URL Monitor Reporting
I need a report that shows URL up time that I can schedule to be distributed like the other availability reports. I don't see a way to configure the report, can someone please help me?
Physically mapping from Index# to Cisco Switch
We are running a Cisco Catalyst 6500 Switch with 6 blades. A few of the ports (indexes) are offline and/or have issues as reported by OpManager. I want to know how we can map a certain index # to a port physically across all the blades. The indexes in OpManager range from 1-278. Each of our blades has 48 ports for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 switch. If we can map the index # to a port physically on the Switch, then we can remedy the situation. Business View Dual Link issue
Hi guys, How do i create 2 links between 2 devices in business view. After adding the first link when i try to add link it says already connected and won't let me add another link. Switchport Mapper Issue
We are running: Opmanager 7102 Windows 2003 Server MSSQL 2004 The issue we are having is Switchport mapper is displaying the wrong information. I am getting the error "Error retrieving config file " in config file manager. Where is the log file that I can look at to try and determine what the "error" is?
When will OpManager use more then one CPU?
Looking for a time line. I have OpManager installed on a Redhat Linux 5.2 server. The server has 4 CPU's, 4 cores each, and 32GB of ram. OpManager does not take advantage of any more then one CPU and will not use more then 2GB of ram. Is this going to be fixed soon? -Adam

Custom HomeScreen?
would it be possible to change the layout of the front screen? we would like to use both the infrastructure and business snapshot as a live system status style display. however currently we cant display more than 10 lines without using the more option. ideally would would live to show around 20 lines to show in detail alot of our services that are live. even if it ment we lost the alarms graph or availabilty distribution. is there any way we can change this view?
No monitors working after license install
We've just purchased OpManager Premium. I had been using it previously with the 30 day evaluation license. After I received the purchased license and installed it, none of the monitors are working for any of the devices. I've tried shutting down and restarting OpManager and restarting the server that OpManager is installed onto but with no success. Can someone please shed some light on what could possibly be wrong? Issue with OpManager's Windows Service Monitors and Same Dis
I already created a ticket, but I am posting in the forums so everyone is aware. We are having an issue with OpManager 7, 7102. We have seen a situaton with OpManager's Windows Service Monitors where if the same display name for the service exists on two servers with different windows service names, then OpManager erroneously shows the different service name as down. Here is the evidence: 2 Exchange Servers. 1 is Exchange 2003, 1 is Exchange 2007. Both run POP3. Exchange 2007's service display name
OPManager gone strange....
Hi, OPManger has decided not to let me view any of our systems, attached is the home page i`m getting on opening. Also attached is the Infrastructure view also which is blank. I have shut the server down and rebooted and repair db also, no difference. Any idea`s??
OpManager says interface is down, but interface is up
Hi, Recently, my Opmanager reported that my router interface constantly 'went down' for a few minutes and then 'went back up' minutes later. However the interface is very much up and running. This has happened a few times within the span of a few hours. It seemed like Opmanager was unable to ping the particular IP of the interface at certain intervals and reported it as 'down'. This was the first time in a very long time that Opmanager behaved this way and I have yet to find an explanation for this.
Feature Suggestion
When you are on the "Add Device" page could it be possible to add a "select" or "deselect" all box for the "credentials to use" part? As I get add more devices from different areas that have different credentials i have to manually go through and remove all of the selected boxes when there is only one I really need. Thanks, Joe
Problem getting data from dataset
I attempted to parameterize a value in my test using a csv file. When running the load test I received the error "Problem in getting Datas From Dataset. Please check the Dataset Configuration in Parameterization." After numerous attempts to fix, I just deleted the csv file and set the values back to their default value. Running the test resulted in same error. Deleted the transaction and load test, recreated transaction and load test - nothing parameterized yet still receive the same error. Any ideas?
URL Monitor reports, high response times
Hi, We've just set OpManager(7102) to watch 32 URLs we host. The response times for these are incorrect as any machine on the same network pinging these URLs will get 1ms consistently. Our urls in OpManager are showing 15-2281ms response time. Is there a better way to get OpManager to return accurate response times while monitoring URLs?
SNMP scan returns incorrect System Type for HP Procurve swit
I'm testing OpUtils and found one problem. We have both HP Procurve 2626 and 2810 switches installed. When I do an SNMP Scan, the Procurve 2626 switches are listed with a System Type of "hp procurve switch 2626-cr" but the 2810 switches are listed with a System Type that is actually a device's DNS Name. Any idea why the Procurve 2810 switches are not listed with the correct System Type?

