Monitoring process time and react
Hi, i'm trying to setup an alert that will react IF a process has been running for more than a value. Something like 1000 minutes. I can't see an option to monitor on this parameter. The only options i can see are - Availability - Num of Instances - Mem % - CPU % Is monitoring process time possible?

hi, I have created a script monitor which regularly runs a .bat (batch) file. In the output settings, I have mentioned a output ile. My requirement is send some output to a output file.Depending upon value in output file some action has to be triggered. But I am unable to get any output in the output file. I am looking to change CPU Utilization to CPU Load Average. The CPU spikes are not as big a problem as the load average climbing. I have changed the unix script to:command="top b n 1 | grep 'load'". The command produces output from the command line but I am getting no data. JBoss seam
Hi I am trying out the Applications Manager and are trying to set up a J2EE Web Transaction monitor in JBoss 4.0.2. Our application uses seam and EJB 3's. The monitor connects to my JBoss server and I get a green icon for health. However, it keeps on saying No transaction data available no matter how many times I excecute url's in my application. Does anybody know if I need a special setting for packages etc? Thanks in advance. Marius

Monitor Groups Summary is empty for Monitor Groups that contain more then 1 Monitor and it says: "Check the URL". But the other tabs (Availability and Performance)show the correct Monitors. We also have some Monitor Groups that contain only 1 Monitor and these Monitor Groups show the correct Monitor on the Summary page and do not show the "Check the URL" message. Hello support, I updated my appmanager system from version 7.4 to 8.0 with the update script. I have some question about the use of the new program gui within the webbrowser: The panel view on the homepage was different to the version 7.4. I'm missing two panels, one views the server with highest cpu workload and one views the highest response time. How can I add the missing panels to the homepage again?? On homepage and on the monitor site are new pads named "summary", "performance" and "avaiability".

I am trying to monitor a SQL2005 DB with Applications Manager and everything appears to work until polling starts. I get this message "Problem in collecting data for the current status of MSSQL server. Refer Troubleshooting" and no data is returned. I am using the sa id/pw to monitor and the database is set to mixed mode. I monitor other SQL2005 and SQL2000 DB's with no problems. Hello, I seem to have a problem adding a script monitor to a remote location. I use Telnet (server has local system account logging credentials), but it just returns a "Could not establish a session with the host. Kindly check the host information." message. Any idea why this is happening?? Thanks
How to configure appmanger to monitor a cluster
Hi i know that this is possible, i just cannot figure out how to achieve this in appmanager. Ihave a ftp cluster with two nodes that reside in the same App group today, this is a active passive cluster, when node A is active i recieve alarms from node B and vice versa. Any help appreciated. Tomcat Monitor - Port 80
Hi, I can't add Tomcat Monitor I have two tomcat on my server. one at port 80 and another at port 8080 I successfully added monitor for tomcat running at port 8080, but in adding monitor for tomcat running at port 80 the following error occured: Host / IP ---- Port ---- Status ---- Message ip----------------- 80 ------ Failed ----- Service is not Running. Tomcat 6 monitoring problem
Hi, I really liked this product, it looks amazing. I�m using a MySQL and Tomcat 6.0.13 servers. With MySQL everything worked right, but with Tomcat didn�t. After I configure the monitor, I get the following message: "Error while collecting data from Tomcat Server." AppManager 8 and SNMP failure
Hello all, I am running AppManager v8 (8000) for the company here with the professional edition. We have a problem whereby we add a novell netware server (defined as "linux" for convenience) with SNMP monitoring. If we add two hosts, the second host always causes appmanager to die with an "internal server error" red box trying to view the monitor details. The wizard indicates success monitoring the server, and it's added to the application, but we cannot pull up it's information page. Monitoring

Hi all, I can't make get/set of a node from my mibbrowser, but it has value, because in my java code i have access to it. The node is a table, with four subnodes, and i have access to them in my java code, but i haven't got access to three of them from my mibbrowser. There is one accessible from the browser. java memory error
I have a w2k3 server running App Manger 7.410 that keeps returning an error - Apache Tomcat/4.1.27 The server encountered an internal error (Dispatch[/showresource] to method showdetails returned an exception) that prevented it from fulfilling this request. There's nothing in the windows logs, but the stderr# log shows the following - Exception running task: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space Memory usage on the server is minimal. It works if I restart the services, but it doesn't last.

FALS downtime
hello i started app mang on one off my live server for websphere from two days but app mang is showing downtime. i am very sure server was not down at any point of day CPU/MEM was high but WEBSPHERE was working. App Manager 7.3 won't start
When I run startApplicationsManager.sh, it says it cannot connect to MySQL: ./bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/AdventNet/ME/AppManager7/working/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/opt/AdventNet/ME/AppManager7/working/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! If I run the working/bin/startMySQL.sh script, then run startApplicationsManager.sh, the only output is "070912 13:35:07 mysqld ended".
0% CPU Utilization ?
Hello, I just recently installed Applications Manager on Debian, everything runs just fine exept it says 0% CPU Utilization on all boxes, and under each host it says: CPU Utillization: No data available to generate graph. Any ideas on how to fix this? NOTE: The hosts are just a standard SNMP installation
Ping Monitor Availability always goes down on Build 7410
Hi Apps Support, We are using Application Manager and successfully patch to build 7410. We are using the Ping Monitor feature on one of the server. Configuration of the ping monitor is successfully. But after a few hours, the AVAILABILITY of the resource always goes down. When I try to ping continously using the command "ping <servername> -t", I can get a reply without any problem. Please advise why the availability of Ping monitor resource goes down wherein it should not because I can get a reply

MYSQL DB Optimizing/Tuning
Hi! I�ve 364 Monitors running on my AM Server 7 Build 7410 professional edition, Load Faktor is 9,5 to 9,7. I know, it�s too much for one server so i�m getting the Enterprise License in future, but it takes some time for the change. But if i�m looking what AM servers most usage is, it�s the mysqld-nt.exe. He works with 4 CPU (on VMware ESX) concurrent 80-90% cpu usage, but memory usage was very less with 400MB the whole server! I�m not an mysqldb professional, but i guess there is some performance
