , but I got totally different results , I had a table of multiple values. can you please help me on that Thank you

ESXi monitoring?
Is there a way to monitor an embedded ESX server? It doesn't seem to be possible, and frankly I am surprised I have not seen the question asked here. One of the reasons we bought OpManager was because of the ability to monitor ESX servers. Just so nobody is confused, I am talking about the ESX hypervisor that is it's own OS, not running on Windows. Please advise if this is possible or not. Rob
automated network mapping?
Hi, Are any of the opmanager products able to create a physical layer network map (visio style)? I've been looking for solutions and i've found plenty of logical map creators but only two physical maps (ciscos network assistant, but its limited to 50 devices and a product by codimatech). It would be nice to have something that plugs into opmanager and draws the business views. If there is no managenengine solution could anyone suggest an alternative? thanks. Matt
Can OpManager to "auto-layout" of all devices?
I am evaluating OpManager and I really like the product for many reasons. I just find it extremely cumbersome to draw all the maps myself. The network that I need to manage is relatively small WAN and large campus LAN. The LAN component with 100+ servers takes forever to "map" ... Am I missing something? I want to migrate Opmanager to a new server. I want to backup the settings from the old server, but not all the data. I've used the DB backup utility in Opmanager, but i dont need everything. Is there a way to backup only settings and reload on a new server?
Change port that traps are received on in OpManager 8
I recently had a problem with OpManager and in the end, had to shut it down, repair the DB, start and start it back up. When it started back up, it worked fine except I got this error: Port 162 needed for receiving traps has beed occupied. Please free the port. We only have a trial of opmanager right now, so the other program we are using for network monitoring is currently using port 162, but it can forward the traps to another port. So I am wondering if there is a way to change the port that
No Data Gathered in Availability Report
Hi, Would like to refer a problem we've just encountered in OpManager. Last July 3, 2010 we we're still able to received Availabilty Report for selected devices. But on July 4 and July 5, the report were no longer able to gather availability of these devices. The report was sent with no data in it. Your assistance is very much needed. Thanks in advance.

Refresh interval time on widget
I want to set refresh interval time on all widget now only real time widget can set it I know Opmanager have a CCTV feature but when CCTV change dashboard widget will refresh but the real time widget will clear previous data and start plot graph again. If you can make it the Opmanager dashboard will be perfect dashboard.
Removing a counter from multiple devices
I've never had to do this before, and am slightly nervous to experiment based on the number of devices in our system. We have a counter that stopped working on all of our monitored servers. I've found that removing the counter and then re-adding what appears to be the same thing makes it function correctly. Is there a way to ignore interface types? I have several VLANs that are being matched as an Ethernet interface at 1gbps so the thresholds alert. I'd like to ignore the VLAN interfaces and just gather data on physical interfaces. For thresholding as well.

Hi, In this new version, the widget "Last Polled Bandwidth Utilization Value" show now in the top menu a new line: "Last polled Bandwith utilization value for (interface_name)". I have some problems with monitoring the VMWare ESXi servers. I did the following things: VMWare Esxi - Enabled SSH - Enabled SNMP + String + Agent started OPManager - Imported the ESXi machine. - Tested SNMP credentials (working ok!) - Tested Login credentials SSH (not working!) - Tested some SNMP monitoring (example: CPU Utilization, not working!) OpManager-8 VoIP Monitor help needed
We have OpManager8 build 8052 and I have some questions regarding VoIP Monitor. I setup some monitors (one through an MPLS network and another via IPSEC tunnel) that work fine but when I configure additional monitors configured the same way for additional MPLS and IPSEC tunnel sits they do not collect data. Whe I click on the "Troubleshoot" link I do see that the SNMP creds and source router are green and successful.

Am I missing the obvious here? I don't see any discussion on enabling HTTPS logins for OpManager, yet I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Under SDP I'd use the changewebport tool and do port_number https, but this doesn't seem to work with OpManager. The sad thing is I've done it before and forgotten what I did. Quick pointer anyone?
