User Login History by computer
When I select this report I only see about half our computers. If I reverse sort on the computer name then I see the other half. Shouldn't there be some sort of page selector at the top of this page as there are on others where there are more records than show in the window?

Missing Required Resource when applying patches
How can we find out what the "required resource" is? This happens when trying to install certain patches. Required resources are not available to perform the scanning on client machine before installing the updates. Derek Odiorne

Can't install *.exe on client computer
I have a strange problem with installation *.exe on client computer. When I install *.msi it's OK. Lately I have tried to install *.exe , after client computer reboot and loged in i can see this program as a Process in Task Manager on this client. In Desktop Central 6 -> Configurations status for this configuration is still "Ready to execute". Schould I use some extra command's while preparing installation pack? Thank's for help.

adding local users
When trying to deploy local users to a number of machines, they all fail saying that the password doesn't meet the complexity rules. I absolutely know that 12 characters with a number, upper case and special character would more than meet any complexity requirements. And since this is a new user, the password has not been used before. Derek Odiorne
dcinventory.exe Appl;ication Error

Inventory module provides you the Bios Information like Name, Manufacturer, Release date, Year of Installation, Service tag and Status. Hello. I'm trying Desktop Central on behalf of my it department and it seems to be a very good software. I have (for now ^^) only 2 questions about the inventory: 1. Is it possible to get the os language information? 2. Is it possible to get the hardware model name in the bios section? The Serial number (Service Tag) is correct, but we need the model name too. Push install to client never executes!
I have had this problem since we installed the software? I am able to push the client to the computer but nothing happens when I push anything to it? Ver 60007 This is becoming very frustrating and a waist of my time and money re up the maintaince charges. Good thing I only purchased 100 computer licenses and not 2000. Maybe someone can help. Install the Desktop Central Agent on NT 4.0
We are currently trying to evaluate Desktop Central 6 and we are having issues installing the agent on our NT 4.0 SP6 boxes. We would like to atuomate the process for installing the 6.1 agent on about 200 windows NT 4.0 PC's. GPO missing
I was wondering if there was a way to repopulate the GPO's that DC creates without reinstalling DC. I run DC5 and my domain controller crashed and I lost about GPO's one of them was Advclient, or something of that nature. Please let me know.
Settings to not apply second time
We have setup 3 user configurations and 1 computer configuration. A user can login and receive a shared printer, change the description of My Computer, drive mappings to 3 different resources and a computer configuration copy a folder from another server to the computer's desktop. The My Computer and printer work fine. The drive mapping worked the first time. We logged in several times as the same user and it did not work. We logged in with another user and that worked. Office 2007 install
Having trouble deploying Office 2007 - it will just sit there in the "Ready to Execute" queue. Using an unattended .exe form of Office 2007 - this works fine with Microsoft SMS. IO can deploy other .msi's or .exe's no trouble - just Office 2007 is a problem. Adam Horn

Automated reports
Hi there, We are currently trialing this product to see if it can do what we want. So far we can not see a way of automating reports to be generated in pdf. An example would be User Logon Reports-->User Logon History. We would like a weekly report automatically generated and stored in pdf without someone having to start the process, can this be done? On the same report we also only want one weeks worth of report to be reported, per user. So that for say a user called "X", it has there login and logout
Can't Insall Agent
Dear ALL, I installed agent manually in 2 computers. After installation I tried to make the SOM to install agents, but it returned with 2 defferent type of errors: 1) access denied: 2) Unable to get the agent status. Operation time out. I looked into the Services in both computers the DC service is not listed, but when i used the msconfig command, the "ManageEngine Desktop Central 6 - Desktop Sharing Services" it's status STOPPED in both machines. Hi there, When I go to User Logon History, and then click on the number of times the user has logged on and off, I can not export the information via pdf or csv. However on any other report I can. Desktop Sharing Extraordinarily Slow
Hello - We have 3 installations of DC 6 at our facilities. All 3 are exhibiting the same exact problem with Desktop Sharing - it's horribly slow. So slow it's unusable. The ActiveX agent gets installed without issue. The end PC's are all Windows XP SP2. The only TSR on the PC is Eset NOD32 and Java. Do you have any hints as to why it's so slow or what I could do to speed it up? Searched your blog and faq and found nothing. Please help. JMM
User Defined Target not working
When we go to modify a drive mapping for some reason the 'Defined Target' resets to 'Domain' even though we have previously associated it to users. If we go in to reselect the users and select 'Browse' we do not see a list of users. What are we missing ? Also, we do not see all of our file servers when we browse for folders to share. Thanks.
Network Printers Disappearing
Ever since pushing out the DesktopCentral Agent to our domain computers, network printers are getting removed. We have never had any problem with our network printer until Desktop Central Agent was installed. I can see in the PushPrinterConnection.exe log where the printers are found and deployed and then five minutes later the printers get removed. And now I have shutdown the Desktop Central server because I can no longer relay on this application to manage my desktops if it's going to continue

problem with patch installs
I'm having some trouble (or perhaps confusion) with patch scanning/installation. After scanning a machine DC reports that 24 patches are missing. I assume that means I should install them, so I create a configuration to install those 24 patches. The configuration executes and returns a failed error and says "Required resources are not available to perform the scanning on client machine before installing the updates." Under Schedule Scan Settings, Choose Scan Operation Mode I have Automatically download the missing patches and draft the patch configuration selected to run daily at 10am est. The schdeduled scan did run, but did not draft the patch configuration. What am I doing wrong here? tia, Randy

DCAgent does not install
Hi there, In a small network with 8 PCs W2K and XP (all German localized) I tried to install Desktop Central. The server install was no problem, but I can't install the client.
