availability report error
Hi all I'm testing opmanager 6016. In some firewall device, the today availability report and the Device response time value are not true: Device Response Time : NA Today packet loss: 14% today availability uptime: 100% In the device snapshot, if i try to configure the monitoring parameter or the device type parameter, opmanager give me an error popup. I already tried to delete and add the device. In attach the snapshot Please, give me a feedback

Probe registration problem
Hi, I am using Opmanager MSP 6003 with license for 25 probes. I have 24 Probes configured and working fine. When I tried to install the 25th probe it would not start. It just gets stuck on "Verifying communication with web server". I checked the wrapper.log and shows "waiting for registration from the central server". I tried running registerprobe.bat and to the following: C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\Probe\bin>registerprobe.bat Error in receiving data Connection refused: connect Error in receiving
opmanger will not work on a ping disabled network
so opmanger will not work on a ping disabled network rite? so it will be useless on a secured network with ping disabled, so what is the use of opsmanger in a secured network without ping? u cant monitor any network equipment even though it respond to snmp when will you guys resolve this?

TFTP Vulnerability
Hi all It seems that with Opmanager 6, a TFTP server is installed and running by default. Unfortunately, this TFTP server has several vulnerabilities, most importantly it can be tricked into allowing directory traversals. This is bad and there seems to be no straightforward way of turning it off. Please provide

URL Monitoring showing service down when its up
I'm using build 6016. I noticed that when i attempt to monitor a URL, like 22.22.22.22:12... the monitoring software shows that the service is down, reason: host unreachable. However, when i click on the URL in the software, it brings up the site. It will also bring up the site if i copy and paste the URL into a browser. I've tried increasing the timeout and adjusting the get;put functions... but nothing. The authentication information that i've entered (since the site requires a login) is also correct.

MSSQL 2005 Monitoring
I am running MSP version 6. I am trying to monitor MSSQL 2005, and am not able to do it. As far as I understand, SQL 2005 does not support SNMP, so I am not able to monitor via the SNMP monitor included..and there is no WMI monitor for the MSP version. Does that mean that I can not monitor SQL 2005?
Stacked graph and alerting based on total
I have added a new WMI monitor which captures the processor utilization breakdown (DPC, Interrupt, User, Privileged). Can I use the same monitor to display a stacked graph of the values and alert based off the total value (not the individual values)? Thanks, Colin
OpManager7 - MySQL Performance Tuning - Too Many Processes
I am running OpManager 7 Beta on CentOS Linux with 2 gigs of ram. When I execute top, I am stunned to see how many MySQL processes OpManager spawns. {See Screen Shot Below}. I only manage two servers, so clearly I don't need so many memory hungry MySQL processes running. I have searched with no luck for the mysql configuration file used by OpManager, usually called my.ini or my.cnf. Where in the world is the MySQL configuration file? It needs to be seriously tweaked for performance. Thanks.[/img]

Monitoring Windows 2003 Domain Controller
Can anyone tell me what we need to do to monitor a Windows 2003 Domain Controller? What services need to be running, does the account require administrative rights? I would like step by step instructions if at all possible. We have SMNP installed and WMI SNMP provider. We are still having some problems seeing some stuff. namely the AD stuff listed under AD STore, Network, Performance Counters. What else is required on the domain controller?
6016 linux installation/views
After installation a clean opmanager installation on a debian server applying the update 6016 and setting up the database at MSSQL we are running in to the following problem. If we click on a view for example Servers in the Infrastructure Views the devices are not showing. But we can find these devices back in the Quickconfig wizard. URL Monitoring service down when its not
We currently have a number of URL monitors on one particular device. We're receiving alarms indicating that the URL is down because the host is unreachable. the error i receive is: 404: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. : http://206.196.121.13:42 However, when entering the URL in a browser, i'm able to connect to the site and i can even click on the URL link in OpManager and open the site. Hi I'm sending traps from machine A to machine B. I can see in Ethereal that the packets (SNMP Traps) are arriving in machine B but how do I capture it in OPManager (OPManager 6 free). I've checked in 'Unsolicited Traps' but nothing is arriving. Can any one help me with this? Cheers

Non-Historical Change Monitoring
You have a 1 TB drive. You've set your monitor at 100 GB for a warning by email. Historically you use 1 GB per day, then one day consumption jumps to 80 GB an hour. Still, the current OpManager model won't let you know about this change from the historical usage to the current usage until you hit 100 GB. You have a CPU that hovers around 50% usage. You have your warning monitor set at 85% usage. One day the usage jumps from 50% to 83% and stays there. No monitor will alert unless it goes over 85%
Traffic Monitor Problems
Im having problems with getting OpManager to consistently record traffic monitor details such as Interface Rx Traffic and Interface Tx Traffic. I notice that when a device is discovered, OpManager may automatically assign traffic counters to it, but it wont start collecting data until I go into the traffic monitor, click edit, then click test monitor. Once I do that, sometimes the collection will continue and sometimes it will only record that one instance from when I clicked test monitor. This problem

Hi All, Is there a known issue where when adding a device into OpManager7, it will not select a SNMP profile to use? We use our own SNMP profile, it has been setup in the Credentials area and is ticked when adding the device. However, after adding the device and checking it, it will never select our(or any other) SNMP Credentials. Only "None" is selected.
