Unable to monitor MySQL 5.1.45-log by percona
Hi, I am evaluating appmanager and would like to monitor MySQL 5.1.45-log 64bit edition by percona. I can monitor MySQL 5.1.34-log by percona, but the monitor for MySQL 5.1.45-log by percona does not graphs anything like Connection Time - Last One Hour Request Statistics - Last One Hour etc. Also how to monitor the innodb specific atributes like innodb-rolled back transactions, innodb-io, etc? Deleting Dashboard
I've set up a embedded web page on a dashboard, but when I display the dashboard, the web page goes to full screen and I have to close the window. How do I delete the dashboard as I cannot use the usual method ?
MSMQ attribute not visible
Hi , We are using App Manager 9 build 9110. We are having some server running MSMQ_Queus. we need to monitor queue of all server. However , when we try to add attribute in Windows Perfomance counter we are not able to see Win32_PerfFormattedData_MSMQ_MSMQQueue attribute on some server. Pls note , same is visible on some server also MSMQ is running on all server and message are flowing perfectly fine .Also we are able to queue status using prefmon .
Application manager 8 upgrade issues
Hi, I successfully upgraded application manager 8 to version 9, but i noticed that the application manager service is always off, even when manually started. This also affected the AIX servers that i edited their memory utilization command to "sudo svmon -G" in HostResource.xml file. When i click on each AIX server in order to monitor the resource utilization, the page does not open. I have reverted the editing of the HostResource.xml file but the problem still persist. Can someone please help

Hi, How can I set the session time out to be never expires? I see in web.xml file "<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>" as every 30 minutes the session will expire. Regards, Wira

Add navigation arrows such as next monitor and previous
The title says it all , I want to be able to navigate between monitors without having to go back to main page. It would also be useful to be able to compare monitors side by side, maybe as much as four or six could be possible.

eventlog monitoring
Hi, We want to monitor the evelog log for errors. Within AppManager you'll have the option to monitor specific events. For this you'll have to enable eventlog monitoring of the server. The downside of this feature is that the alarm will stay on the alarm page until the next poll. In case you poll the server every minute you'll only see the alarm for 1 minute. Another way to monitor the eventlog is by using the logfile monitor and look at the file instead of making it part of the server monitor. This

Change Primary Server Address In Application Manager
Hi, I'm trialling Application Manager 9 on Amazon EC2. When I start a new instance on EC2 it comes up with a new IP address. Unfortunately AppManager still references the IP address of the original instance I used to setup and configure AppManager. So when startApplicationsManager.sh is called it hangs with "contacting primary server...". Can someone tell me how to change the primary server address please? I've got a DNS record setup now so hopefully I can just point AppManager at backoffice.mydomain.com
Delete an unknown server monitor
How do I delete an unknown server? I started an apache monitor for a test and AM additionally set up an unknown server monitor with the same ip address. After the test I deleted the apache monitor but the unknown server monitor is still there and I can’t delete it.
SMS Action in manager server
We recently installed a GSM modem on our manager server and configured it in SMS server settings. However there does not appear to be any way to send SMS alerts via the manager server. Is it possible to send alerts from the manager server? If not, why is there an option to configure the SMS modem on the manager server?

Hi , We are using Application Manager 9 Build 9110. M trying to monitor a URL having Post parameter . When I pass the POST parameter from AppManager , it gets appended by ":" when it hits the url site resulting in "invalid parameter" error . Pls help .

Monitor a NAS using SNMP
I'm trying to monitor a NAS. The Operating System is open-e and SNMP is enabled. I tested it with an SNMP client and also with snmpwalk.bat. Getting loads of "Clear" mail

Hi, our company is evaluating your product to replace our existing tools and at this point we are very impressed. I have a question about the unmanage option. We have a couple of URL Sequence scripts running and we are needing to, for the time being, stop polling. We currently have it unmanaged, but in the monitor information, while the Next Poll information seems to have correctly paused the polling, the Last Poll still shows 5 minutes ago and we have had it unmanaged for a while now.. Why do Windows Performance Counters show so many 0 values ?
Hi, I configured a "Windows perfomance counter"-monitor for I know, that the system I'm monitoring is under heavy I/O-load. But AppManager shows lots of zero values: On some Attributes 2 of 3 values show zero (instead of meaningful value) on other attributes alle values show zero. It seems that while the AM center access the 135 port of the remote client, the client's RPC will feedback the available ports to AM Center, and the range of this available ports may be 1025 to 5000.
