we are evaluating different solutions to monitor our iSeries environment.

 

We would like to know what are the requisites that the add-on for application manager needs to provide all the information, which ones of them are mandatory, which ones recommended and what features will provide.

 

So far I understand we will need the SNMP server to run to provide SNMP querying ( does your product catch snmptraps? ).

 

I've understood from a previous post I found in this forum, that some features require CLI credentials, do that mean that will log in to the system to retrieve the data? (as some nagios plugins do) if that's the case, where and how are those username/password data stored?.

 

Also, I would be interested in any standard security certifications that your products have.
