configure VPN Conncetion through VPN connection
Hi, We have 150 devices joined to the domain and we want to configure VPN connection on them. how can I configure VPN connection in each device from Desktop Central and not to do it manually? and if it is not possible is there any way that we do it by running custom scripts and how? Best Regards,

Exclude based on OU
Hi When deploying a configuration to a custom group of Users, I would like to be able to exclude the configuration from running on another custom group, OU or Active Directory group but I only have the option to exclude based on Remote Office, architecture, OS or machine type. For example, I want to deploy a configuration to a particular set of users, but I don't want that configuration to be applied to any machines that are Conference Room desktops. Is this possible? Configuration - File Folder Operation - problem
Hy, i have a problem with new configuration i made. I create 4 steps in that configuration. I deploy configuration and everything was OK. But after that in new configuration i made from first one i deleted first two steps. I run that configuration on new set of computer and on all that computers configuration did what was deined. But in DC status of deployment is Retry in progress. My question is why it shows like that. Is the problem that i deleted first 2 steps and configuration remembered that

Hi, I'm sure there is a simple answer, but can someone please tell me why I would receive an error message stating: "No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept" when trying to deploy a configuration? New user in AD group automatically run installation of printer or something else
I have a task to do but i really dont know how to make it with DC8. I had to install printers in one BU on all Computers that are in that BU exmp XY. I install DC agent on all computers that are in AD in OU_XY After that i create Custom group Printer_XY and i put all computers from AD in OU_XY in that custom group. Last step was to create Configuration that install that printer from print server on Custum group and that work just perfect. Now i how changes and my question is how one computer

I am testing the use of Alerts to notify users of pending expiring passwords. I setup an alert as shown below (Pic1). Some questions about the Alerts. 1) My goal is to begin notifying the user at 7 days till their password expires, but to notify them daily until the last day. Will this Alert function like this? 2) Is the setup of this Alert perpetual? Our password policy cycles every 60 days. Will the user be notified in the future each time their password comes due for expiration in 60 days then
Restriction based on IP Address (Laptops)

Is there a way to create a configuration where the target computers can be modified, after it has been set to deploy, without having the configuration push the software to targets that already have the software. Example: New software is being pushed to the enterprise, lets use Java for this example. You set the configuration to push 10 systems. In Desktop Central, configuring Power Management is under "User Configurations." Shouldn't this be under Computer Configurations? hi has anyone run into any issues with upgrade of desktop central to DC sp1? I am planning on doing this in the next few days but the client side agent update always makes me a bit nervous since i had some issues earlier in the year where the client agents on windows 2008 r2 stopped the server service and some other crucial services like networking. it has been fixed but am now always super carefull when it comes to updating the agents (in fact i turn of desktop central service on critical servers

Hi all, Is it possible to set an (Security) policy in DC for preventing users installing software? In this particular situation the users do not use Active Directory and the are all Local Administrator. If possible, only the Desktop Central operator is allowed to install software on the desktops.
