Add Notification Profile Variable
We currently have a Custom Property Field added to devices that we have to manually add a list of email recipients. But, there should be a notification profile variable for the Device called "assigned notification profiles" or the like that can automatically include the notification profiles (see screenshots). This ensures that anyone receiving the email will know the other groups that also received the email. Notification Profile Variables Assigned profiles
Remove "WID" SQL Instance
We have a server with both a "MICROSOFT##WID" instance and a named instance. We don't care to monitor the WID instance at all. We've totally removed all the monitors for the WID instance, but we still have to manually select the named instance every time we go to that server. Is there a way to totally remove the WID instance, and just have OpManager pay attention to the named instance? (No more drop-down list where we have to select between them.) Thanks!
Exchange 2019 support
We have Exchange 2019, which is almost supported by the current build of OpManager (12.4.103). The biggest issue seems to be the Exchange Service Monitor "Microsoft Exchange Monitoring," which was looking for a different service in older versions, but has been replaced by "Microsoft Exchange Diagnostics" in Exchange 2019 ---- I believe. So, what I'd like to do is point the monitor "Microsoft Exchange Monitoring" to watch the service "Microsoft Exchange Diagnostics" (Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.Service.exe).
SNMP Traps not received by OpManager
Hello, I have issues with receiving traps in OpManager as no traps are currently displayed in OpManager v12.2. OpManager is installed on a Linux Centos 7 server. The following debugging steps has been taken: 1) A tcpdump on port 162 on the server running OpManager shows that the traps are being received correctly through the port so no issues with Firewalls 2) All devices are set with the correct credentials. 3) Trap definitions has been loaded through the mib files and enabled through the GUI.
Tomcat Vulnerability?
Good morning, is the OPManager software vulnerable to the Tomcat exploit in the link below? https://www.cisecurity.org/advisory/a-vulnerability-in-apache-tomcat-could-allow-for-arbitrary-file-reading-cve-2020-1938_2020-028/
DFS-R Backlog monitoring
I was hoping that "Replication Objects Remaining" would be the monitor to help watch DFS-R backlog, but that graph never twitches, no matter how much is sitting in the queue. I've googled the WMI behind it, and I'm still uncertain what exactly that is supposed to be monitoring... but it's definitely not the backlog. So, does anyone know of a way to get OpManager watching a server's DFS-R backlog? Thanks
MSSQL Monitors - select which databases to monitor?
Some of the monitors for MSSQL monitor the databases. For example, "Database Files Size" and "Log Files Used Percentage". However, on many of our SQL servers, we have important databases that need to be monitored, and then other databases where we couldn't care less if we're hitting 100% log usage. In fact, some of these low-importance databases are for read-only access with their logs shrunk and never expected to grow, so a 100% log usage on a 5MB log is just fine. We don't need to monitor that
Change default authtype for OpManager Login Screen
Is it possible to default the authtype on the login page of OpManager to be the domain name versus Local Authentication? It is a pain to have to change that every time a user logs in.
Mobile App Alerts
I hate having my phone chirp at me for minor issues, such at an Interface going up or down on a switch. 99.9% of the time, these are not actually issues (though I still appreciate them being logged). If it were an issue, I'd be getting an alarm that said a server was not available, etc etc. From my reading, I understand that OpManager is setting Interface Down events as a "Trouble" event. Is it possible to configure the mobile app in android to only alarm for Critical events?
OpManager installation MSSQL Host name or port number is incorrect
MSSQL 2017 was installed in Windows Server 2016. OpManager is now installing in the same server. An SQL Server local account was created - named "opm". Confirm can login through SQL Management Studio. At the stage of "Select the backend database for OpManager". Choose "SQL Authentication" Host name is <the_computer_name> Port is 1433 Database name is OpManagerDB User name is opm Password is <the_password_of_opm> After click "Next". Shows "Host name or port number is incorrect". Already tried input
Business View - Add snap-to-grid or auto-layout option
In business views that have a lot of elements, it would be good to have better layout options. Simple ones like a snap-to-grid button, or automatic dispersion of elements would be helpful. The ability to quickl select a large number of elements would also be useful instead of clicking each one (such as a drag-to-select).
DHCP Scope Monitor - Don't alert on disabled scopes
Under Tools -> Address Monitoring -> DHCP Scope Monitoring I have added our DHCP servers. The problem is, it adds scopes that are currently disabled (though they will be enabled at some point) so "zero addresses are available". The DHCP Scope monitor should either NOT add disabled scopes OR not alert on disabled scopes especially if the size of the scope is zero:
Downloading OPmanager
Hello, I've downloaded OpManager from ManageEngine website, but during the installation I'm getting the attached error. Please advice. Regards,
Disable Specific Alarm on Device
Hi. We're getting an alarm for one of our switches saying that the current state is shutdown for a power supply that doesn't exist (we only have 1 not 2 on the switch). I've been having a look at seeing whether we can remove this specific alarm for this specific device but it doesn't seem that this can be easily done. Any ideas would be appreciated!
URL Monitors and Notification Profile Synergy
We just missed a URL down notification because the user experience of setting up a notification profile for URL monitor issues is confusing. It turns out you have to specify the Notification Profile in the URL Monitor AND check the box in the Notification Profile to notify if ANY URL DOWN. In a URL Monitor, there is a section that says "Notification Profile (Optional)" (see screenshot). This would be understandable by itself, but if you take into account a notification profile says to notify if ANY
Rest Api TestMonitor
Hello. After updating the opmanager to version 12.4.079, rest api does not work. Namely, the test monitor method. (http://SERVERNAME/api/json/device/TestMonitor?apiKey=KEY&policyName=SystemUpTime.&graphName=SystemUpTime.&name=DEVICENAME) Error message "Invalid request method." errorcode "INVALID_METHOD"
Global Performance Monitor Thresholds?
Inexperienced OpManager here. Where do I go to modify a global threshold for a monitor? For example, monitoring a switch, it's constantly raising alarms on discard rates. I'd like to raise the discard rate threshold above 1% for a large swath of ports all at once. (For that matter, I can't even see how to do set that on the switch's ports individually...) Thanks in advance!
how can remove all recent alarms

