Newbie here: 1. Does the ADManager Plus have the ability to auto - generate passwords? It appears that it does but I would like to confirm. 2. Is there a report available to display the password for all users? thanks Dan

Changing users OU via CSV
We have to introduce a restructure 1 January 2007. Currently AD is setup with users in correct structure within the AD. We are wanting to bulk move users from current AD structure with them in specific OU's into new OU containers and at the same time rename the values in Office, Department and Company fields via CSV. Is this possible, if so is there any chance of a sample CSV file with header row ?
View SSN from AD in AD Manager
We use the AD SSN field to verify we have the correct user when we change the password. I cannot get that field in AD Manager. How can I get that? Dknoebber
Active computers shown as not connected
Hi, Having just done a report for last connected computer date, I looked through the report to find an active computer, which is currently connected, as having not been connection for 180 days. Is there a fix to this? Many thanks Simon

Limiting Password Reset Screen
I was wondering if there is a way that you can limit what a person can do on the password reset part of AD manager, such as if you always want them to have to type a password for a user and also if you can set the menu's up so that when they do a reset it will make them reset the password on the next login. Can *other* users log into AD Manager?
hi, quick question. Can *other* users log into AD Manager to change passwords? My secnorio is that i work in a school and want staff to be able to change student passwords by themselves , however after using delagation tool in AD manager, i have noticed that user's cannot log into AD Manger (i thought tha 4.1 supported multiply login's?). any comments would be very helpful. cheers, Aaron

Computer account lastlogontime
Our engineers developed a script to pull the lastlogontime attribute which reports a 5hour discrepency between admanagers lastlogontime for the computer account, we verified that the script is using the correct AD attribute, not the attribute that is replicated which updates every 14 days (lastlogontimestamp, i think). I was curious as to how we can verify the real last logon time of a computer account. Is admanager correct or is the vb script correct. Keep in mind that we are aware of the 64bit

We would like the same features as users have, except for contacts instead. We basically want to manage a number of DLs with external addresses. Many of the contacts are on other DLs as well, so duplicate management is a real hassle right now. OU Based Help Desk User
I would like to setup a helpdesk role that locks the user into a specific OU. The reason behind this is to keep our helpdesks separate and not allow them to query other parts of the AD. I want to setup my Human Resource dept to be able to modify the basic information of users, but on an independant scale and without the use of importing a CSV file. I think a neat feature that could be added to AD MANager would be a message broadcast capability that broadcast to selected users/groups based on logon with AD - rather than via a net send equivalent ..... thoughts anyone...? CSV Import - Bulk Contacts
I would like to be able to enter bulk CONTACTS. Contacts with email addresses that are external to our organization. I have CSV files with many names and e-mail addresses. As it is now I have to enter these contacts one by one. Is there a way to bulk import them (giving them the attributes, and adding them to the same groups as existing Contacts)? Brian Goins

Hi We are using ADManager Plus to create accounts, it creates the AD account, but does not create the mailbox. I have looked into similar problems and all seem to say log in to the account, or send email to the account and it will create it, but not in this case. The email gets returned and the mailbox cannot be found by outlook. Any ideas? Thanks
