applying device templates wont work on certain servers
Hi! When i try to apply devicve templates to certain servers they arent to added, the only device template i want to have is for watching disk usage on paritions with certain treshholds - it works on most of my servers but some it wont. i have tried the snmp service on these and they are lookin just fine. what is this, is this a bug or something? what can i do about it? its really important that i can add certain templates to all servers at once because we have a lot of servers. thanks in advance!
How to monitor devices behind NAT?
I have a router that is performing NAT for a dozen or so switches. The switches behind the router have a port mapped so that they can be managed via HTTP. I want to monitor using HTTP to determine if any of those devices go down since I obviously cannot monitor them using ICMP in this case. The problem is that I can only set each device to monitor using ICMP or one TCP port. Hello, i m using opmanager version 8007 and i m having frequent disconnetion of database in opmanager. When i see opmanager stop collecting data i check " wrapper.log" file and i find error BUT i find opmanager service still running. No monitors are working with Server 2000 Machine
I have a machine with Windows Server 2000 SP 4 but none of the monitors added will work. I get the standard message: 1. Check if SNMP is enabled on this device. SNMP is installed and started 2. The SNMP request might have timed out It probably did cause it takes a long time. I did set the time out to 10. 3. The OID may not have been implemented in the MIB. If this is what I think it is I think the OID is loaded because every other server is using this monitor so I guessing it is loaded. 4. The device

I saw references to this problem in this forum but no solution. We occasionally get alerts that the CPU utilization on a server is high and above the threshold but the top process is "idle". Is there any specific cause and solution to this problem? Thanks. Mark
OP-manager application stops monitoring every day
Hi, I have Op-manager installed with the DB inside an MS SQL 2005. The application server is a windows 2003. Almost every day the application stops monitoring the devices without any specific reason. There are no Down Time Schedules setup. When i try to login to the web page most of the times bu not always i get an error about the user table in the DB. In the same time the service is running fine. After the restart of the entire server all devices appeared as not monitored for a time. What are the

OpManager remote monitoring errors
I am a user that monitors a network using a remote log in to OpManager. I work off of two different networks, on the primary one that I use to monitor OpManager I continue to get errors. I am using I.E. and get the error "12152: unknown". On the other network, I can monitor all day with no errors. All maps gone
Hi, We just purchased Opmanager after a month of evaluation. When we recieved the serial I reinstalled the server to have a fresh start. I have added all our devices and set the correct speed of 500+ tunnelinterfaces and built maps for different businessareas. After a restart of the server however, all our maps are gone! Even the built in ones (see pic below). - - - cut - - - If I add the widget "Business View Summary" to my dashboard I can see all the views I made and number of devices

Disk Utilization seen on Op is different than the Solaris Server
Hi, I've recently noticed that the Op disk utilization for one of my Solaris Server is giving me a 98% disk utilization. I've gone into the server mentioned and performed a manual check on the harddisk space. I am trying to increase the amount of RAM that OpManager uses and I used this script to increase the size from 200 to 1000 but I do not notice any increase in the amount of RAM that OpManager uses. I assumed that this function is similar to setting MS SQL to use a fixed amount of memory, is this indeed what it is used for? I'm running OpManager on Redhat AS 3.

MSSQL Data Files Size showing in KB
The Counter \General: Data File Size is showing in KB which is causing issues with the MIN/MAX/AVG figures. The attached image is just one of our database's, with all database's on all servers doing exactly the same thing. Is there a way to change the size from KB to MB or GB? It would be great if OpManager could detect the size of the file and represent the size in the most appropriate way. Any help would be greatly appreciated as showing a scientific equation on a report is not ideal. Thanks,

MIB File could not be parsed
I'm getting errors when trying to load the Traps on a MIB File using SNMP Trap Processors - Load from Mibs. and I'm getting the errors from the logs below. Device Downtime Scheduler Report?
Is there a way or a report that will show what the scheduled downtime is for a device? I've got over 50 diffrent downtime schedules and diffrent devices in each. I would like a way to look at a device and see what its a member of. Thanks

Raw data should be saved one year at least!
I think the raw data of opmanager should be kept for one year at least, if I want to drill down to history data before 7 days, I can not find any valuable lead! Many network monitor systems all have this feature, why opmanager not??? By other side, the raw data can be used to audit! So, I think this feature should be realized in opmanager! How to view total bytes in/out on a port?
I need a simple report that says: For Time Period "X" (last month, week, day, etc), 'Y' Bytes RX and 'Z' Bytes TX Out Port 1/1. The reports that SHOULD give this type of information do not give any aggregate value. I only see min/max/ave for the time period and some value per day/hr (depending on time period). Given that you collect the actual ifIn/OutBytes values from the switch ports, you should be able to tell me how many bytes have gone in/out of that port for any time period. I haven't

Hi! Sorry for this question but I don't understand how to fill the map "URLs". Is this an overview of all url monitors that I've added in OpManager? I am monitoring some devices which are filled with url monitors. Should the be shown automatically in Maps->URLs? I am asking because this view is completly empty. Or do I have to add them manually? Hello, We'd like to be able to draw stats from multiple ports on an interface in one report, or even pick a switch, one or more interfaces within the switch and one or more ports on the selected interface(s) into a combined report. Is this possible? We have some devices, like blade enclosures and large computer systems with multiple LAN ports on mulitple interfaces, as well as a number of 24- & 48-port switches where this type of report would be useful. SMS notification time
Hi I have got 15 servers. Poll interval is 5min. If I shut down the server, after about 8min the server status is Attention. Then I have to wait again about 8min and then the stauts Trouble. And then again after some time I get the Critical state and as soon as the server has this state I get an SMS. Where could I change the time, that I get this SMS earlier. After about 10 min?
