Excute Program Action cannot excute batch
I defined Excute Program Action that is cmd program including several commands. When I tried to test by click excute button on list of action screen. It didn't reply and cmd.exe is shown running on Task Manager. I tested attached cmd file.(call 5 notepads) I found out only ONE notepad is started and when I close First notepad then another notepad is launched. How can I run this batch as Excute Action? My AppManager's build number is 8501. thanks in advance Daeyong.
MS SQL Monitoring
I have been evaluating your Application Manager 8 product to see if it fits our companies needs. I have a few issues I would like to see if it has been addressed or if I'm over looking something. 1) SQL Jobs - Is there a way to define what makes a job critical? To me cancelled jobs are not critical and all my replication agent jobs stay in this state. Is there a way to say cancelled jobs are healthy and failed jobs are critical? 2) Have you thought about adding a monitor for replication obects? 3Windows
Url monitor response time
Hello, Is the response time you get from a url monitor the time when all static content on the page is loaded or is it the time between the request and the first answer? i have been trying to work on pulling data out of the Application Manager mysql Database for use in excel. I have been using the table "am_cpu_minmaxavgdata" but i am having trouble converting the time stamp of "archivedtime" into a useable form. I need to excute some batches. But it couldn't. AdventNet support answered it is limit of window OS. I tested it and get differnt result. see below screenshot. You know window's cmd command's length limit is up to 259. But, it is only about first argument not for whole command. So, I would like to ask change it. If you need more information, just answer me. How granular can the CPU monitoring reporting be?
I'm running a historic report of CPU levels on a Sun Solaris server for the month of November 2008. The report is only showing the values on an hourly basis...however I know the monitoring is done every minute. Is there something I can configure to give me more detail rather than hourly figures, or is the data aggregated for the reports? Gavin
SNMP/Network device community string updates
Support, Is there a way to update the community string for a "SNMP/Network Device" monitor after you have created it. I go to the edit monitor screen and there is no field to allow for a change.... I did notice that when i select SNMP/Network devices from the category view on the monitor tab and then go to the "list view" that there is an option to update username & password but Im not sure that will work because that is the "username" and "password" fields and Im just looking for the "snmp community
Error when trying to add an iis monitor
Hi, I'm trying to add an iis monitor on a 2000 server running iis and immediately I receive a "Service is not Running" message. If I press the "Diagnose the problem?" button, I can see a V mark on the Service Status part of the popup diagnose screen opened plus the output header. Also, if I type the address of the server I'm trying to monitor I get a regular web page. How can I Debug this? Thanks, Adi.

Unexpected Response Time in URS Seq.

WL 9.2.2 monitoring
Hi, I am using the out-of-the box WL monitoring solution from AppManager 8. It is showing ok some information like "JVM Heap Usage for last one hour" , "Session Details of Web Applications" but it is not showing me the one i am really interested in: "Connection Pool" Could perhaps help me to have my Connection pool monitored for my app servers unde rWL 9.2.2 ? SMS gateway problem
Hello We have just buy a new sms gateway Wavecom Fastrack Supreme 10 with rs-232 interface and we would like to use is in Application Manager but when we try to configure the sms server it says MODEM IS NOT CONNECTED PROPERLY ,, Check your settings. We have the declared the right com port but nothing. In addition i have tried to connect also with a profilic usb to serial cable but again nothing. adventnet monitoring disk % threshold corrupted?
Hi, the adventnet server's config seems corrupted. All of sudden adventnet sends out false alerts for servers monitored for disk % usage . Upon checking, the threshold limit in the alert mail become 0% => corrupted somehow. pls advise any logs/config to check - the 9090 admin console just shows a page asking to delete some host for monitoring, and license usage. thanks.

We have installed 2 standalone Applications Manager Pro servers. Now we are attempting to install 1 enterprise Applications Manager but are having an issue adding any of the 2 existing managed servers because the "Server ID" info is not present in the Installation Information section on either of the 2 standalone installs. Unable to Monitor Processes
Folks, I'm trying to monitor a process on our database server running Tru64 UNIX which is being monitored using SNMP (There's no SNMP monitoring option for Tru64 so I had to fake it out by classifying the host as a Solaris host - everything works fine). Single Host, Multiple IPs using IP Aliasing
Folks, I'm having an interesting conundrum that I haven't seen any posts about. We have multiple machines configured such that they have multiple IPs aliased to the same ethernet interface e.g. bgeo, bge0:1, bge0:2 up to at least 41 on the one machine I'm looking at right now. These IPs are all in the same network but aren't contiguous or have any other pattern to them. Each IP is in DNS and has a different hostname associated with it. IIS Monitor Availability
I have 5 IIS Monitors, each of which has reported alerts for the response time attribute on a random basis. Response time graphs do not indicate a threshold being crossed. How can I determine the cause of the alerts?
IIS Availability Alerts
Application Manager has started giving me availability alerts on 5 different IIS Server monitors at random times, not coincident with each other. Event logs on these machines do not show any apparent cause. How can I determine what is causing the availability alerts? There is no evidence of response times exceeding thresholds either.

I have a server (Solaris) that keeps alarming at 96% utilization. It's not running that hot, not even 10%. I clear the alarm and on the next poll it comes back. How does AM get cpu numbers, and has anyone seen this before? Andy

Custom Monitor Alerts
Hello there, I have a questing with regards to thresholds and alerts on a custom monitor. I found the server disk utilisation report difficult to report from, so I created my own custom monitor script to check all server names from a file, report on each hard disk in the system, output it to a table. How to configure mail server
Hi all I am using Application Manager 8 for monitoring remote servers through it. I want the software to send alerts to me through email but when I configure the mail server it displays an error message. In my office we are using SMTP server by the name of smtp.gmail.com on port number 465 but when I provide these parameters along with email address the system shows me the message: SMTP service is not running in smtp.gmail.com:465.
