Hi, i have created a power user and delegate reset password control to that particular power user with delegation control over one group of users. However i found that, that power user has the right to reset other group's users, including those administrators. can anyone give me some advice? thanks in advance
service not starting on windows 2003
I have tried to install the ADManager on one of our servers (not a DC), and it installs, but the service won't start. This is the error box that comes up with I try to start the services from services.msc: I then installed it on another server and it works fine. Is there anything specifically that might be conflicting with its operation on the first box?

Can't add a helpdesk user
Hi, I just install the new version 4.1 When I try to add a new helpdesk user, i get this message : "Error in Adding User : License Level Exceeded. Cannot Add HelpDesk Users." I have a licence for one domain with unlimited objects. Do we have to buy a new licence ??? Thks. Guillaume

Exchange mailbox store,
I need to add bulk users to a specific mailbox store in exchange, how do I do that? I prepare the csv file, and use a template , but no where does it ask me where do I want the mailboxes to be places, in which mailbox store, and it places them in one of the current stores. Also if I want to use first initial + middle initial + last name as a logon how can I add this? this combination doesn't exist thanks
Password Generator
When changing the password, we get a message stating not compatible with the domain. We require complex passwords, 6 characters long. Does the automatic password generator not work with this set-up?

Inactive user Reporting not accurate
We are reviewing your product to see if it will solve our Reporting and Auditing requirements. A couple questions I have are as follows: I've have specified all 14 of our domain controllers and ran an inactive user report for accounts that are Enabled but not active for more then 30 days on our Domain. However, the report pulls both Enabled and Disabled accounts while I need to specify only Enabled. The 'QuickSearch' feature appears to resolve this. Just a few queries on the latest version: When creating Helpdesk Users, theres a maximum of 2 on the free version. Is this restricted on the full version and if so, what is the maximum? When logging in with an Active Directory account, when completing changes in ADManager Plus, does it use the credentials of the user authenticating to the web page or the credentials used for the application? Finally, I want to create a user template that uses the Firstname initial and Surname. Is this possible? Thanks.

Any way to add AD authentication to the login? Only having a single user "admin" seems a little limited to me. Would be nice if you could have some different users Administrators, reports only user, etc. I think you get the idea. I couldn't find a way to do this unless I am over looking something.
Bulk User Creation says successfull- but not in AD
When creating users via a template and bulk user creation (NOT AN IMPORT), when I am finished adding users, and I choose the OU to instert them into, ADManager says for each account that it was successfully created, however, in Active Directory those users do not exist!! It works when I do acouple of users at a time, but I just typed in over 400 users and imported them, just to find that it did not do ANYTHING? Any Help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Allow users update own information
Is there a way to set security roles so that users can update only their own information in AD?
Dashboard View does not update
I am testing AD Manager at the moment. I deleted several computer account in my domain. But when I go to the Dashboard View of AD Manager, it still shows the same number of computers before the deletion. How can I refresh the Dashboard view? Thanks.
Allowing a user limited access
I have just purchased ADManager and would like to allow certain members of staff the ability to reset passwords for their department. I have delegated this to their account. How do they now reset the password? If I install ADManager then they can see the whole of AD etc. which i don't want. Is there a lite version to perform these tasks?
Only 100 Users Are Displayed
I have downloaded the DEMO and want to try updating all of my users to use a new login script in Profile Attributes. However only 100 of my users are display and we have over 600. Why is this happening, is this a limitation of the free download?

Possible to create security/disttribution groups?
Hi all, I'm just evaluating this software to see if it's a good fit for aiding in delegating AD rights to our helpdesk, etc. Is it possible to create security/distribution groups in the managed domain with this tool directly? If not, this seems like an oversight, but perhaps I'm not fully informed (spent all of 10min with this software now). Thanks! Chris

Hi Does ADManager allow an AD auditor to maintain an audit trail of actions on AD objects? For example, keep a record of creation, deletion of users, maintain audit trail of changes to users - for example, name changes, password resets, GPO changes, rights to shares, etc? Thanks Iyer
Select Group Sorting order
I am trying to look at some AD reports (in particular users that belong to a group). As I get the drop down list that says "Select a Group" I am sitting here looking through the thousand plus groups that we have. Is there any way to have them in some type of order? Alphabetical Maybe? It would make it MUCH easier to be able to find the group that I need to search for.

AD Manager Plus keeps Restarting
Hello, is there any reason why AD Manager Plus keeps restarting when I run certain reports such as security reports, I am only pointing to one domain server and it is local.

Names in our domain is in win-1251 encoding and ADManager display them in "???" characters. Please, help!
Terminal Services Error
When I create a new user or try to modify existing user's terminal services properties I get the following error. Error Message : Error In Setting Terminalservice Properties,The parameter is incorrect - Error Code : 57 I tried stopping the ManageEngine ADManager Plus service and restarting and that didn't help.
