App manager crashes and restarts on server when trying to access SMS server settings under admin
Previously app manager was co-hosted with op manager and I assumed the issue was that that op manager already had exclusive access to the SMS modem. Now that I have migrated app manager to its own host with its own modem, the same behaviour is exhibited. What logs would be helpful to diagnose this issue? The modem model being used by each product is the same and I was able to select a com port when first installed but the crash happens every time I try and get back into settings from then on. http://www.postcarbon.org
Exporting report data from script agent
Hi We are running a script agent, that returns data (text and numeric). We have enabled reports for some of the numeric data and graphs are created as we want. But the report can only be exported to pdf - not to csv or excel as mentioned in help item. We want to export data to include them in a monthly management report put together from many different tools. Do anyone know how to export report data to csv ? Regards, Mogens
AppManager - Windows event log on 2008r2
hello, I found that in windows 2008 r2 machines are not properly collected logs windows. if I click on "View All Events" list screen remains blank. I can easily configure the 2003 and the logs are properly collected and managed. on all the systems on my network the firewall is disabled and all queries are executed in mode "wmi". I had the same error with version 10600 and 10700 is a known problem? how can I fix this?
OPS Manager + SMS + APPS Manager
we have setup ops manager and the sms/modem is connected to it. now we install APPS manager we encounter an error in settingup sms. when we go to sms setup for app manager its giving us modem not supported/Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings!

Dashboard filtertering over subgroups shows no results
I want to create several dashboards using the "custom fields" as a filter. I have created a webserver group, that has sub groups ( like web server group ; application server group ; database server group ; etc) The subgroups have different "custom fields" configured. In this way i tried to make dashboards for , server-managers, application-managers , database-managers However, when applying a dashboard filter from customfields in subgroups it it shows no results Do any of you have a good solution?
Monitor for AS400/iSeries
Dear, I need to create a monitor for AS400/iSeries, the documentation says that the user for monitoring should be permitted to access QMPGDATA library, and in QMPGDATA library, the user requires *QSECOFR permission on the server. This kind of user cannot be create like that because it violates the security policies of the company, please can you be a little more especific about the objects that must be assigned to the user? Hello, Is it really impossible to monitor VMware ESXi vSphere 5 ? Can you tell me if the problem below can be resolved ? I tried and when I enter the credential (via "Edit Monitor") I have errors : "Please crosscheck whether 1) Host server is running properly 2) Host server port is accessible. AppManager 8 - MSSQL monitor connects to wrong server
Good afternoon everyone, We have AppManager 8 installed, and I have a weird behaviour going on. When trying to create a new (MSSQL) monitor on server A, it creates it but goes to server B. Connecting to server A using SQLCMD works fine, all ip and dns issues are excluded (ping ok, connect ok on port 1433) Another monitor (windows this time) connects to and reports the right machine name. Reset next poll time?
We have an issue where someone set the system clock on our server to 2013 which now has all of our monitors set to next poll a year from now. We've tried unmanaging/remanaging the monitor, triggering a manual poll, nothing seems to reset the last/next poll time back to current year. Is there a way to reset the next poll time for all monitors?

I tested SAP connectivity by SAPDebug.sh script from /opt/ME/AppManager10/bin/troubleshooting folder, but it gave me error : "Unable to establish connection with the SAP system. Cannot set primary keys (sql db monitor) after update to 10.6
Hi everyone. I've experienced problems on setting primary keys in a new db sql monitor after updating ME Applications Manager from 10.2 to 10.6. The error message is: "Unable to find the primay key for openquery(PRODEONE|'SELECT. To show the query output alteast one primary key has to be selected.To select a primary key click the "Primary Keys" link in the top of the openquery(PRODEONE|'SELECT table displayed." Unlike version 10.2, the new 10.6 doesn't display result table when that error occurs

How to change logging directory?
Hi, Is there a way to change the root logging directory for all the log files that are written to [Applications Manager Home Folder]\logs? I have attempted to change the configuration in C:\Program Files\ManageEngine\AppManager\working\conf\logging_parameters.conf and am.log.dir=F:/applicationsManager/logs/ in C:\Program Files\ManageEngine\AppManager\conf\AMServer.properties to no effect. I´m polling just PING command type monitors to a 5 min polling interval, APP MGR v 10 just allow me to consult 6 last hours so i want a query or someting in order to increase this information gather,. Hi, I have have a threshold profile defined as: Critical Severity : Monitored value is > than the Threshold Limit 40 Polls to try 2 Warning Severity : Monitored value is > than the Threshold Limit 30 Polls to try 1 Clear Severity : Monitored value is <= than the Threshold Limit 30 Polls to try 1 When the moniroted value = 35, I correctly get a Waring Alert. But when the monitored value jumps from 25 to 45 between polls, the warning alert is skipped even though the value is greater

'Uncategorized Monitors' group unpredictable behavior.
Over the past few upgrades I've noticed the 'Uncategorized Monitors' group comes and goes in an unpredictable way. Sometimes when I add a new monitor and don't assign it to a group the 'Uncategorized Monitors' group never appears. I have to go to 'bulk configuration' view and 'List View' to find it. Since the 10.5 upgrade 'Uncategorized Monitors' group shows up and never goes away. Even when I remove all new monitors from it. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks

SNMP Monitor and Juniper-Firewall-MIB
We are currently implementing Juniper SRX-400 firewalls and would like to monitor them via SNMP. We successfully added the Juniper-Firewall-MIB to the list of available MIB's but after selecting the MIB and selecting the OID's we would like to monitor the screen refreshes and none of the attributes are attached to the monitor. Do we need to add each OID individually, or am I missing something? Thanks!
Server Monitor - Server Process Monitoring
We are experiencing some weird behavior from a Server 2008 monitor where it will randomly say that the processes we have selected for monitoring are down when they are not in fact down. Re-polling and refreshing the screen does not correct the state. After a couple of hours the monitor returns to sanity and reports the state of the processes correctly. Has anyone seen this behavior before? thanks!
AddMonitor REST call for servers does not support SSH key-based login
Hi, My company uses the latest AppManager. The AddMonitor REST call does not support SSH key-based login, whereas in the UI I can specify SSH username and private key. This makes the REST call AddMonitor useless for me. Is this going to be fixed in the near future? Cheers, Erwin
