Disk Utilization seen on Op is different than the Solaris Server
Hi,
I've recently noticed that the Op disk utilization for one of my Solaris Server is giving me a 98% disk utilization.
I've gone into the server mentioned and performed a manual check on the harddisk space.
But i note that the disk utilization are still healthy, and not 98%
The following is the screen capture when i performed the df -h on the Solaris Server.
# df -h
Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 56G 22G 33G 41% /
/devices 0K 0K 0K 0% /devices
ctfs 0K 0K 0K 0% /system/contract
proc 0K 0K 0K 0% /proc
mnttab 0K 0K 0K 0% /etc/mnttab
swap 4.1G 1.2M 4.1G 1% /etc/svc/volatile
objfs 0K 0K 0K 0% /system/object/platform/sun4u-us3/lib/libc_psr/libc_psr_hwcap1.so.1
56G 22G 33G 41% /platform/sun4u-us3/lib/libc_psr.so.1/platform/sun4u-us3/lib/sparcv9/libc_psr/libc_psr_hwcap1.so.1
56G 22G 33G 41% /platform/sun4u-us3/lib/sparcv9/libc_psr.so.1

swap 4.1G 392K 4.1G 1% /tmp
swap 4.1G 48K 4.1G 1% /var/run
The asset details are giving me the correct parameters.
I've also gone through the MibBrowser with the OID of the disk utilization :- .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6
The following is observed :-
hrStorageUsed.1:-->23483558
hrStorageUsed.2:-->0
hrStorageUsed.3:-->0
hrStorageUsed.4:-->0
hrStorageUsed.5:-->0
hrStorageUsed.6:-->156
hrStorageUsed.7:-->0
hrStorageUsed.8:-->23483558
hrStorageUsed.9:-->23483558
hrStorageUsed.10:-->49
hrStorageUsed.11:-->6
hrStorageUsed.12:-->0
hrStorageUsed.101:-->242719
hrStorageUsed.102:-->171962
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This incorrect Disk utilization is currently happening on only one of the server. However the rest of the servers running on the same platform n operations are not facing any of this.
In addition, when the Op Manager polls the disk utilization info, which disk is it refering to ?
Could you briefly go through with me?
Please advice.
Thanks,
Chris
