OpManager Dashboard
Has anyone created any custom dashboards that utilise data from OpManager that they would be willing to share? Screenshots would be great! We are entertaining creating our own html dashboard that uses BizTalk to query the OpManager data and also embed OpManager widgets.
Unable to list the servers in Opmanager .My prob is not listed in central server
Hi , We have 2 prob and 1 central server. My one of the prob was down on last month .But my opmanger working fine using the one of the prob. now my another prob also down .prob also working fine and central server (web server ) also working fine. Now the issues was all of my server was not shows in opmanger .
Switch Interface shows 0% availability even though its up and showing traffic
I've got a Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch where some of the interfaces show as down when they are not. All of the traffic graphs show traffic (and the user is working fine) but the availability graph shows 0%. Other interfaces on this same switch work fine. It seems to be random as to which show available and which have this issue. Running OpManager 8811 on Win2K3 32-bit

Hi All, Can i propose that you have a link in your reports pages that shows the SQL that is executed to generate the report ? This will make is 100x easier to create custom reports from the back end database.

Temperature display
Hi, I'm fairly new to Op Manager and i've been requested to try to put a display of what our current server room's temperature is into one of our maps. We have three APC probes and ideally, all three would display. Currently, we get notifications when the temperature has gone passed treshold, but it would be nice to be able to tell from first glance what the current temperature(s) current is. Time stamp on page
Is there an option, or a file I could modify that would allow me to have a time stamp at the top of the page. The reason being is I have the automatic refresh set to every 10 minutes and the monitoring set to poll every 5 minutes. I would like to be able to tell the last time the machine was polled and the last time the page was refreshed. Thanks, Jenn

Removing Alarms from OpManager
Hello, I am testing the OpManager and I have setup some dummy alarms. These have now worked but I do not seem to be able to delete these and they are generating more than 400 a day. Can anybody help a newbie to this product? Thanks, Michael

Hi, We having a problem in CLI on CISCO 2960 switch, because under change password menu there is no login Detail, the menu is Use this SNMP credential. Number of alerts
Hi, if a device is down, i get sms to my mobile (email 2 sms)... but i get 1 sms and that is it. Is there a way to configure OPmanager to send you an alert every 5 minutes untill alarm is cleared? i have thought about setting up the escalation to achieve that but you cannot configure the paramaters in the escalation... and it it a bit confusing... thank you, Levy
Url monitors gives false positives
We have an OpManager with a server that has 16 URL monitors configured (bound to a specific server). We recieve a lot of false positives with the message "Host unavailable" although I have verified using debug-logging on the DNS-server that the actual lookup is successful. When looking in the log (opmanager_serverOut1.txt), I see a lot of these lines: 19:23:52:256 ServerOut: http://www.host1.com Host Unavailable Connection refused 19:23:52:256 ServerOut: http://www.host1.com Response for url http://www.host1.com
Changing snmp precision
We recently purchased some Inrow cooling solutions from APC. Since there was no device template in OpManager i created a new one after downloading the MIBs from APC. When I setup some bulk monitors i noticed that the values output as a 1/10 of a kW or 1/10 deg Cel. This makes the monitor confusing, is there any way to do simple maths on the returned value such as snmp value / 10 to get the actual kW ? thanks Chris

Does displaying multiple real time traffic widget on the dashboard 24x7 creates network congestion?
I'm thinking to create a dashboard with multiple real time traffic widget to monitor some of our servers and have the dashboard display on 24x7. Does that create network congestion or slow the devices that I'm monitoring?
Notification profile for multiple, but not single failures?
Is there potentially a way to configure a "run program" notification profile to cover three devices, only triggering if all three are unreachable and not triggering if only one or two are down? My aim is to monitor a server's connection to the internet (the server on which OpManager is installed and which is managed remotely) by monitoring three outside IP addresses, classing it as internet failure when all three are unreachable and not just when one of the outside devices are unreachable... OpManager 8 can't email distribution list?
Hi all, I have OpManager 8 configured to email me when a device I'm monitoring stops responding, and that works perfectly. When I go to the notification profile and tell it to send a test email, the email arrives immediately. I just had our Exchange admin create a distribution list or distribution group so that I can email more than one person when a node goes down, and when I try to email that group from OpManager, the email does not go through, even though it announces that the email was sent
Folder Monitoring on Localhost Not Working
I am starting off of a clean database on version 8723. I add in the "localhost" (Windows XP Type) as one of the devices and try to associate a folder monitor to it. However, no matter how I set up the folder monitor I do not get any information or alarms. Then after playing with it for a while, I start getting an error saying that I need to configure the credentials for the device, but since it is the localhost I cannot. If I delete and re-add the localhost this message goes away, but I am still
Cisco ASA interface graph not showing
I have configured to monitor Cisco ASA firewall with SNMP polling. I can see the cpu, active connection and availability but I cannot see the interface graph. it is currently blank. what do i need to configure to see the interface traffic in Opmanager. SNMP RO string is tested okay.

Historical reports not working
Hello, We have latest OpManager 8011 running on SQL Server 2008 R2. We recently discovered that historical reports are not working. We had a problem with database running out of space, but OpManager did not complain. The problem with database was recovere one week ago, still not even same day data is being reported. Checking the database tables, we see STATSDATA<date>, ElementAvailabilityDaily and Hourly all full of data. Appreciate help on seeing what is wrong. Thank, Jalal

Hi there, I´m running OPmanager 8 and all of a sudden it does not work, can´t log in saying Oops .... run RepairDB.bat to... but that doesnt work either. I´m also running McAfee on all our servers and it seems that the McAfee client is doing something with the OPmanager server... I stop the McAfee, close the server, runs RepairDB.bat, starts the server and it is all working again.. I dont know what to do in the McAfee to go around this, but the investigation continues ;) //Magnus
Network Configuration Management
Hello I have installed the NCM Plugin (trial version) in my Opmanager 8. (build 8811). Installation was OK. I get the "Network Configuration Management" tab on top of OpManager, but when I click it I only get a page saying "[!] Sorry, the page you requested was not found" Any help will be appreciate. User activity level logging/auditing in opmanager
there is no User activity level logging/auditing available in opmanager which is a big security hole. if somebody made changes you can't investigate who that kulprit was. and the weired thing you can not delegate admins according to infrastructure view mean admin will be admin for all devices like servers, routers, firewall etc.

Traceroute from OpManager
Hello, How do I enable traceroute service on OpManager? When I try the traceroute from the GUI, it asks me to specify the traceroute service path in /conf/Ping.Properties file. I have already done that as below, but it still gives me the same message. tracePath=/bin/traceroute Do I need to restart OpManager service after this change?

Dear Team I need to know the list of reports which can be generated out of the box for each module. We can find what can be monitored on most of the module but what reports can be generated is not available unless you install and check yourself.
