Monitor all automatically started windows services
I want to monitor Windows Services. My goal is to monitor every service that is in start mode "automatic". When adding installations on a server the additional services (automatic start mode) should automatically being monitored by AM. Is this possible? Should i create a template with wildcards? Is this even possible? Do any of you have ran into this and found a good solution? Kind Regards, Eric

We have OpManager 11.6 with the APM plugin There is no user manager with the plugin, so access to the APM monitor groups is controlled via the OpMAnager users. Ceph through put displayed as bytes / sec
Hi, We configured Ceph as part of Manage Engine Monitor and see that the throughput is displayed in Bytes/sec. This is significantly lower than the actual numbers. Actual numbers in MB/sec where as the display is bytes/sec. Is this a known issue? If yes any work around or fix? With Best Wishes, Subba

Hi, lately I was playing with RESTFUL API which I find very useful for batch tasks, but I came across situation I cannot overcome. Is there a way to check e.g. if there is already alarm enabled for a certain group of monitors? A more complex SQL script to monitor app status on Database Query Monitor
To monitor the status of an app, I need to monitor a value in CONPRM table called PI_HEARTBEAT, that is updated by app each second or so. If value didn't change after a few seconds, we can assume that there's some issue in the app. I have tried something here on database query monitor but does not seem to work, looks like too complex for use on this feature.. here's the script below which works as expected on sqlplus any ideas? SQL command not properly ended on database query monitor
I'm trying to set up database monitor query but running into some issues. Trying to run a very simple query as the one below: select 'STATE', v FROM DPAADM.CONPRM where P = 'PI_HEARTBEAT'; But getting following error msg at the top of the page when trying to save: Got ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended The query works perfectly fine on toad. What is frustrating also is that even after putting in another query copied from another healthy monitor and saving it, at the top of the page it shows
Can't find "Apps" tab under OpManager build 12100 (APM Plugin)
Hi, the title says pretty much it all - under the main interface of OpManager 12100 there's no "App" tab. Given the (obsolete?) instructions found here https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/apm-plugin.html#InstallInstruct it should be present. The binary is running in the server, the Application Manager page is reachable at http://<opmanager_ip>:9090 but it will only allow a login through OpManager. Under Settings -> Add-On/Products Integration the Application Manager tab is correctly configured.

Hi, another case with strange Application Manager. I've got virtual machine with linux which works fine and the machine is a match with existing monitor templates. Unfortunately, periodically strange errors show up saying that there has been network interface missing. Hello, I've got a problem with Application Manager monitors which apparently are not take into account of the license and that is quite fine. Unfortunately, there was is an issue where I was trying to change one monitor assignment from 127.0.0.1 to the name of the host on which the Application Manager resides. This action made Application Manager think, the monitor(it was db monitor for mssql) is a new monitor and the count of those "free" monitors went down to 4. Neither changing assignment back

We want to monitor Disk space against a DB , please share these details as well. DB2 database monitoring - how to manage multiple databases under one instance (one port #)
So far I am only able to add one database to monitor per port number (what DB2 DBAs call the instance). ManageEngine will only allow one database per port number to be monitored. Is there any way to monitor more than one database under a shared port number? DB2 can allow many databases to operate under one port/listener/instance. Thanks much. Jeffrey Benner

Hi, I create new monitor in apps-messaging system tab. But I forgot to include this monitor to a group or to create a new one, so although it seems created but I could not find it. Problem is the monitor for email server is creating testing email every 5 minutes and I would like to remove this setting. Since I could not find the monitor that I create, i could not remove this and it keep spamming emails. How can I remove the monitor that I create if I could not find it under any group ?

AppManager 12600 Web Transaction Page Problem
Dear Team, We have Application Manager build 12600 installed on Windows 2012 R2 std box with following architecture. 1 Admin Server 2 Managed Server and remote MSSQL DB We have installed one JAVA APM Insight agent successfully, it is collecting data as well. But in APM Insight tab in AppManager web console, when I click on Web Transaction --> Select One Transaction --> Try to get raw data, it is giving me blank page. In my case, Application Manager Web page always can not browser on ie, chrome, firefox.... but the services was normal, like as the send alert or monitor the client servers and the service status of "Applications Manager Managed" was show to started. For solve this problem, we should restart the service - "Applications Manager Managed" or run the command - "shutdownApplicationsManager -force". Is the problem case on the memory or CPU?

Audit report for changes in AppManager
Good day I recently created several threshold profiles within AppManager and associated it to a number of RabbitMQ queues. Everything was setup fine and working. However we dropped the ball when one of the queue thresholds were met and an alert didn't go out. I checked into it and realized that the threshold profiles were no longer associated with the queues, i.e. under Thresholds and Anomalies, there was nothing listed under "Used by" next to the profiles. My question is: How do find out what happened?
Database Query Monitor Alarm Disapears
I've configured several MS SQL database query monitors with custom queries for monitoring specific items on our databases. I'm having an issue where the alarms that I configured on the query results disappear after I configure them. I'll configure the alarm with thresholds and assign it to an email action and it will successfully change the status of the monitor and email the assigned users for about 10 minutes when the conditions are met.
