adding text to domain password policy when changing / resetting passwords via the SelfService portal
Hi, I would like to be able to add text to the page which displays the domain password policy to users when they change or reset their password. I would like to show users what complexity symbols etc they need to use when creating a password. Thanks. Shelton
Is it possible to make the domai user login default instead of the Self-Service Admin login?
I am getting tired of telling users to click the "domain users" login when they get the the ADSSP main login page. I have tried the option to remove the admin login, but I need to access to the admin page often enough that I don't want to have to login to the server every time I need to access that page. Is there some way to either make the "domain users" tab come up first?? Or add a link to it somewhere while still keeping the domain user login in the forefront??

Adding two domains
Hello, I'm testing ADSelfserver plus and I have problem adding a second domain. I can add the first one .... ex : test.com Then I try to add the second one : test-dev.com I have no error message as if it was added successfully but it's not showing anywhere. If I try to add it again, I have a message saying that the domain is already added (so it's been added but not showing up). Now....if I delete the first added domain (in this case test.com), then test-dev.com appears ! If I add test-dev.com
Enrolled Users missing from Database
Last week I was pushing GINA to new desktops and noticed that the number of Enrolled users was 200+. Today the total sits at 72. I tried to access ADSelfService via our test userid and was unable to access .
UPN in GINA?
Hi, I'm currently testing AD SS Plus for deployment in a 15k user company and I'm very pleased with almost everything.My only problems is the GINA module which doesn't seem to allow UPNs (with the @ character). Is it really necessary to use the SAM account Name on the GINA interface or am I doing something wrong? thanks Andre

Login does not suppor the £ (GBP) character
If a user's password includes the GB Pound currency symbol (£) they can not log in to the portal to enroll or change their password. It returns the error Invalid loginName/password

Change password at next logon question
is there a way to use ADselfservice tool with users that have the change password at next login checked? When we set up new user accounts,This is a requorement by management. we have a large amount of vendor accounts That do not have mailboxes, so i can't use OWA password reset options. We are currently testing this product, and would like to use this.
Server 2008 Granular Passwords
I cannot get the software to recognize my password policy when resetting a password. I have a separate password policy for my group but the system is only reading my default domain policy. What do I need to do to get it to recognize the password I have set?
User Can Override Domain Password Policy and change password as much as he wants
Hi, We are experiencing a problem where users can simply override domain password policy by accessing selfservice URL and click on reset password link. our domain password minimum age is set to 2 and password history to 8, and the reset password function doesn't comply with this even if the password policy is displayed in the page. Maximum Unlock/Reset Attempts?
Is there any way to limit the maximum number of attempts to reset or unlock a password? Overall and within a given time period? We'd like to limit the number of failed attempts so that the users have to contact a help-desk/IT employee after the limit is reached.
SQL Injection protection
My employer is looking at purchasing ADSelfService Plus, but is concerned about protection against SQL Injection on the MySQL db. Can anyone confirm whether or not the MySQL db will pass commands from the web application (i.e. special characters used in db queries) to the database without checking the input?

AD Selfservice Plus & SSL Port
Hi We are using AD Selfervice We are using AD Selfervice Ver. 4.4 Build 4430. We want to make SSL. when we enable SSL. the port number will change 9251. My query is.. the port number 9251 also has to change in client site or it will be same 8888. After enabling SSL i waited for 2 days, its not getting change in client side.the port number is still 8888. please help Thanks in Advance
Test button for sending e-mail notification once server settings are configured?
I am going through the log files and see where I'm not getting e-mail messages sent out to notify users of password expiration -- serverout0.txt javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException I have double checked my account settings in the 'Server Settings' configuration page. Is there a way to send a test e-mail through once I've put in my account settings? The only way I can currently figure out is to have the 'report' run and send the messages... Trial set up using GPO
I have downloaded and installed an evaluation copy of ADSelfService Plus. I have confirmed it is all set up according to the instructions. The results of a gpresult on a client machine show the applied security group but does not list the 'InstallAgent.vbs'. After completing multiple reboots the program has not been installed on the client. If I run the script manually, it works perfectly. I do not want to have to handle this manually, as I have to many clients to install if done manually.

I'm looking for a way to modify the wording in "Unlock your Account" and "Reset your Password" pages. Currently, it prints out Domain User Name (Example : John) I would like to change it to the following Domain User Name (Last name+First Initial) (Example : doej) Also, I would like to see if the samAccount could be listed as a column in the Employee AD Search, but list it as "User Name" or "User Name/samAccount"

When an erolled user resets their password, it automatically sets the "user must change password at next logon" flag in Active Directory. Is there a way to disable automatically setting that flag?? Thanks! Brandon

MS Gina deployment via GPO / SMS
We are currently trialing AD Self Service Plus as a potential solution for our users. I have a quick question about other options for deploying the client. The only way to roll out the MS GINA client to user's desktops and laptops seems to be to use the website to push it out. This seems a very manual process especially as I have to worry about laptop users who won't be in the office and users in other time zones who are never in the office when I am. Is there any way to deploy the MS GINA msi using

Domain user automatically in member of field
Hi, I am user a template to create a user account. In the template we only have one field in the "Member of" which is "AGuser". When an account is created and the template above is used, in the Member of field "AGuser" is shown as well as"Domain user" is automatically entered. The "Domain user" is not in the template. E-mail has no real text, just says adssp.xml.notification.pwd_expiry_subject
Users are getting e-mails that just say adssp.xml.notification.pwd_expiry_subject for the subject and adssp.xml.notification.pwd_expiry_body for the body. What can I do to fix this?

Testing the trial but some changing passwords problems
Hi, I am just testing the ADSelfService trial version (the one that is limited for 50 users) in my dc. The domain is a Windows Server 2008, and I have no problems about reading the users from the directory, sending emails to them, creating password policies, and all the others administration tasks. My problem is that if I try to chaneg the password with a domain user, I get the following message: The password does not meet the password policy requirements.