vCenter / ESXi Monitoring
Hi Team, I have below requirement. I am tasked with hardware monitoring for VMware. 1. vCenter 2. Multiple ESXi hosts Requirement: 1. I would like to monitor hardware & host OS performance. 2. I am not bothered about Guest VMs. Questions: 1. If i discover vCenter/ESXi, the guest VMs will be automatically discovered. In this case how do i go about licensing? 2. How OPM licensing works with vCenter discovery? 3. What are the OPM requirements to discover vCenter/ESXi (like the vCenter / ESXi version)?
Groups - Health of group should be based on percentage or fraction
Right now the health of a group is based on a static selection of hosts. If one purpose of groups is to provide business service health of a cluster of servers, I shouldn't have to designate specific servers as health indicators. If I have a server farm of 9 servers, and 2 servers are down, technically the business services provided by that farm are still functional but the farm requires someone's attention or action. I should be able to set a percentage or fraction and use the same alert severities

It would be great to be able to report on custom monitors such as the Folder or File monitor. If we are monitoring a bunch of folders for a server farm, we could quickly get daily or weekly reports on the folder size or file counts of those folders.

Interface detection and SNMPv3
Hi, I've just found out, that for our Cisco-Switch (C3560E) interface detection only works when using SNMPv1/2. When I remove the device and re-add as SNMPv3 device, no interfaces are detected. Rediscovery doesn't work either. Will this be fixed with the upcoming patch? Regards G. Weiss

Hardware Monitoring
Hello, We are running opmanager v12.3.227 and we have added a new device recently (HP ProLiant 360 Gen9 running Windows server 2012r2) and we don't see the hardware monitoring tab. We have similar devices added before with the hardware monitoring tab. We have tried rediscover the device but it still doesn't appear. In settings we have the Monitor Hardware enabled. Could you help us? Thanks! Cristina
Discovery Profiles Moved to Discovery -> Profiles
Currently: Discovery Profiles do not contain a list of discovery profiles. Discovery profile is simply a "discovery" configuration. To get to an actual list of "Discovery Profiles" I have to click Discovery -> Reports -> Click Profiles. That doesn't make any sense. If I am doing the same discovery action when adding new systems, I should be able to save that profile for later use. I should also be able to "save as" a new profile from an existing profile. Finally, the "Add New Device" function
Device template query
Hello Team, I couldn't understand the complete functionality of device template in OP manager when we discover the device then on monitor tab we add the the monitoring for which alert has to be generated. Now when we add the monitor manually in device during on-boarding process then what is the use of device template in this case. Can you pls brief or clarify the doubt. Thanks, Manish
Cancel of Edit Tab takes you back to dashboard
Hello, I am running into a minor nuisance with the new Edit Tab button. When attempting to click on the Green triple line box for a device, I am accidentally hovering over the triple dot button just above it, which caused the menu to drop down over the green button. I then inadvertently click on the edit tab selection. Once this is on screen I click No as I didn't want to go there, but then the page refreshes and takes me back to the main dashboard. I then have to navigate back to the device I was
