Services down alert
Hi, For last 2 days we are getting alerts from app manager that "service in our servers are down(Apache & Tomcat)", but checking the servers all services are up and running. To confirm the same we have checked even the servers logs all shows requested URLs are served to the clients successfully. My concern is as below 1. How can alerts can be triggered when the services are up and running? 2. We have checked whether app manager installed server has a network issue, But no issue in network. Since
alerts shows group monitor when it's disabled on the widget config.
Hi, I created a dashboard with the top 10 alerts of all servers. I want to exclude all group and subgroups alerts on my widget and let only HOSTS's alerts. My config is attached on images. regards Israel.
AppManager MySQL on Windows 2008 does not shutdown with 'net stop <AppMan service>'
Hey Folks, When we shutdown Applications Manager using the services.mmc or 'net stop' command, the mysqld-nt process keeps running. The only way we can stop it is to either kill the process via task manager (not recommended) or run 'shutdownApplicationManager.bat -force' We've found this is an issue with Applications Manager on Windows when there's over about 200 monitors. It's annoying but not the end of the world.. except now that we come to best practices that recommends we restart the applications

How can I have Application Manager extract information from IIS PerfMon? I have snmp on and that shows me all system related stats but is not showing me any IIS related stats. Thank you. Ketan
Schedule report options
I have scheduled a report showing the response times for our production sites URL's. In the report produced, only the first 10 URL’s are shown in the graph even though they are a lot more in the table below. I know that when creating reports manually, I have the option to show the top 10 or 20 etc. Is this option available for the scheduled reports ?
User Audit
We have a license for 16 users installed on our server & I need to trace how many times each user connects to the Web console for auditing purposes. Are the loggings traced somewhere in a log file or in the database & is it possible to produce a report automatically ?
Application Manager - Interface Status
Howdy. I've a query I need assistance with. I wish to monitor the status of an interface, see highlighted section at the end. Is there any way to do this on an existing monitor i.e. edit one and add the option without having to recreate that monitor? I've attached a screenshot and it shows I'm monitoring the interfaces, but this option seems to be missing. Is it only configured at login? I don't wish to recreate the monitor as it's a critical device. Also, could it also be a licence issue? Thanks
Test Email functionality?
testing the product and using SMTP server....don't see a "test" or "send" option to make sure that my associated actions fro URL sequence monitoring (which trigger the email) is working.....how do I test the email functionality?
webCheckText usage
Hi, I downloaded AppManager 9.2 to check it out before upgrading our current version which is already doing a really good job. I want to use Real Browser Monitor with the webCheckText to try and identify the cause of an intermittent bug. I managed to get a Real Browser Monitor working after some fiddling around and now it logs on to my EnterpriseOne application, launches a new screen, does a find then logs off. I want to use the webCheckText function to check for some text on the pages as it goes
help with the layout of the appmanger database
I have a custom application that interfaces with several monitoring programs, including appmanger but was having a little difficulty. I was pulling information from the alert table to get the current status of all the monitors. That was working until i added a couple of different monitors and realized that i was getting my information from the wrong table. My question is, if that is the wrong table, what is the right table to pull my information from? I tried looking at the databaseschema.conf file

Is there a way to bypass login when clicking on the DetailsPageURL from ListMonitor REST API
Hi there. The ListMonitor REST API produces a DetailsPageURL. When I use that DetailsPageURL in my web app, it requires me to enter in the user name and password. Since I already have the API KEY, is there a way to just pass the API KEY in the DetailsPageURL so I don't need to authenticate? For example: http://app-windows:9090/AppManager/xml/ListMonitor?apikey=[APIKEY]&resourceID=[RESOURCEID]&DetailsPageURL

I have installed the RBM Toolbar & RBM playback Agent on my AppManager server & remote machine. I have also activated the agent & it is visible from my server. I would like to know how to record a new Webscript ? Do I create it from the server or on the remote machine? When I look in the toolbar on the remote machine, I don’t have the option to create a new script. Add a new attribute to SQL Server Database Monitoring
Hi, Currently lot of attributes are already captured in Database monitor for SQL server. In addition to current attributes, we need to capture attribute "Page life expectancy" also. If this is not already captured, is there any way I can add this attribute to AppManager as its required to monitor the expected behaviour of the server. Thanks Aman
Monitoring SNMP INTEGER Attribute Shows '0'
When I run the following from the AppManager host's command line I get the INTEGER: 84 C:\> snmpwalk.exe -v 2c -c public 192.168.1.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6.5 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.789.1.5.4.1.6.5 = INTEGER: 84 But when I put the OID '1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6.5' into AppManager and change it to a COUNTER (no INTEGER available) I get 0, even when I hit 'poll now' or wait several minutes. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Alert for Non-Empty Results with MySQL DB Query
Hi, We have the following threshold that I applied to a MySQL DB Query, which I tried to alert me should the query not be empty (it would return one of several dozen values): Alas using '*' as a wildcard doesn't work. Does anyone have a suggestions to do wildcard searches or maybe a way to check if a result is not empty? Thanks!

AppManager 9 in Linux
I installed AppManager trial edition in Ubuntu 64, but it's not starting well, I'm getting "Error in initializing relational classes in Topology Module. Hi, I have the AppManager runining on a RedHat box, but after a couple of days I stop receiving notifications. I just restart the service and it starts working again. Have any body had this problem before? TIA
Monitor seems alive but it's not collecting data on APM
Hi, We're testing APM on a linux server, sometimes a host is active (green) on the map, but without data because there was an error when connecting to the real host. Question: How can I know if a host has lost connection or is not collecting data from the business view? Maybe it should show gray instead green color. Thanks

MySql Server is down
Hi, The monitor for the Applications Manager MySQL database server (created automatically when Applications Manager was installed) shows the following error: MySql Server is down. Error Message: Unable to connect to any hosts due to exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect The execution of MySQLDebug.bat displays the same findings. Applications Manager still continues to monitor our systems but e.g. we are not able to delete monitors anymore. What do we have to do to solve
