Down Services Not Creating Alerts?
I just installed the trial edition of OpManager on a small network with 4 Linux servers and 2 windows servers. I created an Email and SMS alert profile, applied it to all servers. I also added a couple of URL monitors and these seem to work and send an email when the site is down. However, if I take down a service on a server (mysql for instance), it will show up as being down in the OpManager interface, but it does not show up as a Down Service on the OpManager Home Page Summary, nor is an alert

Increase Detailed statistics size
Hi, We are using the demo version of OpManager 7 and we need to increase the Detailed statistics size to two months. The maximum size is 15 days and is not enough. We have plenty of disk space so that will not be an issue. Is there a way to force OpManager to accept a large amount? I tried to edit a XML file but OpManager is not able to start correctly. I get a login screen but after the login my browser is trying to connect without success. Regards, Rogier

Shortcut: Apply a template to job from requests screen
I would like to be able to TICK a request, and then press "Apply Template", from the main Requests screen. This will save a MASSIVE amount of time on all requests. When you click "Apply Template", SDP should open the job in the EDIT screen, and PRE-LOAD the template you have selected. Suggest using a popup screen to list your templates, from the main menu. I would suggest put this new button next to MERGE, or next to ASSIGN TECHNICIAN somewhere in main screen :) EXAMPLE IMAGE BELOW -------------------

Business View icon text
The business view feature is great, but is it possible to remove the text from under the icons? We are finding it hard to organize our objects onto the map with such gaps between the dot and text, and a lot of icons end up overlapping. We are looking to use OpManager in an isolated lab network and this business view will be a map of our lab for quick reference as to what machine is down. Thanks in advance-
Server status without ping
Hi: We are currently using opmanager free edition build 6003. We are monitoring some server located on different net segments. One of the segment is behind a firewall and the ping port is locked. Does anyone know another form to activate( or inactivate) the server status ? I include some other monitors then I can use them to determine the server availability. Thanks Mega
Custom Event Log Rules
Hi everyone, I am trying to setup custom event logs for a server and its not working. I have set a specific alert for failed power supplies, event id 1125. I am not receiving any notifications when I perform a manual power supply failure on the redundant power supply units. However, when I enable All system event errors default configuration it polls all error alerts. I can confirm that I have all security credentials setup correctly as the default 'All System Errors' event log rule is working fine.
Disk Utilization per volume
Hi Folks, I am evaluating OpManager and I would like to know if it is possible to show the Disk Utilization per volume. For example: There is 4 data volumes in a server ( C:, D:, E: and F:), I would like to see the utilization of each volume. Is it possible to do that?

Is there a way by which we can consolidate reports in opmanager. Now in this we have separate Tx and Rx Util, and we want them added up to give the total util of the int. Additionally, we would like to customize reports the way we like the reports to be. Is that possible?

Hello All, Recently, the infra-estructure Server map multiplied the device objects according with the service found in that server. E.g, a server that have FTP, SMTP and Telnet services now display 4 objects... the real server plus 3 with the name in the following format: <server name>_Telnet_23. Hi, I implement several cisco switch without problem. but I'm suprise to see 2 ports with the same Mac address, same ip address but different vlan. On the switch we can see the 2 vlans and 2 ip and 2 mac address. Could you please tell me if it's normal to see that? thanks Olivier LEFEVRE

OpManager 7 install did not install OpenService service
I've just installed OpManager 7 as a trial version, but it will not start. The first error was that Port 80 was taken, and to run ChangeWebServerPort.bat, which I did. The port changed to 9090. Now the eventlog error shows Event ID 100, OpenService failed - the specified service does not exist as an installed service. I have confirmed that this service does not exist. Hi, I have 2 Switch Core Enterasys Matrix N7 1 is located in Rio and the other one is in Brasilia. When it's added the switch in Rio it is not recognized as a switch, instead is recognized as the default category Desktop. The switch have the credential OK and answer to the SNMP. Even after setup manually as a Switch I receive an error when I try to rediscovery the interfaces. Hi I have created a custom monitor to one of my ciscos in the OID i have set 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 and when I try to test it it is giving me a result like sysUpTime.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0:NULL altough if I do from the Linux Console i get a good result: snmpget -v2c -c <mycommunity> <myrouterip> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 = Gauge32: 1 why is it working diffrent on the same server from the Advanet and the CLI and how to fix it? Hi There, in Order to Aircondition Failure sometimes we have the Problem that the Tempreature on the Deivces will be hot. Even when a fan is not working the Temperature is a growing issue. It would be very Pretty to have that shown on the Snapshot and on the Business Maps. What are ur opinions for that?

How can i add Lotus Domino Service Montors ?
We've installed OpManager 7 Premium Edition and added a Server for testing OpManager with. On that Server SNMP ist activated and also the WMI-Service is up and running. We miss the Lotus Domino Application / Service Monitors for this server. The SNMP Agent for Domino is running and if we do a request with a mib browser on a workstation to that server the request is correctly answered with information about the domino server. WMI for MSSQL not showing any values any more
Hi, I am using OPManager build 7102 premium I monitor my MS-SQL-Server and it worked fine. However with our last Patchday we installed a lot of hotfixes from Microsoft. Since then all my WMI-monitors show N/A. WMI is working. When I test my credentials, I get the message, that it works. SNMP also works. I also get events from my windows-eventlog. But No SQL-monitors any more. I tried WMIADAP /F on my SQL-Server. But I am not able to restart all MSSQL-services since the maschine is in use by all users.

Hi, We are OpManager system and I'm trying to get a Cisco Catalyst 2960 monitored. OpManager doesn't seem to have much support for this switch although it's a VERY popular series in the Cisco Router family.. Can anyone tell me how to get the Catalyst 2960 running with OpManager?