Cannot Start the SD+
Hi All, I upgrade the SD+ from 6015 to 7000 but finally upgrading to the 7000 is failed at 99%. So, I Uninstall the 7000 and Restore Full Back of 6015. Now, Here is the problem. "Unable to start MySQL server on port 33335. Please free the port" This Error Message appeared and I understand that i need to end mysql-nt.exe from Task Manager. Ok, I start the service with run.bat but now this time... The error message appear like that "Failed to start the server. Please refer logs for more details." WHAT
OpManager On Startup
Just wondering is there a way for OpManager not to open upon startup? I've removed it from the startup panel and didn't see anything in the registry. I am doing this because I am only a part-time Admin (due to the facility being small) and I share a computer with the night shift operations manager. Already installed OpManager on the server, but it was running rather sluggish (upgraded the memory by 512mb (now 1 gig), can't upgrade any more due to their budget). Exception occured in savePolledData api
Hi, Can not add perf monitors to new devices. Can not add perf monitors to existing monitors. WMI/SNMP does not matter. Tried repair. Tried http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002643739amp;highlight=exception+occured+savepolleddata+api Categories do not work. e.g. add windows 2003 do not get monitors. Configure threshold
In a user guide it is said to click Graphs and Thresholds under configure menu... I simply can't find this command My main purpose is to alert an e-mail on a threshold event. What about thresholds which are notified in Monitors are they able to generate e-mail?
Request: Customization of pages
Hi, Could you include the ability to customize the serverpage. It seems that only "Service Monitors" are shown, not the "Windows service monitors". This would be a nice feature as you directly would see the affected services. The ability to edit the view of "business views" would be very much appreciated. I have about 50 business views, and more are coming. I would however like to have only 10 of them visible, as we will try to involve helpdesk personel to opmanager. 50 or more pages is not effective

Hello, We are currently monitoring 73 devices, of which i initially manually set up a notification profile to just my email address. I want to add more team members to be notified of device issues. Is there a better way to get all existing modified than manually adding a new notification profile to each device? thanks

Hi all, I have a problem concerning the monitoring of my custom OIDs. In fact, I have a "multiple" oid and I request the state of my ports, it sends me back the state of my 4 ports like on this picture. Hi guy, We are using OpManager 7 and its working fine. Only problem is since last month 19, availability data is not being saved to OpManager. Availability Report - limited to business hours/days
Hi, We would like to create timebased availability reports for some servers like: - only during business hours from 7:00 till 18:00 - or only on week days - 24h 7/7 - 24h 5/7 In following topic" How to create a report limited to business hours only" from (08/05/2008) was mentioned that this would be available in he next hotfix. But we don't see an option in the current version of OPmanager (build 7102). Is there a way to create timebased reports (eg report of last monts between 7:00 and 18:00) ?

Hi all, I have some question about OpManager restore process. my OpManager version: 7020 Than I backed up the data from this OpManager (7020). I restored DB in other server. But It couldn't restore every server. Hi, my Sophos Antivirus performs an update every hour. If this update is successful, an event is generated. If the update is not successful, no event is generated. Is there a apossibilty to create a monitor in opmanager that gives me an alarm, when an event is missing for a specified period of time? Regards Juergen
