Manager can update membership (4 years and still no check box)
Would love a check box to allow managers to add members to the groups they manage.
Create Groups Error
Hi All, I am new to ADManager Plus but have a query about a problem I am seeing. I am redesigning our Data Structure and Security Groups. I have done the new folder structure and now want to set up the new Security Groups. So I go to CSV Import and select Create Groups. Unfortunately I get an error as shown in the picture below. If I continue and try to create the SG's it will show the SG's as listed in my CSV but I cannot continue as the "Next" button remains grayed out. I have included a screenshot

I'm wondering if there is a report that I can generate that will show me which users are locked out as well as what domain controller, server, or device is locking them out. Is this possible?
Error while changing password

Hello all We have a requirement in our company that all users calendars are set to reviewer. By default Exchange 2010, the calendar permissions are set to free/busy only. Our helpdesk staff create user accounts by using templates in AD manager. I have written this powershell script, that can be executed from the custom attributes tab in the template. I hope it helps. Delegate user edit option for logon time
I want to know if with the ADmanager Plus I can delegate to Departament Manager the option to edit the time a user can logon a computer. Ex: Users in the sales departament only can logon after 8 a.m, but the Departament Manager wants a particular salesman works earlier. I want to delegate this option, this way the manager doesn't need the IT department. It's possible?
Question about the adsmuserreportresult.ibd File
My adsmuserreportresult.ibd file is 2 gb in size. I'm wondering if this file is exactly what it indicates it is - User Report Results. And if it is, is there a way to clear this out? It sounds like its cacheing report results. This isn't really needed by us, and it would save a lot of disk space if there's a way to clear it out. Thanks.

Disabling and Moving Users
Hello, I understand that it is possible to us Robo Requesters to disable users who have been Idle for a certain time period, i.e. "90 Days". But I am wondering if it is possible to add onto that Robo Requester or add another to move those newly disabled users to a specific OU? Also, is there a way to generate a report detailing the users which were disabled and moved? Thank you in advance.
User Modification feature request
Currently in the User Creation templates I'm able to pull information from other attributes into the description field by using attribute variables (i.e. %title% or %department%). I don't have that same functionality in the User Modification templates. I would like to be able to pull attribute data from other fields using attribute variables in the User Modification templates. This would help reduce manual input of data into that field and also decrease the edit process for user accounts.
ADManager Plus Service not start - Error 1067
We have ADManager Plus 4.0.0 installed and working fine but recently the service is not starting. When trying to start the service manually, it got error message of "Windows could not start the ADManager Plus service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." Automatically update e-mail addresses based on email address policy don't work on new account Creation
i am in a latest version of admanagerplus but i have a problem: when a create a new account "user with external e-mail address" in my Ad and my exchange server the check box "Automatically update e-mail addresses based on email address policy " is disabled in the creation template box is checked: it's work correctly in last version before 5321 it's a probleme for me because i configure alias in my active directory for user with external email adress Can you help me please. thanks
Report of All Server Services and the login accounts used?
Anyone who can help! I need to run a report of all the services running in my domain on the servers - they are almost all located in two different OUs and the script I have sued in the past is not returning the correct information due to some systems changes on our web hosted environment. One report for all user settings
Hello, We are looking into the ADManager and are exited about it. But is there a report that I can select a user and get all of his/her information. Exchange 2010 automatic mailbox selection
With templates you need to specify the mailbox server and the mailbox database...however the best feature of exchange 2010 is the automatic distribution of mailboxes. Automatic mailbox distribution is a new feature in Exchange 2010. If you don't provide a mailbox database when you create a new mailbox on an Exchange 2010 server, Exchange picks a mailbox database for you. How can we leverage this optino with Exchange 2010?

How can I tell which jobs I've started have completed? If I started a job like move home folder, go back in later, how can I tell that this job finished?

When I run jobs to move the home folders path, the source folder and destination folders exsist where the source folder should have been removed.

Unused distribution groups
I read on a forum that someone used AD Manager Plus to provide them with a list of unused distribution groups within the organization. I download the tool to see if this would help me in identifying the unused groups by dont see any way to run this sort of querry. Am I missing something or is this not a capability?

User Modification Template issues
I'm trying to use the User Modification Templates but there are some major issues that prevent me from utilizing them. First, the Profile Path and Home Folder Path options do not pull the %username% variable correctly, they seem to be pulling from the Display Name rather than the User Logon name. Large amount of data in temp\reports\ADSMUserMemberOf directory
We currently have 33 GB of data in the ADManager Plus\temp\reports\ADSMUserMemberOf directory. They are text files dating back months. Are these safe to delete? Is there a process that should be purging this out automatically?

Bulk Password Reset Limitation
Is it possible to restrict the ability to reset multiple passwords within the AD Manager console? We have users with limited rights, and therefore we would prefer they are only able to reset a single password at a time (to avoid an accidental bulk reset). Thanks in advanced.

Is there any way to AdManager using a template to create a computer account based on a sequence? Example: In my AD I have the following format: BF-AD-CT-01 BF-AD-CT-02 BF-AD-CT-04 BF-AD-CT-05 .... note that the position 03 is available now my technicians follow the sequence then the next computer would be BF-AD-CT-06 but ideally would BF-AD-CT-03. After upgrade to ADManager Plus 6.0: Active-Sync no more possible to manage !
after an upgrade from ADManagerPlus 5.2.0 (Build 5231) to 6.0 (Build 6000), it is no more possible to enable/disable Active-Sync Service per mailbox which was formerly possible using the AD Manager Plus Setting called "User Initiated Synchronization" in the Exchange section. Beside of this, the setting "User Initiated Synchronization" shows status enabled for all mailboxes which do not have Active-Sync enabled on the backend. Exchange Version used is Exchange 2007 SP3

Report permission delegation
I would like users to be able to run NTFS reports on share permissions, however, in order for the reports to work correctly, the user would need to be a domain admin otherwise they do not have the permissions to view NTFS permissions on the shares. Is there a way to delegate these permissions, but only for the reporting feature within ADManager? I don't want these users to be able to make changes or to perform any other domain admin level tasks.
Folders accessible by Accounts report filtering
When attempting to run this report for a specific security group, it lists all the folders that have "Everyone" listed as having access. I'd like to just see what folders the specific group can access. Is there a way to filter this report or possibly another report I can run to get this information? Example: We have a group named Finance. Finance has access to the folders "Finance", "Budget", and "Daily Journal". I want the report to list those 3 folders, not those 3 folders, as well as "Shared",

We are attempting to import users with a CSV file and we are receiving an error on the OUName field. The full error is; Error In Accessing the Container,An invalid dn syntax has been specified. - Error Code : 80072032. Here is an example of the DN that we are using in the OUName Field of the CSV File. "OU=Users,OU=WT,OU=Branch,OU=Staff,DC=nypl,DC=local" We verified that the OU Exists. Thank you.
NTFS reports come back empty
Hi, When I run the NTFS report to show Permissions for Folders, the report comes back blank. Other users are able to run the report for the same folder using the same criteria. These users have been delegated fewer permissions (I am a superadmin). This happens to me regardless of where I log on from. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Old Robo Requester
Hi For a while now we have been using Robo Requesters to sinlge out inactive users, disable them and move them. It is a great system. Because of lack of manpower for a while the RR's have not been processed and we are picking this up again. Result is, a lot of RR's have run and are on workflow status Raised. We have continued with the latest raised RR. The older RR's contain the names of users that have now been processed and are no longer valid. The list is polluting the view and I would like to
